What To Expect
Your day begins at Los Suenos Marina, where you’ll board a 55-foot (17-meter) catamaran. The boat’s multiple seating options means you can stay cool in an air-conditioned cabin or stretch out on the breezy deck to sunbathe. No need to eat before departure: A light breakfast is served during the scenic cruise to Tortuga Island.
The catamaran’s shallow draft means the crew can navigate right to the shore, so you can walk straight onto the beach. Enjoy the day on Tortuga Island at your own pace—hike, take a banana boat ride, or use provided snorkeling gear to explore the undersea world right off the beach.
Water, coffee, and soft drinks are served throughout the day, and you’ll have time to savor a provided lunch plus rum punch and margaritas. This tour concludes with a beautiful return cruise to the marina.

I recommend the Costa Cat excursion! The 45-60 min boat ride is beautiful. Upon arriving on the island we selected seats, grabbed a drink, and got a lay of the land. We then did the optional snorkel trip, which was honestly a bit disappointing but still fun. We saw a few types of colorful fish but there was no reef and no turtles, dolphins, sharks, or octopus. I imagine we would need a reef location to see these (other than the dolphins). We then arrived back to the island to hang for a bit before a fun banana boat ride and lunch. Then we had a final hour to do a hike with beautiful overlooks. Mario and the staff were great the whole day, very helpful and friendly.

My family and I had an unforgettable experience on this tour! It was a perfect combination of discovering the vibrant Tortuga Island mixed with fun activities, great food and an open bar
Our tour guides were the best; we were very well taken care of! BRING WATER SHOES! The beach is beautiful, but the rocks in the water could ruin your experience if you’re not prepared.
The entire tour felt relaxed yet engaging, and we came away with a deeper appreciation for the island.
I highly recommend this tour. You won’t be disappointed!

Best boating experience I’ve ever had. Absolutely gorgeous island. The staff are so friendly and very knowledgeable of the island and its surroundings. The food the chef prepares for you is top tier. They have a bunch of activities to do and a beautiful scenic hiking trail to end the day. I will say the hike was steep and rocky but manageable. Overall a fantastic experience.

This tour was one of the best tours I have ever attended. Tortuga Island is beautiful, they had snorkeling, hiking, banana boat ride. The food they provided for lunch was so good. But my favorite part of this trip was the crew members. They are just the best, they were very hardworking, made sure we were all okay. They kept the facilities clean at all times. They ensured we felt safe and well taken care of. It made me fall in love more with the country Costa Rica.

Our experience with Costa Cat was wonderful. The staff were very dedicated to the comfort and entertainment of the travelers. All the accommodations were clean and the food was excellent. You may be able to find a cheaper island trip but you’ll never find a better one. Don’t waste time with anybody but Costa Cat.

Our trip to Coata Rica was to make family memories. Costa Cat helped us make them so memorable. From the moment we entered the Cat to the end was without a glitch. The seas out to Tortuga Island were rough. From the moment we stepped foot on the island the staff was very professional catering to all of our desires and needs. The food was very fresh. The tables were even decorated with fresh flowers. Drinks and food was plentiful. Water activities from snorkeling to paddle boarding was great. From the Costa Cat to the island everything was very clean. I really appreciated the authentic Costa Rican lunch that was served , From the fruits and muffin served the moment we boarded the Cat to all foods on island. Staff helped everyone have a great time.
