Overview

Love specialty coffee? Learn the ins and outs of how to pull a perfect espresso shot—and then try your hand at latte art—during this hands-on, small-group class. In the afternoon, make your own way to the roastery and training lab, where you’ll have the chance to try out professional coffee machines. Led by your barista instructor, you’ll learn essential skills for making delicious espresso drinks.

    What To Expect

    Express your inner barista with this espresso and latte art class in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. You’ll learn from a seasoned barista who is ready to share their craft.

    Your tour starts by meeting your guide and small, intimate group (max 4) at the designated location. Then you’ll start your interactive coffee course.

    Learn about types of espresso, sample some, and then use tools and coffee machines to make an espresso recipe.

    Also learn to make latte art. Your barista will teach you their honed techniques.

    The next time you invite friends for coffee, they’ll be well impressed with your recently acquired skills.

    This was a really cool and unique experience. I've always wanted to learn how to make espresso drinks, like lattes and cappuccinos, and this class will show you exactly how they are made. You will get plenty of hands-on experience with "pulling" espresso shots and making latte art. Louis was a great instructor and he answered all of my questions. I was the only one in the class at the time and I had a great experience. This was something really unique and different and I really learned a lot.

    Where to start! From the amazing, knowledgeable, down to earth instructor (Luis) to the experience of creating your own latte w/ art, the full experience was incredible. 11/10, highly recommend

    Had a blast. Luis, the instructor, was very nice and we got to use some really high-quality machines and coffee/milk. Being a barista takes a lot of practice, and we were able to go over all the fundamentals.

    Instructor was so chill and relaxed. He broke everything down and made it easy to understand. I thought I would be interested for 15 minutes but I was entertained the whole 2 hours. My home coffee will be much better from now on.

    Luis was a knowledgeable instructor. We loved that we were able to attempt repeatedly to create coffees without a set number of attempts. The space could have been more comfortable. It was a 2 hour class- be prepared to stand the entire time.

    The building was unkept and it was uncomfortable navigating the building. Does not look as advertised online. The class itself was great but the location was not.

    Got this class as a gift for my husband who has recently gotten very into coffee and wasn't exactly sure what to expect -- but we really enjoyed it and learned so much! Luis was knowledgeable and super approachable, it was really easy to ask him questions and he was always able to offer an answer or help brainstorm solutions. I honestly enjoyed the latte art portion of the class more than I expected and we're enjoying trying out at home the techniques about brewing and art that we learned. The setting is pretty casual, it's just a workspace really, but if you're interested in learning more about espresso I definitely recommend this class!

    Great class! Learned a lot of great tips for making espresso and learned how to troubleshoot some of the problems we were having at home. Also got to learn how to froth milk and do latte art which was really fun. Highly recommend this!

    Great class where we learned to make espresso and latte art. This was a hands-on for me and my mom that went perfectly. Would absolutely recommend Luis and his class!
