Please be aware the Cathedral of Pisa is an “operating” church, and it can be closed to visitors for any liturgical reason, even without warning (for the funeral of a Cardinal, for example).
Children under the age of 9 are not allowed to climb the leaning tower for safety reasons, but they can enjoy other parts of the tour.

There are 251 steps to climb the tower. There is no lift.
No big bags or backpacks. No Sleeveless shirts or shorts.

Please note, the off season is often used as an opportunity for restorations, often unannounced.
Individuals wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts or skirts above the knees are not allowed inside the Cathedral.
Please be advised that the Baptistery will be closed to visitors from 2 October to 1 December 2023 due to restoration work of the matroneum. The tour will include a visit to Camposanto instead during this period.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

The Pisa tour experience stole our hearts.

Our tour guide was amazing! She knew so many things about every aspect of the baptistry, the chapel, the cemetery and Pisa. She as prompt and on time, had us through all of the check-ins without any problems, gave us time to use the restroom and had our bag storage all set up and paid for so we could climb Pisa without any issues. We felt like it was totally worth the money we paid for the tour and Pisa became one of our very favorite parts of our trip to Italy! We would do it again.

This was a last minute booking and we had a great time! We were nervous things would be closed with it being Easter but this last minute option was a great choice. Our tour guide was so nice and the tour group was small. She did not leave without making sure everyone was together and made sure we got all the pictures or questions we needed before leaving! I definitely recommend!

Seeing the church and cemetery. We walked all over at the beginning because we had to turn in our voucher to get ticket. As it turned out our guide had the tickets. The information given us was incorrect.

Guide arrived 5mins before tour started and was easy to find. She was excellent, very well informed and communicated very clearly. We had plenty of free time within the Baptistry and Duomo at which time the guide was available to answer our questions. We never felt rushed and we had a great experience. Pisa is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit. This tour was good, taking us to and explaining some of the lesser known parts of Pisa (things other than the leaning tower). Our tour guide was also very knowledgeable. The only reason for four stars is because our tour guide was not at the meeting point specified in the voucher until the start time (maybe even a couple minutes late). It wasn’t a big deal though as I called the tour company (with the number listed on the voucher) and they worked with us and the guide to get us connected. Not sure if there was some kind of disconnect in the meeting point, but our guide showed up with a few other people in our group and not only picked us up, but another couple that was at the place listed on the voucher as well (and confused like us). We still got to go on and do everything listed on our tour and had a great time.

Daria is one of the best tour guides I have ever had for any number of reasons. She's the first and only guide through Viator who has ever contacted me through WhatsApp. That was so helpful in terms of finding each other in advance. Not only that, she checked in with us after the tour to see how the rest of our day went! She knew SO much about the history of Pisa. She knew exactly where to take the best pictures. She had excellent recommendations for how to spend our time in Pisa after the tour. This turned out to be one of our favorite days of our trip and it had so much to do with Daria. We can't thank you enough! I'd highly recommend this to anyone.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa was an interesting area including the Cathedral and cemetery building. Our guide had a lot of facts and historical data to share with us and was able to answer our questions. Example: that Pisa and Florence were not friendly even now because Florence battled them and won more than once. The cathedral had a service going on and the choir was lovely to listen to.

15/10. Fabulous! We had an amazing tour that was basically a private tour. Viola is amazing! We learned so much and had a wonderful experience. We climbed to the top of the leaning tower which has an amazing view of Pisa and watched the sunset which is as good as it sounds.
