the whole day was unfortunately grey and rainy, so not due to the supplier here. But because there is a but, she was not taking care of the group. She always on her phone corresponding to whoever. At a moment on Corcovado I went t an opposite direction to look at something, but she didn't pay attention and kept moving forward without me. Hopefully, with a little bit of situational intelligence I join the group back on the other side of the site. But just imagine the stress at this moment.... Morevover, she didn't afford to stay with us for lunch and move to another table alone !!!! And we had to pay beverages on top of what we paid already for the day. Not recommended again

This was my first time in Brazil, the only city I visited was Rio de Janeiro. I was very pleased with the tour, they picked me up right on time. Sabina is such a lovely tour guide, explains everything with patience and warmth. The driver, André, is also very helpful. The only thing I would recommend is that they have wifi inside the van.

This tour is a scam !

Dont go ! This tour is literally a scam ! Here is what you get (or rather don’t get): 1. Although we paid the premium price of USD 80 per person - which places this tour at twice the price point of most competitors - the fine print made a vague note that « tickets » are not included which turned out to be code for « admission tickets « not being included. Obviously, no one goes on a tour not wishing to access the sites of the tour. Hence, the aim of this fine print is solely to trick you into overlooking it and afterwards pay more. Cute ! Needless to say, mild mayhem broke out when people were asked to get their credit cards out at the first stop; 2. Don’t expect the tour guide to actually guide you. Our tour guide made it a point to be as inconspicuous as possible. Dressed in grey and white without even a hint of color, it was a real challenge to keep track of him through the crowds. While other guides of competing tours marked themselves out with a handheld flag, our guy was literally invisible. To complete the travesty, he insisted on speaking in a near-to-whisper conversational volume eventhough we were in the midst of large crowds with a lot of ambient noise. Perhaps, worst, he did not provide any narrative to the sites unless you proactively asked him. Even when driving between the sites he would offer no narrative. He’d merely converse with the driver. My family and I decided to leave the tour before lunch break giving us a few hours of our lives back. Others from the group did the same. What you get from this this tour is fundamentally a minibus transport to the sites. Nothing more nothing less. A taxi can deliver the same at a fraction of the price.

Hello Dear Asbjorn, We are truly sorry to hear you had a bad experience during our tour. Before answer your direct comment, I will need to state the during the months of December through March, summer time in Brazil and high season in Rio de Janeiro, the city gets really packed. Unfortunately even organizing ahead of time eventually we are caught by some unpredictable surprise. Now, I will answer your points: 1 - The tour is definitely not a scam. We have been operating it for many years. You can check reading the previous reviews and dates on it. Some of our clients, around 5 to 10%, prefer buying their admission tickets direct at the venue. Also not everyone access all the sites. We’ve had some clients afraid of height who decided not to take the cable car to go up at Sugar Loaf for example. We also do state in the description of the tour, before completing the sale, that we have 2 options for the tour: with ticket included and without tickets and lunch included. 2 - We hire the best tour guides. We are really careful and proud of that. As I mentioned before all the sites are busy, and of course noisy, because of the season. Also the tour guide respects the group, he will speak and talk accordingly to that. Some people don’t like a talkative guide as others prefer the opposite. The guide goes with the flow, trying to make everyone happy. It’s not an easy thing to do as you can see. Again we re sorry you had a bad time and unfortunately decided on your own to quit the tour half way and not even trying to enjoy it till the end. The other people who left the tour before lunch time only did it because they had actually bought a Half Day tour with the option to go to Corcovado and Sugar Loaf only. They couldn’t be part of the Full Day tour. Hope you had a great time in your stay in Rio de Janeiro. Best regards,

Excellent tour of Rio by a knowledgable and extremely helpful tour guide, Monica. My mother uses a walker, and Monica went out of her way to accommodate her in lineups and areas where elevators were available. This meant a lot of running around, and we were amazed and appreciative of Monica‘s help. All the major sites are covered, it was a thorough tour and the only one you need, if you have only one day to tour Rio. Highly recommended!

Group Day tour of Rio

Our full day tour of Rio was really fun! We got lucky, and only had 5 people in our group. The van holds at least 12 people, and with a smaller group the experience is better. Our tour guide (Katia) was very knowledgeable, friendly, and personable! We stopped at Christ the Redeemer, which was the most impressive stop on this tour. We also got to ride the tram up to the top of Sugar Loaf. It was WINDY up there, but the view is incredible! Katia took photos for us and was very knowledgeable about the history of Rio and its many treasures. We booked the option to have lunch and tickets included in the price, and that’s the way to go. If you want to buy your own tickets it only saves a small amount, and then you have to go through the ticket line. One couple in our group did that, and they regretted it. The lunch was wonderful as well. This tour is highly recommended!

seeing the Jesus statue up close is a wonder! Had tears in my eyes, never thought I would be there!! Had plenty of time there for lots of pics! Sugar Mt. was so great, seeing so far away with the clear skies we had! Gave us lots of time to explore the jungle, saw a monkey! Went to 2 beautiful churches, and the colorful stairs in the city, though we didn't have time to climb them. Which was ok, since we all were so tired! Great tour!!!!!! Tour guide Kiko was terrific and so knowledgeable and soooo friendly!!!!!! Thank you

Sergio was our guide and he ensured we had a great time. Sergio was very knowledgeable of the Rio's history, cultures and customs. Starting from helping us understand how Rio got its name to the point of explaining about all the view points, etc he was outstanding. He was also very friendly. The van we used for going around was great as well. We ended up making friends with fellow passengers and hung out with them late into the night.

Sabina was our guide and she was the best. I cannot imagine a better guide. The van picked up up at our hotel and 8 hrs later we returned. We saw the Christos monument on top of the mountain, went to the top of sugarloaf, had a very tasty traditional Brazilian bbq lunch in ipanema, then still visited several more sites. We were in and out the van to take photos, see the sites, and learn about life and stories of Rio. It was awesome amd I highly recommend this tour and Sabina!

The tour is very complete, the guide Kiko and the driver were very friendly and kind. The weather in the morning wasn't good, so they suggested to change the order of the tour so that we were able to see the Cristo in the afternoon :)

Every part of the tour experience was great. First, Gisela notified me of the pickup time and place the day before so that I didn't have to fret about that. Monica was my guide and she was AMAZING!!! She provided so much information about everything -- even as we drove past various locations she would explain anything significant about it (I think she knows everything about Rio). She was also extremely thoughtful - making sure there was opportunity for toilet breaks and never rushing through anything. It was a fantastic day and I highly recommend this tour for everyone.
