We do not have time slots. We leave the port 45 minutes after your ship docks. Please disembark as quickly as possible and be at the pick-up location no more than 45 minutes after your ship docks. We can pick you up in: Amber Cove, Taino Bay, and within the Puerto Plata city, ours service included all hotel of the zone. Amber Cove: the pick up will be outside of the port, after the principal gate, left side of the avenue. About 10 to 12 minutes walk. Taino Bay: the pick up will be at the main entrance, at the right side of the taxi station, outside of the door. About 10 minutes walk. For more information, please contact us.

What To Expect

This half-day adventure starts with a pickup in the Dominican Republic at the place you requested when booking this tour online.

Once you’ve been picked up, head over to the visitor’s center and start your time in an open-air restaurant with mountain views as you eat traditional Dominican food and sip drinks. After that, your guide gets you suited up in your gear, including a life jacket.

Follow your nature guide through forests and across bridges, taking in the beauty all the way to a rocky hilltop. Choose to jump or slide down your first waterfall, and then do it again at up to seven more waterfalls, too.

Your private Damajagua waterfalls adventure ends back with drop-off at your original pickup location.

Best tour in Puerto Plata

One of the best excursions I’ve been on! The waterfalls and lunch buffet were excellent! The hike was moderately strenuous and some of the jumps were big, so I would not recommend for those who are not moderately adventurous and moderately fit. The taxi and tour guides were very nice. They give you a bottle of water for your hike. All you need to bring is water shoes. The buffet lunch was unlimited and very good. Traditional dominican chicken and rice, also salad and vegetables.

The most incredible experience ever

I can’t speak highly enough of this experience. Booked through ViaTor in lieu of the cruise line saved us a little over half, and the experience was supreme. Personal driver instead of the tour bus, and our own personal guide. This man was amazing! We met outside the gates of the terminal and then he dropped us off at the trailhead with a waterfall guide he wanted us to have, not just the next one, which was awesome. The experience was superb. When we finished the trail, he was waiting for us and got us into lunch before the crowds came, and then since we had time left over, (since it was just 4 of us and not the whole bus full like the cruise), he took us to a local plantation where we saw what Dominican homesteading was like. We experienced home grown hot chocolate and coffee, fruits and so on that were unreal, all for free and not part of the prescribed tour. The pineapple, mango, and banana was the best I’ve ever had and grown like 30 feet away. I would do this your over and over again and can’t speak highly enough of the operator.

This was a fantastic tour. Half the price of booking through the cruise line, included lunch (unlike the cruise tour), and incredibly well-organized and safe. Plus you beat the massive cruise crowds to the park. Sammy was a terrific guide and our family had a blast! Beware - the hike is strenuous. Bring good shoes!

Worthwhile Waterfall Workout!

Sammy was an excellent guide who told us much about the Dominican Republic on our way to the falls. While the hike was a bit strenuous, it was definitely worth it to be able to jump, slide, and swim in and around the beautiful waterfalls of Damajagua. The food at the end was like a delicious reward after a fun day of adventure. If you are relatively fit, then I highly recommend this tour.

It was a great experience. Be prepared for a very nice hike, but one you start, it's well worth it. The beauty of this place is unexplainable, you have to experience it for yourself. The waterfall are great so we're the guides. Enjoy your day and keep making memories

Great tour! Highly recommend!! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. The falls were gorgeous. The hike wasn't that bad we felt, we are an active family. We felt safe and taken care of. The food at the end was amazing!!

Adventure in the DR!!

Wow! What an adventure! Two adults and 4 teenagers absolutely loved this activity. We were picked up promptly from our cruise terminal, comfortably shuttled to the National Park and took off to jump and slide down 7 falls. Sammy was a wonderful host, giving info about DR and providing happy hospitality all the way. The buffet was an added treat after working up an appetite. Expect an adrenaline rush!

Great excursion and chance to experience the falls and Dominican culture. The entire trip was well planned and organized. There were 100's of visitors this day, but the team was super efficient. The climb up was good exercise and the 7 falls (jump, slide, climb) were exhilarating. The guides were knowledgeable and safe. Meal served afterward was outstanding and authentic. Stop at a local market for cigars, chocolate and jewelry was great. Sammie and his team did an outstanding job!

We had a wonderful time with this excursion! Because we booked outside of the cruise line, we were with one other family and arrived before the cruise bus. That gave us place at the head of the crowd so we were able to enjoy the adventure ahead of the others. The excursion was exciting and what an adrenaline rush!!
