What To Expect

Begin your full-day tour with pickup from your hotel in the Reykjavik area between 8:30am and 9am. Meet your guide and small group, and settle inside your comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.

Then, set out into Iceland’s stark countryside on your tour. On route, listen to intriguing facts about the country, hearing about its history, geology, and culture from your guide.

Head into UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, one of Iceland’s famous Golden Circle sights. Learn how it lies within a belt of volcanic activity, and is home to the mid-Atlantic ridge, where the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia face each other over a valley. Walk between the plates as you hear how they are gradually moving further apart, and savor the experience of straddling the two continents.

Take a detour from the Golden Circle to visit the Kerid (Kerið) crater, a 3,000-year-old crater filled with a lake. Peer into the 180-foot (55-meter) deep hollow, and admire the magical-looking blue lake cradled by the red- and green-colored slopes.

Visit the Geysir geothermal area, exploring the surreal-looking landscapes on foot. View the bubbling ponds and steam vents, and see the Geysir and Strokkur geysers, the latter shooting water up to 98 feet (30 meters) every five to 10 minutes.

Stop at the Gulfoss Waterfall, taking in this beautiful 105-foot (32-meter) fall, and then continue to your choice of geothermal lagoon (own expense). Choose from the iconic Blue Lagoon, the serene Sky Lagoon, or the enchanting Hvammsvík Hot Spring

Head inside (own expense, with pre-booking of your admission ticket required) and change into your bathing suit. Then, enjoy a long soak in the warm, therapeutic waters, lying back in the steam and admiring the lava fields as you bathe.

After about two hours here, your tour finishes with a hotel drop-off in Reykjavik.

Our guide Christina was amazing!! What I loved was the message she sent the night before with very specific details about pick up. She included the first three letters of the licence plate which really helped as there are many tour buses picking up people from various stops. That info helped distinguish our bus from others. We were pleasantly surprised with two surprise stops (ice cream and greenhouse) which made the tour feel special! Christina is a wealth of information and joy and it is exemplified in all that she does. She talks you through all the sights and I was so thankful as it satisfied my curiousity. We ended the day at the Hvammsvik Hot Springs! Outstanding and by far the best thermal pool experience one could ask for!

Faultless!

Incredible tour, Siddi our guide was brilliant. All our passengers were prompt to return and so we enjoyed some extra treats along the way including feeding Icelandic horses and ice cream right next to the cows that made the milk. It was my daughters 21st Birthday and the day couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you to Siddi for an outstanding tour
The best tour we had all holiday!

We could not recommend this more highly. Everything from start to finish was exactly what we’d expect from a tour. Vlad was awesome and taught us so much along the way whilst making a long trip enjoyable (he also put up with our sense of humour extremely well) The last stop at the Sky Lagoon was incredible and such a great way to end an amazing day!
Amazing tour

The tour was amazing, the sights, scenery and commentary from our tour guide Pawel/Paul was what made the day memorable and enjoyable. Due to the recent eruptions the Blue Lagoon was closed so instead we were able to visit the Sky Lagoon which was by far the highlight of our whole trip. I would highly recommend this tour as you really do get to see the beauty of Iceland and if you’re lucky, experience the different weather conditions throughout the day. Hats off to Pawel/Paul as you made the trip a great experience.
Best day ever!

This tour was from 8:30am-7:30/8ish pm (including pickup and drop off times) with plenty of bathroom breaks and snack breaks. There is wifi on the bus which comes in handy during the longer routes to each destination. Our tour guide (I think his name was Oli) was extremely intelligent and friendly. He was also very patient with everyone. You may have to check with your tour guide ahead of time if the Blue Lagoon is safe to go to because the day before my tour, there was an emergency evacuation due to a possible eruption (it was a false alarm though). If the tour operator has to cancel this event, they have plenty of alternatives for you to see and do. Before entering the Blue Lagoon, you have to take a shower with their special soap/shampoo/ conditioner while you’re there. They also have towels and hair dryers available for you, just bring a swimsuit and a hair tie (our tour guide suggested not putting your hair in the water too much). It is extremely cold in Iceland, be sure to bring your winter gear and be prepared to be outside for more than half of the day for this tour! I also think the tour is cheaper than renting a car or even getting a taxi to each location, it’s super convenient to book a tour! Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it to other travelers!
Amazing comprehensive tour - highly recommended
Shruti_M, Feb 2024
Really enjoyed this tour and it was expensive but felt worth the money. We opted for going to the hot springs. The guide was great (although a little hard to hear in the back of the bus). We had a good amount of time to see all the spots, were provided cramp ons (which was super helpful). Besides the main stops, we also made short stops to see and feed Icelandic horses, and to have ice cream which added a nice touch. Everything was already ready for us when we reached the springs and the 2 hours at the end of the day seemed enough to unwind and relax after a kind day of touring. All in all, we really loved this tour. I would highly recommend it.
Long day
Julie_m, Feb 2024
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the sites however felt it was a very long day and too much packed into it. The driver was driving far too fast which also ruined my day. Don’t get me wrong he was very knowledgable and easy to listen to. But the drive itself was rather scary
Super fun day!

Absolutely incredible! Bus driver was super funny, always helpful, really responsive online with all my questions. Golden circle was closed due to volcanic activity but they've offered plenty of alternatives to compensate for that.
Above and Beyond

Loved the tour and our guide Colin, he is a great storyteller as well as a kind person. He went out of his way for a couple of the passengers, love seeing this type of customer service!!! Thank you so much for a great tour
had a good day, beautiful...
Manon_C, Feb 2024
had a good day, beautiful places although a bit busy, sky lagoon was absolutely incredible! i did both the sky and blue lagoon and although blue lagoon is undeniably beautiful, if you have to choose i would recommend sky lagoon! :)
Great way to see the Iconic sights of Iceland.
Julia_M, Jan 2024
brilliant day with great tour guide went to so many iconic places and ended with the Blue lagoon. What a way to see Iceland!
amazing, even in bad winter weather
Timothy_S, Jan 2024
Ingo was a gutsy driver in bad snowy weather, very knowledgeable, and a great advocate of nature and philosophy of life and adventure..,
Fantastic day tour
Nicholas_H, Jan 2024
This was a fantastic day tour that included many memorable stops. Our tour guide, Gulli, was very friendly and gave us multiple insights into Iceland from his experiences of living there. The stops at Þhingvellir, Gulfoss, Kerið and the Blue Lagoon were timed to perfection; the stop at Geysir unfortunately felt a little rushed, but this was likely due to members of the group returning late at earlier stops. Overall, an unforgettable experience!

The restaurant and the geysers do a nice fish and chips and lamb soup. Best part was definitely the hot spring at the end. Never felt more relaxed in my life. Addi, our tour guide was very cheerful and friendly. 10/10

Sophia_J, Jan 2024
Great experience with Addi. Great tour guide. Your lasted 830-8, but so worth it just a long day . He took us everywhere listed and extra 2-3 stops of horses , cows, and fresh ice cream. Good experience, definitely one of a kind. Hvammstik has 8 diff thermal pools and great facility there.

I enjoyed the tour so much with amazing views everywhere. The tour guide Addi was friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this tour .
Beautiful place to enjoy
Yan_G, Jan 2024
It’s a beautiful and relaxing place to visit, and it’s a remarkable experience. However, there is an area where you pick up the towels which is quite slippery, I recommend that you put down some non-slip mat on the floor . That would be perfect. Thanks .
Amazing experience
Linn_M, Jan 2024
