    Jenniser_P, Feb 2024
Our tour guide was Andre. He was knowledgeable and lead the group of 19 very well. This tour is amazing and the photos from every angle are amazing. Then onto the Roman Forum hit we did not tour Palestine Hill which my group was fine with. Great job Andre!
    Highly recommend 5*

Company used - Tour in Rome by Tour in the City. Just want to say thank you to Tour in the city for calling us especially when we were late to register on arrival. They waited for us so we can join the group and start the coloessum tour. They made feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Especially our tour guide name julienne I think that's her name. She made the whole experience fun. She was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information before we saw the main sites. She was funny which made the tour interesting. She kept the group together very well in a busy attraction. She made our tour. Not only once the tour was over, she helped us find a restaurant that catered for our diets. And the restaurant did looked after us too. Thank you Julianna for making my trip so fun xx would highly recommend this company as your tour guide. Xx :)
    Great Tour!

Wonderful tour! A lot of walking, sooo worth it. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and gave a really good tour.
Great narration of history as well as efficient access to the sites on a busy day.
    Stephen_K, Feb 2024
Great tour to do especially with the crowds. The skip the line feature was an added bonus and sped up navigating through the high number of people. Our guide provided a lot of good insight for all the locations visited.
    Awesome experience! Guide was awesome
    Mini_P, Feb 2024

Just listening to all the interesting historical facts, the detail and our guides knowledge, made me want to watch Gladiator again 😂
    Georgio the best
    Tanya_S, Feb 2024
Overall it was a great experience. Security wait line was 5-10 min. Our guide Georgio was amazing and humorous, and answered our questions.
    Beautiful sites to see!
    Ashley_V, Feb 2024
Our tour guide was amazing! Not only was she chock full of interesting facts about the Colosseum, but she was a pro at helping our large tour group navigate the unwieldy crowds. One note is that you are not able to access the bathroom while you’re at the Colosseum, and it’s about 90 minutes + another 20 to get into the forum where you’ll have access, so we actually had to leave the tour early as we could not be accommodated. Not the fault of the tour or guide! We weren’t able to find our group again when we came back and had to drop our radios off at the main office.
    Great tour!
    Jennifer_L, Feb 2024
This tour was great since it covered multiple historical sites. Was a lot of information packed in a few hours but our guide Valerio kept us engaged with pictures, jokes, and fun stories! If you’re traveling to Rome these sites are a must see and this tour is a good one!
Great things to see, but too much narration
    Erik_B, Feb 2024
George, the guide, was very knowledgeable. And the sights were amazing. But…George began speaking at security and didn’t stop for over 2 hours. The tour moved very fast…too fast to really take very much in. And the fast pace of the narration made it difficult to follow all the detail. Recommend scaling back the narration to some really interesting points that are easier to follow and appreciate.
    Response from Host, Feb 2024
Dear Client, We are sorry the tour did not meet your expectations. We have reviewed the feedback from your group's participants and couldn't find any similar complaints. The itineraries of the tours we offer are planned to allow our customers to get the best out of the visits and to optimize the time available. In any case, our guides are all experts, trained, and passionate. Although they give their best, they may only be appreciated by some as opinion is an entirely personal factor. Please get in touch with us to check through your booking code and which tour you have participated in and make the right decisions. Nonetheless, we have also forwarded this to our Guide Management department so that it can be looked at and followed up with the guide in case it is needed. Our local guides, selected for experience and professionalism, try their best to share their passion for their country and local History; we apologize that the guided tour was disappointing for you, and we will do our best to avoid it again. Should you contact us directly at info @ with your comments, please do not hesitate to do so and provide your booking reference number so we can follow up with the relevant people for you. Thank you for leaving us your review once again. We hope to hear from you soon. Kind Regards, Stefano Tour in the City
    Brilliant tour
    Sandra_M, Feb 2024
Skip the queue Tour is definitely worth paying a little extra for, even at this time of year there were still lots of people about. Our tour guide was a Russian lady (tall with blonde hair, so sorry can’t remember her name!) her knowledge and humour was brilliant! She made the tour alot of fun. So interesting.
    Great tour
    Maria_M, Feb 2024
This tour was great, I did not get the guides name although she was very good. She gave us a lot of detail on the colosseum, palatine hill and Roman forum, she was able to add humour to keep us intrigued and timed the tour well to fit everything in and give us time to take our photos - we did not feel rushed. One thing I will say, if you are doing the palatine hill you will need to have good mobility - my mum struggled as she has a bad knee and it is a lot of steps - but she did say it was worth it, just to keep in mind. No issue with mobility in the colosseum itself as you can use the elevator if needed. Definitely worth booking a tour to skip the line and get the best information about the colosseum etc as you don’t really know what you’re looking at if you go alone! Thanks again for a great tour and all of the inside knowledge!
    Well worth it
    MissSJ_S, Feb 2024
Great tour fantastic guide Julia very informative A bit of confusion where to collect tour as it’s just at street corner at park and you’re not sure if anyone is going to turn up till the last minute would be better if a temporary stand or someone was there to answer questions before tour starts
    The perfect tour
    Juliette_M, Feb 2024
Was so impressed with this tour. It was so easy to find the meeting point and you were greater straight away and given all instructions which were clear. The tour was organised perfectly we got to see everything and it was all within exactly 2 and a half hours. Our tour guide was funny and so informative she really made us see a whole side of Roman history I didn’t even know existed. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
    Amazing tour!

Great tour guide, very knowledgeable, gave extensive explanations of the Colosseum, Palantine hill and the forum. She was very interested in our questions and excited about the areas we were touring.

The tour guide was excellent and took the time to explain everything. Fabulous day and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
    Lots to learn
    Anne_M, Feb 2024
A very informative tour. Our guide worked hard to help us understand exactly how life would have been for all those living in these times and a wider perspective on emperors.
