Very fun day!!!
Wendy_D, Apr 2024
The El-Yunque rainforest excursion is very fun!! Pick up went smoothly. Our tour guide Juelz kept us informed about when he would arrive - he was great!! This excursion surprised me. It was very fun but I was surprised there were such unfit people on this when we were warned it was a moderate hike. Our tour guide had his hands full. Our tour guide was excellent at getting everyone out of their comfort zone and jumping from the cliffs and using the rock slide and rope swing. Just be aware there were some injuries and no one was surprised. You are climbing up slippery rocks, walking up and down mud that is slippery. It was quite the experience. I was with my daughter and we had a great day!! Notes- I wish I had brought a waterproof phone holder with neck strap. I would have loved more pictures. Definitely wear sneakers that you can swim in. A bathingsuit with shorts and t-shirt worked out great. Leave everything else on the bus. Don’t drink too much in the way there, no bathrooms. Bring water and a snack for the bus for afterwards. No bug spray or sunscreen- it hurts the rainforest and you don’t need it.
Awesome experience

Our guide ( Joel) was very helpful in telling us the do's/don'ts and background of the forest. He was very patient and took good care of us. We enjoyed relaxing in the river.
Great adventure but book a different tour guide

El Yunque is an absolutely beautiful area. Lots of tourist hiking and enjoying the water. However, I would avoid this specific tour. The tour guide team was late, the driver was on his phone for a significant portion of the drive, there was quite a bit of unprofessionalism with the other tour guide and overall just not a great experience with the guides.
Fun but would not repeat
Adrienne_G, Apr 2024
The experience was shorter than expected because they allocate pickup and drop off in the experience time - which accounts for 2 hours total. Guides were fantastic. This is not for those looking for a true hike as you will stop 6+ times during what should take 15 min. Fun experience, but would not do it again. I’d rent a car and DIY next time.
Great tour guide!

Great tour guide with lots of knowledge and fun! Gave us options without judgment (kids and dad did the higher jumps - momma here took the more chill approach!). We all loved this so much!
We had an excellent time...

Great Experience
Neffertee_R, Apr 2024
The experience was so much fun! A lot of climbing but worth it. Juelz and Eliu were great! They were so informative and knew a lot about El Yunque rainforest. They were friendly and fun! Once in a lifetime opportunity and they made it even better. One thing I liked was that they stayed in contact with us the morning of the tour by letting us know how far they were from our pick up location. They were organized and helpful with any tips we asked from them.  I am not the most physically fit person but I at least do cardio 1-2 times a week. And I am clumsy 🙂 by nature. So I wanted to give you a good idea of the intensity of the tour. I am 41 and around 180 lbs and it was a little difficult.  There were definitely tight squeezes and rock climbing involved. Not heavy rock climbing but to get to higher levels for the waterfall jump, picture a slippery jungle gym. There was a lot of mud on the day we went so that made it more slippery than usual. It had rained that morning and it rained during the tour. Still beautiful and fun. Cloudy day. No Sun. Just mentally prepare yourself for the elements. You are going to get muddy and wet.

The absolute BEST tour ! Our tour guides Stephanie and Taina were AMAZING, informative and super fun. I’d recommend this tour company to all.
Amazing experience, but not for the faint of heart
DammyA, Apr 2024
It unbelievable the beauty of El Yunque. All of the different watering holes and the difficulty of the terrain definitely added to the sense of adventure and exploration. I was shocked that there were no mosquitoes in our hike through the forest, especially because it had rained heavily the night before. I will say, that if you are not in above average physical shape or you don’t work out, you will have a difficult time on this hike and may even get injured. You will have to cross rivers with very aggressive rapids, climb up very muddy and slippery mountain with a rope, free climb a boulder, etc. So make sure you are in good physical shape if you want to sign up for this tour. The tour guides always put safety first and were very helpful and supportive and always showed you how to climb, jump, swim, etc to get through whatever the obstacles was, but that does not make it easy and they cannot carry you if you get injured.
Great experience

Eliu and Richard were very helpful with my son during the hike. It was an awesome experience that we couldn't have done without them.
el yunque owes me nothing!

Breathe taking
Sarah_D, Apr 2024
Our tour guide Eliu was wonderful. Best time is to go early as it gets crowded later in the day. Make sure to bring water!
The best EVERRR!!
Chelsea_R, Apr 2024
It was definitely our tour guide E he was amazing!! we had an amazing group I loved how it was a small group also, we went early before the huge crowds! it was definitely a more intense hike than I thought but at the end we felt accomplished and the support from he was amazing! We made more than just memories friends too!!!
WELL WORTH IT!!!
Natasha_T, Apr 2024
To start off, we had awesome guides. Stephanie and Taina were patient, attentive, and very helpful on both the trek up and back down. While imparting knowledge about the local flora, they made sure we were aware of any precautions to make sure we stayed safe. The scenery was amazing and the activity portion was highly enjoyable and relaxing. Although the path to the waterslide was a bit challenging, the experience was well worth it. Disclaimer: Do not wear white shoes or those that you would not want to get dirty. We give it a 5 all the way!!!

We had a fantastic trip with Julio! He was knowledgable, patient, and fun! We had a great time jumping off the cliff and doing the top swing. Unfortunately it was raining so we weren’t able to do the water slide but we appreciated Julio being honest with us and looking out for our safety! This was a fairly rigorous hike, so you need to be in decent shape to participate. I highly recommend- we had a fantastic time!
Great experience!

Catherine was a fantastic guide, friendly, warm, kept us safe and coached us through. She was super knowledgeable about the forest and plants along the way.
Rainforest adventure
Kathleen_J, Apr 2024
Our experience in El Yunque rain forest with Catherine as our guide was second to none. You can tell that Catherine enjoys what she's doing and that she enjoys being around people and people love being around. Throughout the experience, Catherine radiated positive energy. Positivity to our group, positivity to other tour guides, and positivity to strangers passing by. Catherine is a breath of fresh air to the environment around her. She was knowledgeable about the habitat, the vegetation, the terrain as well as the heartbeat of the forest. She was also keenly aware of the skill level and body language displayed throughout our hike. Catherine knew when each hiker needed assistance and gave encouragement and praise time and again. Our hiking and water slide experience was truly memorable not for the utter beauty of the wilderness, but for the positivity exemplified and cultivated during our journey. At the end many pictures were shared.
Fun with my 33 yo son.
Vicki_K, Apr 2024
Jewel was informative, charismatic and entertaining. The hike was slippery but not that difficult. Scaling over boulders to get to the waterfall was almost as much fun as the slide, cliff jump and rope swing.
