We had a great day. Our guide was knowledgeable, casual and comfortable in his approach, and very proud of his city. It was an enjoyable day and beautiful country.

Learn about Punta Arenas in a short visit.
Norma_A, Feb 2024
The tour is very well organized and reliable. You visit the most interesting parts of Punta Arenas in a few hours. Our tour guide, Luis, was very knowledgeable and professional. We learnt about the history of the town in a very entertaining and delightful way. Lots of anecdotes! We highly recommend this tour.

This trip is overpriced....
Pradeep_M, Apr 2023
This trip is overpriced. We were a family of 4 and visitor charged us $800. There are lot agency who do the same tour with lot less. Will never book via visitor.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
We sell this same regular and private tours Of course, if I wanted to pay less, I could have BOOKED THE TOURS REGULARL Instead of wanting to hurt with your comments

Wonderful Customer Service, Above & Beyond

Unfortunately the day of our planned excursion our cruise ship could not stop at the port due to bad weather. We were immediately issued a refund for which we were very grateful. I'd highly recommend you book with these folks if the opportunity arrives, I know I will!

Nice Day
Karen_G, Mar 2023
Really enjoyed the day and our visit to the fort with Nicolas and our excellent driver. Unfortunately due to my mobility problems, our city tour was cut short. We had already visited the city square on our own before meeting up with Nicolas. He did take us up to the Hill of the Cross and would have walked around there with us if my knee had cooperated. Only regret was not visiting the cemetery. We heard so much about it after we returned to the ship. Only other problem, some miscommunication about time for pickup but it all worked out ok.
Average Tour with Some Time Management Problems
Allyn_G, Feb 2023
Did the tour coming off a cruise ship. Overall the trip was okay. Price was much cheaper than the cruise line offered. Nicholas and David were very informative and spoke English well. The Fort and Museum were interesting. $10 USD admission/pp on arrival. We did not see the cemetery in the city as 8 out of 12 of passengers didn’t want to pay the $5 USD admission. The trip lasted under 5 hours. The negative to our tour was all three groups were told different times to show up. We were told 0830 and showed at 0815. Previous reviews stated groups were left behind so we didn’t want to have that happen so we were early. After checking in we were told to expect to leave at 0830. Didn’t Happen. Left at 0930. The other groups showed at 0915. One was told 1000. The other between 0830 and 1000. The tour operator should give passengers a correct and exact time to show up. Definitely not a “ range”. After experiencing a hour delay we left. At the museum we were told we had 20 minutes and be back on the bus at 1200-1205. We complied and got back on time, only to wait another 15 minutes for the group to arrive with the guide who said he had been looking for us. I said we followed his instructions and met at the bus on time. Again, poor communication regarding meeting times. The tour got us back well in advance of our departure time. If I did this trip again, I would hire a taxi ( many available at the port) who charge posted fixed rates ($40usd I think) for a Prius vehicle. Taxi may not have the full narration of a tour, but you can control your time and pay less. Research can be done online for the Fort and the museum signs are both English and Spanish. The city tour is mostly driving around to locale view points for photo ops.

Thank you for taking the time and commenting so much on the prices. We have this Regular and private tours. The tours that you take are regular with more people and the schedule that was given is from 08:30 to 10:00 am That day they went down at a different time, so a start and end time is given. If they all leave before 10:00, they still leave before 10:00, that's the maximum time. The same if you want a sixth hour book this private tours
For an hour we were...
Lev_I, Feb 2023
For an hour we were waiting for somebody to meet us at the port, but no one showed up. During this time we were trying to call the local provider, but couldn't reach them. After multiple attempts to resolve our situation, we were directed to a bus without an english speaking tour guide. We didn't receive the service we paid for. We demand the reimbursement for service not provided.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
I'm sorry for what happened to you but I don't know who you are because you didn't give your name, reservation number or tour date. In addition, refunds are requested from customer service where I bought the tours. We also do not use buses, only Sprinter. Try to contact customer service
Warning: unreliable
Karen_N, Feb 2023
They never showed up at our port and no one answered their phone when we tried to reach them. They are now refusing to refund the $200 we paid.

We loved it!

