Brightened up a rainy day in Quito

Patio was the best guide we could have hoped for- while it was a rainy day we had a delightful time: great touring, informative information on history, architecture and culture and had a great tasting of local fruits and chocolate besides the great lunch spot. Would highly recommend.

A fantastic tour of Quito and the middle of the world

A massive thanks to our wonderful guide Jossua. We had an amazing time. We started with a really interesting tour of the market in Quito, where we got to see all of the amazing fruits and vegetables that grow in Ecuador (and we also sampled a fair view of them as well!). We then went to the Teleferico and our guide gave us a very detailed explanation on the volcanoes, the landscape, and all of the flora and fauna. A highlight was the middle of the world demonstration where we got to do lots of cool different tasks which demonstrated the differences of being in the middle of the world versus being north or south. We also learnt about the shrunken head tribe and the Amazon... Next, our guide took us to a great restaurant where we had some of the nicest food that we had in Quito. Finally we had a tour around the city looking at some of the buildings and churches that are important in the history of Ecuador. Overall, it was a fantastic trip that was made much better by having a wonderful guidr who had so much information and spoke better English then I do!! Thanks Jossua, I hope you enjoyed your trip to Brazil!

Good trip but expensive

The guide was lovely and so were the places. Unfortunately I felt it was a bit expensive for a day trip especially since we paid for all the entry fees. We did not want a mini bus. The driver was lovely and our guide was very very good but I think the price could have been much lesser. I appreciate the request for a late start and am grateful .

This tour was fantastic. My son and I only had one day in Quito and this tour hit all the highlights. Pickup and drop off at our hotel was very smooth. Our guide, Galindo, was great. He did a wonderful job explaining the different ecosystems, history, and culture of each stop on the tour. I would highly recommend both this tour and Galindo to anyone looking for a great tour of Quito.

The superb tour guide

The tour was an excellent way to explore Quito with important sights put together in one day tour. During the tour we visited the Inti Nan museum at thr Equator line, had a cable car ride to one of the vulcanos and a really interesting walk trough the historical centre to visit several sights. What really makes a difference when it comes to guided tours, is of course the guide. My guide, Kathy, was outstanding. With superb knowledge of the places we visited as well as knowledge of anything you would like to know about flora and fauna, or the history, culture and politics of Ecuador. Highly recommended.

Fun and insightful day in Quito

Pato took us on a fantastic adventure around Quito. We started with fresh fruit tasting in a local market, visited the Teleferico and the basilica for amazing views, ate a delicious lunch in the old town and had a fun time at the center of the world in Intiñan. Pato knew exactly where the best photo opps would be, but he also was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the city. We had an overall amazing day and would recommend the visit!

This tour was amazing! A great overview of Quito with an outstanding tour guide: Kathy! In the tour, we have the opportunity to visit the highlights of the city, such as the "Mercado Santa Clara", in which I was able to taste delicious local fruits, the churches (Basilica del Voto Nacional to me was the most amazing, as I have never seen a neo-gothic church in South America before)! I highly recommend this tour to everyone who is in Quito. It is sure a a whole day of adventure and of learning about Ecuatorian Culture! Kathy made this tour so great, that I felt I was travelling alongside with a friend, who was showing me the favorites spots of Quito!

The cathedrals were amazingly beautiful with each one unique to itself! The city center was like going back in time. Lunch at Lavid Restaurant was a gourmet experience. Our Yumbo's chocolate tasting made Ecuador treats my new favorite! The Intiñan Museum taught us so much about the equator in such a fun way! Our tour guide, Kathy, did an incredible job with all her knowledge and energy! I had an idea of what items I wanted to see and she put together a fanulous day that our whole family loved.

Experienced Quito Native gives us a great tour of the city

I had difficulty with altitude sickness and did not want to go up to higher elevation with the cable car. Pato was quick to modify the tour to fit our needs. From the moment we met, it was like we were best friends. Every question we had, Pato could offer informed and knowledgeable information. For example, when I asked if he could tell us about the geology of the area, he said of course, went off the trail and selected 3 stones. From these stones, Pato gave interesting information that increased our understanding of the Andes mountains. Pato is a native to Quito, and this made the experience all that much better.
