One of the best things I did during my Rome vacation! Our tour guide, Simone was great! We visited 5 different restaurants that introduced us to some of the best food we had in Rome. The tour was not only delicious, it was educational as well. Our tour guide was native to Rome and shared a lot of helpful and interesting information about the food and history of Rome. I would highly recommend booking this tour early in your trip to Rome - it will help to guide your food choices the remainder of your time there.

A fantastic introduction to Roman food, thrown in with a fascinating tour of the neighbourhood which was evocative, fun and educational at the same time. Our guide was just great. Definitely a highlight of any visit to Rome.

Definitely recommend!! Francesca was our guide and was fantastic, also made sure no one ever got left behind! We originally scheduled the evening tour at 6pm, however we got a text the morning before notifying us that our guide was sick and could no longer do that tour. They offered for us to get a full refund or to reschedule our tour for the morning one at 11am. We ended up rescheduling for the earlier one and are happy we did. Francesca did a great job of making sure she didn’t start until everyone arrived. The tour was right around 2.5 hours. We had 10 people in our group which was quite fun actually. Francesca did a fabulous job of telling us all the history behind the foods as well as some areas along the way. She was very knowledgeable. We tasted 5 foods, which may not have been quite enough for the dinner tour, but for the lunch tour it was plenty. My husband and I were both full for a few hours afterwards! Complimentary wine was included, but we don’t drink so we stuck with our own water as water wasn’t provided, but we Highly highly recommend!

What a great introduction to Rome! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was a mixture of fact and food and is a must for any first time in this city.
I assume it was cancelled
Nicola_H, Feb 2024
Waited at the meeting point but no one turned up. I assume the tour was cancelled as shortly after the start time, I was sent an email saying Viator had been notified of a refund request. I had no communication from the tour operator or viator to say the tour was cancelled prior to that email. Such a shame as the street food tour I did a great years ago was great.

The ability to try different foods and wines. Although, not as tasty as I was hoping. Definitely a walking tour so wear comfortable shoes. Glad I got to experience it with my husband, sister and her husband. At times it was hard to hear the guide.

Food with history
Ami_H, Jan 2024
This tour was equal part history and food. It would have been fine if we knew that up front but we thought it was just a food tour, so the kids were getting impatient.
Jay_K, Jan 2024
We very much enjoyed tour with Luca, would highly recommend it, informative, humorous and friendly! Showed us areas not frequently visited by tourists but has so much meaning and history.