Francisco was such a fantastic guide! He knows so much history and obviously loves his city. He also let us take time where we wanted, like getting a snack at the Museum. Our ship was a bit late and communicating with the tour operator was easy and they moved the start time for us. The Fort and Museum were both fabulous as were the views. We saw dolphins while driving. We cut the city tour a bit short because we had pouring rain by that part, but that was our decision. Punta Arenas and the area around it is beautiful and we highly recommend this tour!
Magnificent Magellan

A great personal tour, highly recommend this company. We had done a cruise ship tour the day before with bus loads of people. This tour was just the two of us and Stefan and driver. Both were professional. Stefan’s English —he’s originally from Switzerland—was good. We went to the fort/museum, had a brief lunch, then back to the city. On the way back, we expressed an interest in stopping to photograph fishing boats and corrugated iron houses—a feature of this coast. They stopped several times. I can guarantee the buses could not do this. This trip was a lot less than the cruise ship’s. Win win
Great way to get to know Punta Arenas!
J_P, Feb 2023
Greatly appreciated the tour operator's efforts to ensure we had an English speaking guide and a private tour when the public one was not available. Francisco's commentary made the fort, the city square, the sheepherder's statue and the waterfront come alive with Punta Arenas history. Many thanks for an enjoyable half day tour.
A must do experience while in Punta Arenas

Punta arenas Fort and city
bjnashmd, Dec 2022
Unfortunately, it was cold and raining. It was a long trip to the fort without much in the way of scenery. It was a restored for not the original without much description. The view of the Magellan strait is very nice at the location. we then went to the cemetery, which was interesting, and drove around the city before returning to the port.
Response from Host, Dec 2022
Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that it was raining, but that is beyond our control.
Whistle-stop tour of Punta Arenas
keith_C, Mar 2020
Booked this trip independently of our ship Coral Princess with my wife and 4 friends, we visited Punta Arenas on February 29th 2020. The ship was slightly late in docking due to a late departure from Ushuaia the previous day as a result we later leaving the ship to meet our tour. We were met at the quayside by our tour guide and driver, we were just the six in a mini bus for the duration of the trip. Edmundo, our tour guide, explained that we would be travelling along the coast road to the national park, small museum and Fort Beule. The fee for the entrance to the park was not included in the cost of the tour. This turned out to be about $96 for the six of us. The ticket office accepts cards and a variety of currencies including US dollars. The journey to our first stop took around 30 to 45 minutes, we spotted dolphins and Eduardo told us there was a good chance to see whales as they were in the area at this time of the year. The journey was interesting looking at the variety in house styles, most built on stilts in small communities, along the road. Our first stop was at a cross roads prior to the national park, this was a way marker with distances to Buenos Aires and Antartica highlighted. Leaving the park ticket office we had a 10 to 15 minute ride to the museum and viewing spot. We parked at the entrance to the Fort area to take photographs on the way to the museum. Here Eduardo gave us a brief insight into the history of the area. The museum was small and , unfortunately, badly lit which made it almost impossible to read the information about Magellan and the exploration and settlement of the area. The lighting may have been for atmosphere or to protect exhibits but it rather spoiled our full enjoyment of the visit. There was an exhibit of the scientific developments in navigation which lead to European exploration. We had 30 minutes within the museum site and viewing area. We then moved on to the Fort itself along a short hilly dirt road. The Fort is a reproduction built on the site of the original settlement before the settlers moved to Punta Arenas as it could be better defended against the indigenous peoples, and was better for farming. The Fort was an interesting place with buildings made from timber and turf. Within one of the larger building was an interesting display about the settlement of Punta Arenas. The views across the channel were well worth the visit, we had around 30 to 40 minutes to explore the fort and take photographs of the views. There was a small incline on grass and unpaved pathways around the fort which may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Leaving the fort we retraced our journey back to the city of Punta Arenas, this took around 40 minutes. Our first stop in the city was the main square, surrounding the square are some of the important buildings of the town. Eduardo was excellent at pointing these out to us and took us across the square to see the former home of Sarah Braun an important early member of Punta Arenas society. Leaving the central square were taken to the town cemetery which is now a world heritage site. Within the cemetery we were shown the important Mausoleums of Punta Arenas important citizens. Being English we found this visit very strange but nonetheless interesting to learn about the culture of this area. Our final stop was five minutes from the cemetery by mini bus, we were taken to a viewing area high above the dock and main city area. This was a good viewing point giving a panorama of the city with it's many coloured houses. We were returned to the dock area in plenty of time to walk back to the ship before departure. All in all an interesting day with Eduardo ready to answer our questions. Final comment, there is no lunch with this trip, there was a small cafe in the museum but we did not really have time to have a coffee or snack.
Punta Arenas Overview
Mark_R, Jan 2020
We were greeted at the cruise port by our guide (Marlon) at the meeting point and at the designated time. Marlon was very friendly and informative on many aspects of the area and Chili and answered all of our questions. Being a private tour with a driver, Marlon was able to fully focus on us and the tour. We were able to visit many different sites and explore at our own pace. There were many opportunities for some incredible photos and Marlon would not hesitate to stop our car for any photos we wanted to take. Marlon gave us a full day visiting several interesting Punta Arenas sites besides the main purpose of the trip, the fort. A special thanks to Marlon for a fun day!
