Stefany and Juelz were wonderful tour guides full of facts about the foliage around us, motivation and banter while tackling the hike and water parts of the excursion. The rainforest pools you reach at the end of the trip are a magical space and I would recommend everyone to get on this tour

A very fun time, but here are some tips…
Will_S, Mar 2024
The experience overall was really fun and cool to see. The tour guides were incredibly nice and super helpful. This was a great way to see a small piece of El Yunque. The negatives are that it is not really a hike. You walk for about 15 minutes and already arrive at the waterfalls. Not much nature to see but you do spend plenty of time at the waterfalls and in the natural springs. Outside of travel time, you are there for about 2 hours. Also, you technically are not in the national forest. You are in some large landowners backyard who rents out the space for people to use. It may seem odd at first but it is totally fine. Be prepared to be fully submerged in water in your clothing and shoes but also have a lot of fun.

Great experience!

Overall, it was a great experience. Our tour guides were awesome. My wife is not the best hiker but Stephanie and Taina were very supportive and encouraging. Highly recommend both of them! The yunque forest was absolutely beautiful as well!
Not really a rainforest tour, just a rushed trip to the swimming area.
Vern_C, Mar 2024
A better rainforest trip for us would have been spending more time in the actual forest learning about the ecosystem. Instead, we were rushed through a beaten path to the natural waterslide and the swimming area. We opted not to do the waterslide or the rope swing. So, we spent the last half of the allotted time for the "rainforest tour" sitting and watching others. Our choice, but we would have much rather toured the rainforest than swim.
Don’t go!
Sian_H, Mar 2024
This tour is a scam. It isn’t the real El Yunque tour. It is operated through someone’s back yard and you hardly see any of the rainforest. It is ridiculously overcrowded, to the point of being dangerous. The path is treacherous - slippery and muddy. I saw a few people get injured. The extent of the risk was not adequately disclosed in the tour description. There is very little discussion of the rainforest and the actual hike is only about 30 minutes, over rocks, tree roots and mud puddles. Save your money and go to the actual national park. I wish we had.
Great way to enjoy rainforest!

Wonderful

Loved this adventure. A big shout out to wonderful guides Stephanie and Richard as we were all “fam” and Richard went above and beyond to help this mamma.
Amazing!

Went with some friends with Stephanie. Loved that it was a smaller group! Stephanie was so attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful on some slippery spots!! The rainforest was gorgeous and the waterfalls were so fun. Would absolutely recommend for anyone considering it. I recommend getting some cheap water shoes on Amazon and maybe a waterproof bag. Thank you Stephanie for an awesome experience!!
Best tour ever!

Paul and Enrique made sure that our tour went smoothly and was enjoyed by all of us! I am two months out from a hip replacement and they were so helpful to me at every turn!
Amazing Yunque experience.

Everything was amazing! Our tour guides Paul and Enrique took very good care of us. They made our experience unforgettable and super safe. We will never forget this trip.
Challenging hike, but worth it!
Berit_H, Mar 2024
Wow, an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Catherine, was wonderful and made sure everyone was okay. This is a difficult hike up and down muddy trails and slippery rocks, with some swimming through the river - be prepared to work hard and have so much fun!

Sophie_M, Mar 2024
Enrique was not incredibly supportive of people with different comfort zones and hiking capabilities. A guide should not be distracted and talking to others when members of his tour group are struggling to hike. He was patronizing, especially to younger women, and the van was dirty.
LOVE the mud!
Curtis_B, Mar 2024
Definitely the highlight of our trip! Catherine was an exceptional tour guide making sure everyone in our group was taken care of and having the best time! She took the best photos too! We are girl friends in our 60's and so happy to have accomplished this!
A great adventure!

Stephanie and Taina were our tour guides and they were really great! They were so helpful and explained things very well. It was a great experience. I will say this was a bit harder than I thought it was going to be. I should have read the reviews more carefully before traveling because I would have brought better footwear. I was happy though, that I read the reviews a day or two before the adventure. This was helpful because I was able to buy better sneakers with good traction at Marshall’s while in Puerto Rico. I was very happy we got these sneakers. They were good for climbing on the rocks. Loved the scenery, the natural waterslide, the jumping into the water from the on top of the rocks up high and from the rope. It’s a great time if you are prepared for this type of adventure.
Family adventure

Loved it! The hike, forest, waterfalls, water slide and river were beautiful! We had three kids 6-13 and all enjoyed it!
Good nature hike and water activities. Sweet and nice host.

Good nature hike and water activities. Sweet and nice host. Pickup was on time and all required information was provided. Life vests were also provided for water activities. Catherine also provided a list of nice recommendations for things to do in PR.
Fun muddy hike to the river
Danielle_L, Mar 2024
My friend and I had a blast! Our tour guide Taína was so friendly and helpful. We loved seeing the wildlife. Sadly the river current was too strong to safely slide, but cliff jumping and the hike up was worth it. I will say we weren’t prepared for how muddy it was. Wear shoes with good traction that you don’t mind being completely submerged in mud. Once at the river there is nowhere to set bags down, so pack what you can keep on you as you have to leave belongings in the van. This excursion was well worth the money, and I can’t wait to come back to do it again.
