What To Expect

After hotel pickup in Phoenix, you’re transferred to Deer Valley Airport, or make your own way there at your chosen departure time. Once the licensed pilot and experienced crew get your hot air balloon ready for flight, climb inside the basket for the approximate 1-hour ride.

You’ll feel almost motionless as your balloon gently leaves the ground, traveling at speeds of 5–6 mph (8–9.6 kph). Float with the wind on an airy ride at elevations as high as 5,000 feet (1,524 meters). During your breathtaking journey, peer out over the Phoenix valley and enjoy a panoramic vista above the impressive saguaros of the Sonoran Desert.

Exhilaration comes with the sunrise followed by a gourmet breakfast. Upon landing, take part in a ballooning tradition by toasting your aerial tour with chilled Champagne. Then enjoy cuisine catered by the award-winning French-fusion restaurant, Vincent on Camelback. (See sample menus in Itinerary below.)

You’ll receive a commemorative flight certificate and, if you opted for hotel transport, be dropped off in Phoenix to complete your tour.

This was the most amazing experience from the moment we got there it was organized so well. The flight was amazing with a wonderful pilot - Mike Johnson. Ground crew - joy, Joseph and Alex has a beautiful breakfast and toast set up and Mike was the perfect host. Highly recommend!

Our pilot was really outgoing, extremely funny and really personable. Offered many points of interest during flight. The breakfast after was nice touch followed by history of how ballooning began. Crew were really friendly and offered to take pictures.

Last hot air balloon before the honeymoon

It was wonderful to look over the desert as the sun began to rise. Everyone we came into contact with was wonderful and so pleasant. As well as, helpful and attentive. They explained every step of the process so well, I felt like I walked away learning so many new things I didn’t know about hot air balloons. It was especially memorable with the light brunch that was provided after we landed. Even though I have a fear of heights I was surprised I felt so at easy in the sky, it was relaxing and I felt extremely safe thanks to the balloon pilot and crew! I would highly recommend this for anyone that wants to do something unconventional for a vacation, anniversary, birthday or like a bachelorette trip like my group did.

Awesome experience. First of all, I was picked up at my hotel, which, to me, was awesome because it saved me about 80 bucks and a headache from Uber. After a smooth drive, we arrived to the launch area. The crew was first class. They explained everything we needed to know, including how to board, where to stand, etc. Before you know it, we were up in the air. KASEY, the pilot, made sure the ride was smooth and that we got great shots. After we landed, Kasey, brought us to a table that was set up with our breakfast and champagne. We toasted, and got to know each other. Before you know it, it was time to head home. I enjoyed every minute.

This was my first time in a hot air balloon and it was amazing! The whole experience from beginning to end was great and the breakfast at the end was delicious. Mike is a great pilot and really funny gut. Again I enjoyed everything from the beginning to end.
