    Very good

This place is very beautiful and nice. There weren’t much people and we can visit it very calm. But the day was very hot.
    Excellent site!

Such an interesting site, so much history, and such beautiful art and stunning views. So glad i booked this activity with Viator, which made it so simple and easy!
    From mausoleum to fortress

Great place to visit. Full of history that ties up with the visit to the Vatican. In fact, you should visit it right after the Vatican to learn about the power the popes had in the region and how Mussolini changed all that and about the unification of Italy.
A timesaver when seeing Castell SantAngelo

This option was definitely worth doing if you want to see Castell SantAngelo. The line was long to see the site and opened up availability for other activities to see in Rome when we visited.
Do NOT use Viator for tix here
    Frederika_S, Jun 2022
The site was AMAZING! But do NOT use Viator for tix, they did NOT honor them and I spent 30 minutes arguing with them. Only use their official website to buy tix. I learned my lesson. The Castle was fantastic, especially the views from the top!!
    Wonderful view and history

Ticket was delivered electronically and the visit was great and self guided. The bar at the top was a perfect place to rest and soak up the sights.
    Awful, the worst
    Elizabeth_S, May 2022
Awful. Never got into the castle. I never got my tickets in my email I just got the voucher. I messaged the person asking if we had to enter at 4:30 they said no we could enter whenever during the open hours. Well when we went they did not accept my voucher so I never got into the castle and the number of the operator no one answered I called 10 times. What a joke. And I emailed for a refund and no one responded so I have to take it up with my credit card company. SO RIDICULOUS
    Tourist Trap - AVOID !!

Avoid booking with this company. Maria left me hanging out to dry. Never responded to my emails and had to buy a full new ticket at the museum. She decided I was gonna be there at 10:30 am. Basically her decision what museum i was going to visit and when.
Paid and Never Received The Ticlets
    Jason_A, Jul 2020
Great Place but Viator never sent the tickets to enter and I called local support and they were no use. Could not get a refund so had to wait in line and then pay again. I called and contacted so many times and no one helped. Very frustrating experience.
    Great site, however strenuous

The Castel Sant' Angelo was fantastic! The only issues were the crowds and the number of stairs. Tourists have a tendency to not be concerned about their fellow tourists and can be less than thoughtful. The views were breathtaking and the interiors were very interesting. Some of the labels were only in Italian.

Getting early tickets was a plus. Avoiding lines. The self touring guide was great. We were able to download the app to the museum and tour at our own pace. We recommend everyone to but tickets online and just enjoy a day of exploring. More than the history books you grew up on.

A great site to visit in Rome. Excellent views of the Tiber River, St. Peters, and the Roman skyline.

An amazing building in its own right with beautifully decorated rooms and some of the best views in the city. As it is located only a few minutes walk from Vatican City, it is also the ideal way to finish off a visit to the museums.

This was a pleasant surprise after visiting the Vatican. A nice leisurely walk from the Vatican with fantastic roof top views over Rome.

We signed on for this largely to avoid lineups. But the entry was timed for 9 a.m., when the museum opened, and there really were few people waiting to get in as the doors opened. So the more expensive ticket here was not necessary. Note, however, this was early November, so things may be different at other times in the year. Which said, the museum itself is well worth the visit and there are great views around the city from the roof. There's a very good App walking guide for smart phones, which you can download free on site using the museum's wifi.

Not a place to miss! My husband and adult daughter and I climbed all over the Castel, even to the top. Not too hard a climb and full of history. We did an independent tour, but knew much of the history. View from top is magnificent.

Guide was soft spoken and had to due the tour in multiple languages making it hard to stay focused. No audio on outdoor parts made it hard to hear information.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The views from the top are well worth the steps!!!. Amazing views across Rome - can see the Pantheon and Collosseum. 15 minutes walk from Vatican so worth doing before or after a trip to the Vatican,

There wasn't a tour. We paid Viator 31.40 Euro for entrance to the site which would have cost 20.00 Euro if we had bought the tickets at the entrance. The site is well worth the visit - I would give the site 3-4 stars, but the booking via Viator is completely superfluous. We were in Rome the week before Easter 2016 so it was busy. We were at Castel Sant'Angelo at 9:00 a.m. There were only 10 people ahead of us in line. So go early, don't book ahead.
