We pick up from all hotels/guesthouses/apartments/ports in Reykjavik. Due to local regulations, certain hotels/guesthouses/apartments do not allow for lobby pick-up. Guests will have to go to the nearest bus stop for the pick-up. Please note that pick-up starts 90 minutes before ticket time. For Reykjavik pick-ups from the hotel or nearest bus stop, you will be picked up with a minibus and transferred to the Bus Terminal to join a coach bus that will take you to the Lagoon. You will be dropped off at Blue Lagoon. The same procedure is applied for the return to Reykjavik. Please kindly note that pick-up from Keflavik International Airport starting from the 1st of June 2022 is only available at 07:30, 09:30, 12:30, and 16:30. Also, pick-up from Blue Lagoon to Keflavik International Airport starting from the 1st of June 2022 is only available at 12:00, 14:30, and 16:00. For the Hotels and accommodations located in Keflavik Town, the pick-up will be made from Keflavik Airport only. Transportation from your accommodation in Keflavik town to Keflavik Airport is not included. The minimum age for using the Blue Lagoon is two years old. This is because children younger than two are highly sensitive to the water's elevated mineral content. Children aged 8 and younger must wear floaties. These are available at the entrance to the lagoon and can be used free of charge. Children under 2 are welcome in the facility but the parent has to take turns sitting with the child outside of the water.

We advise you to not bring jewlery in the lagoon as it might get damaged from the elevated mineral content.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The whole trip was well organised. Blue Lagoon was a fabulous experience so relaxing. When we got back to the coach station, the mini bus was full, which left us without a ride. The mark of a company is how they deal with problems. Within 5 minutes we were on our own mini bus straight to our hotel. Staff and drivers were very friendly and helpful. Definitely would book with them again.

The pool had been closed because of the fisher that had opened up near by. Luckily it opened up while we were visiting. Very expensive but an amazing experience The pool geothermal pool was really warm . Plenty of facilities, showers and toilets etc.

The Blue Lagoon. However they charged me for my drink. I only had 1 glass of wine which I got in my premium package.

Thank you for your feedback! The charge for the one complimentary drink should definitely not be extra. It is always included and never happened before to charge any of our guests. Is there any possibility you requested for 2 drinks on only one wristband (instead of separate wristbands)? Very pleased with my trip to the Blue Lagoon. Pick up transfer ran smoothly.There was little glitch on the return transfer when we arrived at the Bus Terminal there didn't appear to be a bus to deliver some of us to the Bus Stops in downtown Reykjavik. A driver of another mini-bus stepped up and added a number of us to his drop off list. Not sure who was at fault but it was quickly resolved. I will use Viator again in my future travels.

The masks are a nice thing to do. I really think they should be done out of the water because I found it very dirty at the bottom of the floor when walking you could feel rocks it was dirty. The place is quite large enough room for a lots of people spacious .you can have a drink which is nice, showers and accommodation is very nice inside.

Marina Travel stood us up

Marina Travel operator is the worse. They stood us up twice in the same day. They never showed up and left us waiting for 4 hours with two other couples at the terminal. We scouted all the parking lot looking for them and they were never around. All the other operators arrived at the terminal with no issues. Now Viator is not giving my money back as the operator lies about being there twice which never happened. Flew all the way from Mexico for this and unfortunately we were not able to visit the blue lagoon because of this lying operator.

We have even rescheduled your transfer for the next available slot to give you an extra opportunity to join this tour. The indications included an exact Google Maps link location and a detailed description. The bus was there both times and picked up more than 20 other passengers (we have provided a GPS record of the bus as proof). Unfortunately, we can't be responsible for customers not following the indications or not calling us in case they need assistance. We are looking forward to welcoming you back anytime in the future!

