Apache Trail Tour
PAULA_R, Apr 2024
Eric was a great tour guide and driver. Very enjoyable experience through Apache Trail, Superstition Mountains, a visit to ghost town and then on to Steamboat ride. Also enjoyable music and lunch at Tortilla Flats.
Great Trip

Eric was just wonderful. Looked after my husband with a bad knee. Always made sure he was ok. We really had a great time!!!

Eric was a good guide and wish I could have given him a better gratuity. Disappointed the trip didn't include stopping at Lost Dutchman state park. The ticket information noted admission to the park was included in the tour costs.
Great tour, great guide
Gina_A, Mar 2024
Our tour was great because of the locations we visited and our guide, Frank, who is a pro! Besides providing interesting information about the places we visited, he educated us about native plants and animals, and the Phoenix climate. We really enjoyed our day!
Great time
MEYERM_K, Mar 2024
We were met at our hotel by Don right on time at 7:40am. We were greeted with a smile and a cheery hello. From the time we got on the van until we got off at the end of the tour, Don kept us both entertained and informed. We learned a lot about Arizona and our surroundings as we traveled. The highlight of our trip was the Dolly Steamboat trip. We weren’t sure what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. The views of the canyon from the water were spectacular. This was the highlight of our trip. We followed up the steamboat ride with a stop at Tortilla Flats for lunch. This also turned out to be an unexpected treat. When we arrived, it was packed, but the wait turned out to be brief. The food was very good as was the service. All in all, we had a wonderful time and I am very comfortable in recommending this tour.
Skip Alaska...take this tour!
Joseph_Z, Mar 2024
The scenery on the boat tour was spectacular...in fact I thought it surpassed what we viewed during a boat tour we took in Alaska! Our tour guide, Chris was a wealth of knowledge and shared interesting facts and stories throughout our time on the van.
Nice Trip

Great Way To Spend a Day!
Molly_M, Feb 2024
The fact that the driver…Frank…and the passengers went to great lengths to find the address to pick me up. The address and details had been given on line and on the phone…but got mixed up? Thanks for the great efforts, it meant I didn’t have to miss a great day out.
Amazing

The Steamboat ride was great. And the staff Across Arizona was terrific. They informed me of all the history of Scottsdale and Phoenix.
Relaxing, great history, and wonderful photo opts!!

Great tour!! Frank is the man-request him!! Lunch at the restaurant in tortilla flat, that’s papered in dollar bills. Long horn sheep, saguaros, and sheer rock-photo opts everywhere.
Great way to see the West.

What a fantastic tour! Our guide Eric was friendly and helpful and full of information about the places we visited. We began with the Goldfield Ghost Town, where we learned about different kinds of cacti and had time to shop and look around. Then it was off to the Steamboat ride. A perfect day on Canyon Lake with a great crew. Lunch at Tortilla Flats felt like dining in an old West saloon. Eric navigated the winding roads of the Apache Trail very easily. I was glad I wasn't driving and could just look at the view. A perfect way to spend the day. Highly recommended.
Beautiful scenery!...
Sandra_N, Nov 2023
Beautiful scenery! Enjoyed the Dolly boat ride. Wish we could have had more time at the Goldfield ghost town instead of sitting for an hour waiting for the boat.
Tour Guide is Great, Boat Ride is Wonderful, Van is Not as Described
David_W, Nov 2023
Kim, our tour guide is just fine. She took good care of us. Other than riding on the steamboat Dolly, we did visit a desert museum and an "abandoned" gold mining town. The boat ride is wonderful. The van is definitely as advised on Viator. Instead of a "stretched" 15 seater for maximum 10 people, our van is at best a 12 seater and we had 9 tourists (in 4 different hotels) plus Kim in it. It is old, crowded and bumpy. The door also seemed to require special skill to open. Anyhow, the ride is not so pleasant and it was a long day. I wish they provide better transportation for the kind of money we paid.

All of it. The stories, the history and the amazing views. Eric was very informative, funny and accommodating. I would join his tour every time!
An unforgettable family trip
Rainbow_J, Jul 2023
We enjoyed the Dolly Steamboat tour the most. Although the temperature was very hot, we felt very refreshing to be on the water and inside an air conditioning boat. The scenery throughout the whole ride was breathtaking. Definitely something we don’t see living in a busy city. In addition, the Gold Field Ghost Town was very interesting place to visit. Our tour guide, Frank, was amazing. He’s very knowledgeable and shared with us some photography techniques. He took some great photos for our family.
A perfect day!

It would be impossible to pick our favorite part. Our tour guide, Frank, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Also, he was great with helping us with our groups sensitivities and allergies to a variety of foods. The steamboat ride was majestic! The restaurant in Tortilla Flat was really cool and I will be dreaming of their chicken tacos until we can get back there again. Absolutely delicious! The entire experience was worth every penny and more!
Shopping, Boat Ride, Lunch & Scenery

Had an amazing time with our tour guide Frank. Enjoyed his knowledge of area and plants being a photographer. He even showed us the panoramic feature on our cell phones and took a few group photos of us. We saw the cactus and mountain scenery, stopped at Old Goldsmith town, enjoyable walk around with some stores just opening for a souvenir that was needed. Then headed to boat for a nice ride on Canyon Lake. Watch the wind on upper deck of boat for a ball cap was lost, blew off head into water. Had a nice lunch at the restaurant in Tortilla Flats trying the Prickly Pear Lemonade and enjoyed walking around the town. I thought it was nice to be picked up and dropped off where we were staying. I'd do again for a future visit if it fit into our schedule and activities. We even got a glimpse at a couple bighorn sheep at the top of the canyon.
