What To Expect

Board the bus for your hop-on, hop-off tour at any of the stops along the route. Exchange your voucher for a ticket that is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours, depending on your schedule and preferences.

Disembark at any point to explore areas that interest you. Spend as much time as you like at any one stop, or skip those that don't interest you. Climb down to explore Vatican City and learn about the history of the Catholic Church or throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain, which legend has it ensures you return to Rome. Sit on the Spanish Steps and sample a local gelato or explore the Pantheon. Disembark to learn about the times of Roman gladiators in the Colosseum or stroll through the ancient Roman Forum.

While on the bus, listen to recorded audio commentary in nine languages through the provided headphones. The recorded narrative gives a comprehensive history of Rome and details its current role as a thriving Italian metropolis.

Operating Schedule: Hours of operation are 9:00am – 5.50pm Daily, every 20 minutes. Had only one day in Rome and got to see some of the major highlights easily. Started and ended at the train station and was able to get around without getting lost. Didn’t have to wait long for any buses. Recommend.

Great Way to Sightsee

We found the Hop 0n Hop Off to be a great way to get around town. It's almost like having a private driver. We used it to get to many locations. At times we just rode it around the entire route observing the sights. While you might have to do some walking to get to some of the attractions from the bus stops, the bus service is still worth it. Ride all the available routes and enjoy the sights of Rome.

We have done the big bus in several different cities and this was by far the least efficient. We would stop at every stop and stay for several minutes. The other bus companies(especially the pink one) would have 4 buses come before the big bus. Do not do the this company in Rome!

Great tour to just see the main places in Rome and get off at whatever stop you prefer. First stop conveniently located at Roma Termini. Check in was smooth and buses come frequently.

Could not locate any stop but 1 & it was closed until after 11. Never saw a Big Bus near any attractions , was never able to activate our tour tickets . Stopped at their kiosk that seems tickets , they also were of absolutely no help , in fact down right rude. Contacted company , would not provide refund .

We did not actually take the tour because while walking, we saw the buses stuck in traffic. Everything is easy to walk to so the bus is not necessary unless you have lots of time or are unable to walk a few miles.

Our 48 hour purchase was supposed to start on Saturday, but we weren’t able to start using it until Sunday and it was no problem. I was soooo relieved. We enjoyed getting around the city with ease and my 3 year old loved sitting on the open air upper deck. The app is super helpful- it shows you where the buses are in real time. The audio was great and they give you headphones. It’s an aux connection if you want to bring your own.

We found that some of the stops was to far away from some of the interest points our example was we was told for St Paul’s basilica , museum and sisten chapel get off at stop 6 but then it was a 30 minute walk which was to much for a disabled person