Over-rated

When we got to the Blue Lagoon, there were 2 lines - one for those who had checked in already and one for those that still needed to check in. The Blue Lagoon took all the former first before taking the latter. We were never advised that we should check in in advance, nor were we provided with the information to do so. Thus, we waited 15 -20 minutes. We spent 20 minutes once at the check-in sorting out our reservation, which Blue Lagoon said had been cancelled and not paid for, despite having been charged on my credit card and the confirmation we had from Viator's sub-contractor, Marina Travel, that we would be picked up in Reykjavik and had confirmed entrance for 2. Once the Blue Lagoon staff finally decided to let us in after speaking with Marina Travel, both sales departments, we were very disappointed. It was crowded and very commercial. The Blue Lagoon itself is lovely but definitely not worth the price we paid. To add insult to injury, we had to fight our way onto the return bus, as apparently we weren't on the driver's manifest, despite having been brought to the Blue Lagoon by the same bus company.

We understand how this caused you discomfort and hopefully, this will not happen again in the future. Regarding the 2 lines: one is for individual bookings (under 9 people/booking) and the other is for Group bookings (more than 9 people/booking), they are still checking in, just that the check-in for groups has a different procedure and different entry slots available compared to the individual ones. The flexible nature of the return transfer makes it impossible for the driver to have the up-to-date passenger list, but they will still pick up everyone who is ready for pick-up at the bus stop. Hope you got to enjoy Blue Lagoon's facilities. Hope to see you again!

Lagoon was great. Transfers were terrible

The instructions provided for pickup were incorrect. When the time for pickup passed we called and were rescheduled to a later time and told it would be either a green or white van. When we still didn’t see the van I called again. While I was being told a green van was two minutes out my husband asked the driver of an orange airport shuttle if he was our driver. He had printed confirmation with our name. Had my husband not been asking everyone we would have missed it completely. As is our visit was cut short and we feel cheated. We are going to London next year and need to book tours and transfers. Not sure about using Viator again.

Upon further checking, we can see that we have no record of you calling us on the booking day, and we never mentioned in the confirmation email about the color of the transportation but advised that: "as there are many buses passing through, please make sure you keep an eye on the bus that either has “Destination Blue Lagoon” written on it or a “Blue Lagoon” note on the windshield or simply ask the drivers of the direction they are going." We do understand the natural confusion that comes with being in a new destination, but we are always happy to assist our guests in case of need. Hope you enjoyed your time at the lagoon!

Journey to Blue Lagoon

We loved the Blue Lagoon experience. Only downfall was the getting there and back was not well explained. We didn't realize the van pick up was between a half hour time frame. We also didn't realize that the transfer wasn't direct. We were driven to a bus terminal where we had to transfer to another bus to the Blue Lagoon. However, the company was great with being there when I called to ask for more details. I wasn't sure what type of bus/transportation we were looking for at the bus station. They did call me back with some answers. Also, great communication prior to the excursion. I asked if we could be picked up earlier and they made it happen.

Marina Travel - terrible tour operator.

The Blue Lagoon was awesome. The way they handled everything at the lagoon was top notch. The transfer portion of this tour was terrible. “Marina Travel” provided the tour - they were terrible. The description for where to pick up the bus was not useful - they said “glass bldg with a large post with a bus picture on it”. There were dozens of such matching descriptions spread over a thousand yards of the port. We (as well as many others we met) were circling around the port trying to find the proper bus. One group we met were suppose to be on an earlier bus than ours and the bus left (with 14 travelers abandoned). Finally, upon return from the lagoon, the bus stops at a transfer station and they kick us off to go board another bus which then spent 40 mins winding through town. What should be a 40 min trip took 90 mins. Overall, avoid Marina Travel. Find a better operator, this was a joke.

Drivers don’t point out...

Drivers don’t point out anything. It was transportation only. Weird stop at gas station snd waited in parking lot for about 15 minutes without explanation. A girl finally boarded and again, it was just odd. Drivers should speak about notable building snd a little history.

With us - Marina Travel, you booked only the Blue Lagoon admission including transfer, and clearly the transportation part of the package is a shuttle bus transfer to and from Blue Lagoon. This tour is not advertised to include guidance, hence the bus driver will not inform you about the sights passing by on the way to or from Blue Lagoon. He will just stop for pick-ups and drop-offs at the bus stops. Hope this clears out any confusion regarding the nature of the service. Thank you for visiting Iceland!
