  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • Dress code is smart casual. Shoulders must be covered to visit the Cathedral
  • A maximum of 15 people per booking
  • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation (up to 24 hours before the start time) if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
  • Minimun numbers apply for the language. If there are not enough passenger asking for the same language the tour could be bilingual
  • Please note: the Cathedral in closed on Sunday mornings (it will open at 2pm)
  • Admission is free only for disabled visitors with their helper, upon presentation of suitable certification to the cashier.
  • For safety reasons, children who will not have turned 8 by the end of this year as well as infants are not permitted to enter.
  • Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. ID may be requested to certify the age.
  • Hand bags/bags/luggage must be left at the cloakroom before the visit and picked up at the end of the visit.
  • The visit takes about 35 minutes. The climb is on foot and there are 251 steps.
  • The visit is not recommended for people with cardiovascular and muscular disorders.
  • The floor is uneven and slippery
  • The guide will wait at the meeting point not longer than 5', then the tour starts. If you are late you can try to call the guide and reach the group at the entrance of the Leaning Tower.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Perfect morning in Pisa

This was a wonderful, informative, private tour. Our guide was Eloise and we were her only two participants. We met at the gate of the Piazza dei Miracoli aka Square of Miracles bright and early in the morning. What an extra treat to take in such a historic landmark in the morning sunlight with hardly anyone there. Our photographs were primo and lightly peppered with people. Eloise walked us through the Square, filling our time with historic knowledge and details, not only of the tower but the baptistery, the cathedral, the cemetery and the museum. We made our way around the Square for the full hour. Eloise assisted us in checking in our small bags and gave us our tickets to enter the cathedral before leaving us to climb the tower of Pisa on our own. Grazie mille Eloise for such a wonderful morning! Our tower climb time was 9:30a, we entered, climbed and took our time taking in the breathtaking views at the top. Once finished with the climb, we made our way over to the cathedral using our timed tickets we were given and enjoyed the inside of the cathedral taking in the art, the architecture and its beauty. This was a excellent private tour.

We were late, due to traffic issues but the guide was so nice to adjust our tour. On top of that, she was so knowledgeable on the tower and the historical background of the center that we were overwhelmed w her and the tour. Highly recommend!!!! Hacosta SATX

The tower was a highlight but the guide didn’t join us at the top which was disappointing for the price.

In the description of the tour you bought, the following is written: "You'll visit this gorgeous square with an expert guide for 1 hour, then half hour on your own to climb the leaning tower." It clearly means that you bought 1 hour tour with an expert local guide that will leave you at the entrance of the bell tower, not before she/he is sure you have entered the the Leaning Tower to climb it to the top ON YOUR OWN. It is therefore clear that the problem is that what the tour offers has not been carefully read. We invite you to pay more attention in the future because a hasty review can damage professionals who take so much care of their work. Regards

Recommend this tour if you’re visiting Pisa. Skip-the-line tickets to go up the tower are worth the cost. Eloise was a great guide who provided history and a locals love for the area. Having a guide in the Cathedral is a definite bonus.

Good morning, thanks for the time you used for this review, really appreciated. Anyway it is the first time that someone says there were not long lines in Pisa for the Leaning Tower. Maybe it was just because what was around you was so nice that you did not focused on the thousands of people in the Square. I prefer to think that our local guides, thanks to their great experience and knowledge, are so great that you didn't realize that it was high season, a few days before Easter, and in the Square of Miracles there was the whole world queuing everywhere ;) Thank you!
