An excellent tour packed with highlights. It started with Christ the Redeemer followed by Sugar Loaf mountain then an excellent lunch. This was followed by the city sites including the Lapa Aqueduct and the Seleron Steps. Our guide, Victoria, was fantastic.

This was an excellent tour and well worth the price. The tour was well organised and covered the main sights. We had a good amount of time at each sight and our guide Victoria was amazing! She was pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our pick up and drop off were efficient and the lunch was excellent too. I would fully recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro.

Excellent Full Day Tour of Rio

We did this tour on 20 February and would highly recommend it to everyone visiting Rio. It covered the city's most important sights just as described in the tour overview on this website. We were picked up in front of our hotel in Copacabana area at 7:20 am and were dropped back around 4:30 pm. Our guide Meilin was very kind, friendly and helpful throughout the tour. Not only she explained the history of the city and all the places we visited in great details in fluent English (she speaks other languages fluently as well), she also frequently offered to take pictures of me and my wife at the different sites, which we appreciated a lot. Thank you Meilin! It was a truly unforgettable experience for both of us.

We were scheduled for this day-long trip, and my wife had severely twisted her ankle 2 days earlier at GIG airport, so we weren't sure whether to go through with it or not. However, I'm glad we did --- our guide, Kitko, was empathetic and also an excellent guide. Then, during the tour, to complicate things, my wife felt faint (between the heat and her slow, painful limp), during our walk up to Christ the Redeemer. Kitko immediately got her help (a staff nurse from the park assisted her in getting to an air-conditioned office, where she rested and rehydrated. ) We delayed our entire group's schedule, but Kitko never made us feel like we were a problem. A great guy, he juggled the rest of the group and us, and the day went as well as it possibly could, under the circumstances! We've used Viator a lot, and will absolutely continue to do so, with an experience like this!
Expensive chauffeur service, NOT informative tour

The trip was essentially an organized transportation between listed locations and nothing more. I expected to get history of city, neighborhoods and locations we drove through. That didn't happen and toueguide didn't know it. She had a short script about each of the planned visits and little more. This was really disappointing. At end of day I knew little more about Rio than when it started, other than to visit the listed locations. Also I'd note we did the trip including "tickets" but there were only 2 paid entrances, the rest of the locations were free. So no real value there, in my opinion. I feel cheated. This was expensive for a chauffer to drive us to important tourist sights. And I gave up a whole day of my trip to know nothing about Rio or Brazilian history in general.

This was a great tour! Our tour guide Peter was phenomenal! He was informative, interactive, patient, and fun. You will get to see all of the top attractions and sights Rio has to offer. If you are a foodie, you will love the lovely cuisine at the Brazilian steakhouse but words to the wise, make sure you have an empty stomach because there's a lot to take in.

Sabina was an awesome guide for us. Very knowledgeable of the area and spoke English well. During the whole day she had great energy and fun to be around. Our last week here, I wanted to fit quite a few things in one day and so glad I chose this tour. For this I would recommend if you only have a week to spend here. The most busy attractions were done first (Cristo Rendentor and Pao de Acucar) in order to have the best experience before more people started filling in. It was a very relaxed tour and would definitively recommend the Churrascaria for the add-on meal. Thank you much Sabina, Matt

The best part of our tour was our guide Renato he was so knowledgeable and patient. He helped me with my kids spoke very good English. He gave just the right amount of history and also details only locals would know. We were able to accomplish all the events planned in our tour and that is considering that it was a busy day. The entire day was amazing. We were greeted by our tour guide, Pedro Cipiniuk (CariocaTours). Our group was a perfect size of 9 and all the sights we visited was Fabulous. We chose the All day tour, with lunch included( Fogo de Chau) all you can eat lunch was on point. highly recommend it and I also highly recommend booking Carioca Tours. Had a wonderful guide in Monica. Even though it was a small group tour, there were 3 languages she needed to navigate and she did it very well. Christ the Redeemer was my highlight. It was first on our tour so we avoided the very large crowds. This tour provided us with all the main highlights of Rio.
