Horrible communication. Originally told us they would pick us up at 11:30am when our scheduled time that we paid for was 11am. 11:30am came and went and they never arrived. At 11:45am we had to look for another way to get to the airport because they never arrived.

We have used Viator for 15 years all over the world with outstanding results every time till yesterday. We booked a driver to take us from the port in Civitavecchia, Italy to the airport in Rome. The driver was not there at the assigned time. After waiting 15 minutes I was in the process of texting Viator to let them know we were going to take a taxi since we could not wait any longer when the driver showed up without even apologizing. Travel is stressful at the best of times and with an 18 hour travel day ahead of us, we were relying on the Viator driver to be there at the time we booked. We will continue to book Viator for excursions but not for transfer.

Not great 🫤 Our driver arrived one hour(1) and ten minutes late. We called Viator and they could not reach them we also tried numerous times with no success. We were desperately looking for a taxi when we saw him with a crumpled piece of paper barely legible. No apology just said too much traffic. Our pick up was at 8 and we arrived at 7:30. There were numerous other drivers that arrived on time. He then drove at a very high speed scary at times. Not a good experience. It’s been 3 days now and still no apology from company. We made our flight but it was close.

Ship to Rome Tour

Our driver was right on time and waiting for us at the ship terminal. She was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The car was very clean and nice. The tour hit all the high points in Rome in a short amount of time. She knew exactly where to park for a short walk to each attraction. The down side for us and only reason I did not give 5 stars is her accent was quite thick and we had a very hard time understanding her English. We missed out on much of what she was explaining to us, as we could not understand.
