What To Expect

Visit Saona Island and a natural swimming pool in one day on this day tour from Punta Cana. Enjoy a hassle-free day in paradise, with hotel transfers, lunch, snacks, and an open bar included.

Get picked up from your Punta Cana hotel in the morning and taken to Bayahibe to board a speedboat. On the way to Saona Island, stop at a natural swimming pool to admire the views and look for starfish.

At Saona Island, you’ll have around 3 hours to relax on the white sand beach, play in the clear waters, and explore the island. Refuel with the included buffet lunch and sip unlimited beer, rum, and soft drinks from the open bar.

On the return trip from Saona Island, enjoy a dance party with open bar on a catamaran. At the end of the tour, you’ll be dropped off back at your Punta Cana hotel.

Fantastic day with beautiful sights and water, great food, and newfound love for rum. Very nice and convenient that they picked up everyone from the hotels and brought them back as well. Everyone was nice and we had a great time.

All of the staff were excellent. The drivers, the boat operators, the food servers and our guide!! It is a long day, so plan accordingly. The beach was perfect and gorgeous. We loved this trip!!

Our tour guide Alex was very nice and gave an informative tour during the bus drive. The bus pick up was very punctual and I was able to maintain good communication with the staff members for instructions after booking. The food at Saona island was good also with many options of pork, chicken, and fish with rice and fruits for sides. There is also free beverages with the option to buy a pina colada in a pineapple for extra. The boat ride to the island was fun with the crew members, however, it takes long because you’re on a slow boat, so make sure you get good rest the night before because you will be in the sun all day. I would recommend this excursion to others that are visiting Punta Cana.

Saona island is beautiful. Benjamin and his group were so much. This was a long day but well worth it and I will do it again just to experience the beauty of the island.

Very organized excursion ! Staff was very helpful and gave details about what we were going to be doing throughout the day ! Our tour guide , Christian , was amazing ! Food buffet was very good. First we took a speedboat from Punta Cana then stopped in a natural swimming pool for about 40 minutes where pictures we were taken and there was an open bar. Then went to Saona Island which we were given about 2.5 hours to spend there ! Lastly we took a catamaran back towards Punta Cana ! Definitely recommend this excursion!

Overall, amazing experience. The only negative would be the transportation to and from the docks. To that point, I suppose it’s to be expected. The speedboat to the fresh pool was good. Gotta love the “pool bar” when you get there. The catamaran experience was great! Good music, plenty of run drinks. Saona Isle was amazing. Surf was a little tough but don’t let that deter. The staff and all the native love was amazing.

This trip was great! Even with a little bit of rain, both the catamaran and the speedboat showed the beautiful expanse of the Caribbean Ocean. For lunch, there were various food options and drinks were available all day (just rum and coke or rum and sprite -- note that the pina coladas are extra). This excursion was beautiful and relaxing -- would highly recommend!

I would say the experience at Samoa island was amazing. Great weather, met lots of different people, the food was great and music. The water was amazing and host of the boat was very entertaining. The only downfall for getting to and back on the excursion was the delays and traffic but other than that the day trip was great

Excellent experience and fun on the boat. Great hosts.feel this activity more for adults and not for families with kids. Dance moves get pretty intense after few drinks and difficult for kids to watch. Good BBQ at the Saona beach and overall we had a great time. Would definitely recommend

Doesn’t worth it ! You gonna pass the whole day (from 06:30 Am through 07:00 pm ) traveling in a Van and then in a crowded bus to be inside the island for 2 hours only ! The island is a regular island with nothing special ! The drinks are the cheapest one possible !

Two ways to view this. As a positive we were picked up and taken to the boat pick with a toilet stop on the way no problem. We were then transferred to the speedboat and taken to a bay where we could wade chest deep in the beautiful azure waters. We then carried on to Saona island and walked through the palm tree lined beach to our picnic site on the lovely beach. Food was great and bar was great. We spent two hours after relaxing on the beach. Lovely. From a negative we were picked up early by mini bus, transferred to a coach, stopped halfway to be offered trinkets and souvenirs and the use of toilets. We arrived at the boat pick up point with hundreds of others waiting for their boats. Stopped at the bay where everyone gets offered as much rum as they want and photos are taken in the beautiful clear waters. At Soana we are taken off via a rocky beach which can be tricky if your unsteady on your feet. We were given plenty to eat and more rum to drink if you wanted it. Food was good on the beach in a site that is purpose built for this use. You are advised to get towels onto the closely packed sun beds on the beach as others are soon arriving. The beach is amazing, the sand as soft as a pillow and water a beautiful azure blue but it full of people and the peace is shattered by banging music. After two hours we’re put back on the catamaran for the trip back. An hour and a half slow ride while being offered more rum and encouraged to dance and party to more banging music. And of course it gives them the chance to sell the photos and a very high cost. Over £100 in my case but I did bid them down. Still pricey though. By the time we arrive back for the coach some people have had a bit too much rum, not great safety measures on a wet slippery boat. We then began the journey home by coach and minibus after rounding up one or two rum drinkers. Overall it was a 12 hour day, 4 and a half hours there and then back for a 3 hour stay on the island. The crew were great and the photos are brilliant. Highlight was seeing turtles swimming not far from us but most other people were more interested in the rum and partying.

This was a beautiful experience! We got picked up at our hotel on time and taken to Bayahibe. We made all the stops we needed to and Saona Island was beautiful! They take your pictures too but they’re quite pricey. Eduardo was our guide and he was amazinggggg and made sure that all of us were taken care of.

Caribbean water was spectacular! It was a long bus ride and boat ride. Party boat with free-flowing rum and some questionable behavior. The door-to-door trip took 12 hours. Lunch was good and stops were too.
