Overview

Summit both Corcovado and Sugar Loaf mountains in the early morning to beat the crowds on this half-day tour in Rio de Janeiro. After bright and early pickup from your Rio hotel, travel through the Tijuca National Forest to get up close with the Christ the Redeemer statue without throngs of people around. After learning about its history from your local guide, move on to Sugar Loaf Mountain for spectacular views of the sprawling city, slowly waking up in the morning light.

Pickup details

Pickup starts 30min before the tour. For the morning tour it will be between 7:00am and 7:30am, for the afternoon tour it will be between 1:30pm and 2:00pm, depending on traffic. Each hotel have a specific timing according to the it's location. Please contact us for the exact time. Important: for operational reasons our pickup happens only in selected hotels in the neighborhood of Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema and Leblon. If your hotel is not in the list, also please contact us so we will help you finding the nearest pick-up point.

We had an amazing tour! We didn’t have a lot of time in Rio and this was a really good choice, especially because our guide Matilda was a lot of fun and super knowledgeable, she made everything a hundred times better! Our driver Waldemar was also really good, I couldn’t imagine driving through such narrow roads so well

Really good tour, excellent tour guide, knew lots of history, made the trip very enjoyable. Christ the Redeemer was the highlight for us, and the tour guide took time to take our photo with the statue behind us. Doing the morning trip was a good choice. Not too crowded and cool enough to cope with. We also enjoyed the trip up to Sugar Loaf Mountain. Well worth getting all the tickets included in the price. Would really recommend, great to have a hotel pick up.

Highly recommended this tour. We were able to see the 2 famous landmark of Rio in half day. We had enough time at each place to explore and for pictures. Wilcelio is knowledgeable, fun and excellent tour guide. We were lucky to have him as our guide.

Sabine was our guide and she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and punctual. With a flight back in the afternoon we only had the morning available but it was perfect.

We had a wonderful time. The guide was excellent and very professional as well as informative. Christ The Redeemer was beautiful, awe inspiring. The cable car to the top of sugar loaf mountain was brilliant. I took some amazing pictures of Christ The Redeemer at night.

Overall very interesting tour. Great driver and narration. We began the group with 12 people. At least six left the group early. The time at Sugarloaf mountain was extended for an additional hour or so without letting us know in advance. My husband and I waited in the shop area while the group of 6 went to the top. We waited there for over an hour before getting frustrated and catching a taxi back to the hotel at our expense. Had our guide let us know they would be gone for an hour we would have left with the other two couples who had left early. We missed dinner reservation as a result of this.

After the scenery, the best part of our trip was our tour guide. Guia Aline Gomes was exceptionally good. She answered every single question from every person on the tour. She also went out of her way and called a Brazilian steakhouse for our dinner reservations. Fantastic!

Had a great experience overall on this tour. We were picked up on time and rode comfortably throughout the tour in an air-conditioned van to each destination . Our tour guide Kiko was very knowledgeable about the history and landmarks of Brazil , as he took the time to explain about things we were passing by on the way to each destination. The Christ the redeemer and sugar loaf mountain experiences were also great with adequate time at each location to explore and enjoy the views and take pictures. After it was all over we headed back to our hotel right on time at 12 noon as expected. Would definitely recommend , great tour for the money spent.

This is a great tour, even though it was a little rainy and very cloudy and foggy. I have a slight fear of heights but I enjoyed riding on the cable cars. I would consider doing this tour again because I'm sure it would even be better on a nice day. Shout out to our tour guide Kiko!

Meilin was a fantastic, very knowledgeable and passionate guide. From a very punctual pick up at the hotel, to a deep drive into the city’s background and history to an overall well organized short tour, this experience was a delightful one. Even her attention to detail such as scenic photographic areas for pictures and using the quickest routes to avoid the crowds were well appreciated.
