Learn how to prepare traditional Thai cuisine during a 4-hour cooking class. Convenient transportation takes you from your hotel to Kata. The best traditional cook class and market tour I have experienced

We were collected from our hotel on time by Wooddy. After collecting the remainder of people for this experience, we were taken to a local fresh food market to explore all the produce available in the region and pick up a few items needed for the cooking class. Wooddy was very good at explains what all the produce was and in what type of Thai dishes it would be used in. Once we arrived at Wooddy Kitchen, we were taken on a tour of the garden that grows many of the produce used in the cooking classes. We then prepared all the ingredients for 4 dishes followed by carefully instructed guidance from Wooddy and his team. We then sat down to enjoy our creations. I have to admit that they were the best tasting Thai food I have ever had. After lunch we were rolled out of the class and back into the van and returned to our hotel, where I dropped into a food coma for 3 hours 🤣. Wooddy speakers excellent English (much better than my Thai) and made the entire experience one to remember. Oh, I should also mention that the dishes that you cook, as well as several others, are sent to you to try at home.

The friendliness and professionalism of the chef and staff made for a very enjoyable experience. Not only were we shown what to cook we were able to partake in preparation and cooking. The highlight was being able to eat a delicious meal.

Absolutely amazing Woody, I messaged him to confirm details and woody kept me updated. He took us to thee see market explained the seasonal fruits a the ones we will be cooking with. He explained the food step by step as was very accommodating to my mum was allergic to shellfish. He made us feel at home and took the time and effort to answer all our questions. The food was absolutely amazing definitely worth it will recommend it to anyone!!!

Wooddy and his Wife were just wonderful! What a great experience. Great teacher and the food was so good all I want to do is find the right ingredients at home so I can make that Pad Thai again! And the Mango with Sticky rice was droolicious.. The market tour was also very informative and Wooddy even gave me courage to try Durian for the first time. kap khun ka Wooddy!

Wooddy was awesome! He created a menu that could be tweaked to your individual needs/preferences. At the market he showed us unique fruits and vegetables that we wouldn’t find in the states. He was thorough in his explanations of how to prepare the different dishes.

My teenage son and I had a great time with Wooddy. The entire experience ran really smoothly, he was exceptionally helpful, excellent English and we learnt so much. As we were the only participants we were able to choose the exact dishes that we fancied and very much look forward to reproducing these on our return to England. Wooddy offers extra things such as fruit tasting a personalised certificate which will make your day more memorable.

Must do if you love to cook (or just eat) Thai food!

Fantastic trip through the market and then to Wooddy's to cook. We were lucky to just be the two of us this day so a private lesson with 4 dishes which all came out great. Wooddy also provides printed out recipes to take home that include a lot more dishes. We came home and made coconut sticky rice with mango for a family celebration and everybody raved. Would do again in a heartbeat!

Our teacher was brilliant, explaining ingredients in detail and highlighting which are not easily available in the western world I.e. what makes a dish truly authentic Thai food. We had an amazing time and the food tasted delicious, would certainly recommend!

We enjoyed this experience so much! It was fantastic to visit the market first and see our teacher purchase the ingredients we’d use later. Being in a small group made the class very hands-on and help was always available when cooking. The dishes we prepared were delicious! Great to take the recipes home too.
