Fantastic experience, very didactic but I realized I finish the visit without solving all questions I formerly bore in mimd. Probably because the Archeological site is not yet completely studied - the limits are still blurred .. Anyway, the working in progress that I have eye-witnessed ( and the story I have listened) turned out to be a priceless reward. Thank you so much for the experience.

We did not get to take this tour. It was cancelled. However, we were not informed until AFTER we spent an entire morning getting to the location….a 3 mile walk, then waiting 50 minutes for the tour rep to show up. I messaged Viator in complaint and was then informed that it was cancelled. The message I recieved is that the tour had been cancelled and an email was sent to me. If I didn’t receive it that wasn’t their fault?!?!?! Wow. No sorry for the inconvenience. Or for wasting your valuable vacation time. Nope. Just it was MY fault I didn’t receive their email. Well, I can promise you I will NEVER book another tour with Viator nor will anyone I know if can help it. AND after all that, they message ME to ask for a review of a tour that I didn’t even get to experience.

I had the tour scheduled at 9:00 am in such a way that I could go to a 3 hours Colliseum Tour which began at 10:45 am. Your agent contacted me several times to reschedule the tour but he could not find a convenient time to me tour the visit the Domus Aurea. In short, no tour, money lost.

hello , first thing before post any feedback kinldy think overall , we send your E-voucher through viator email , then we sned text message to your phone numbner that we already send t your entry tour ticket , to collect your entry ticket it was also written to your voucher very clearly how could you have to do it , then if you go to the attraction with viator boking voucher it's not our fault , as it was written everything instructions ,even you guys didn't called to us the number which was mentioned into the voucher . so don't think only from your side and share your opinion here which is not really true what you explained, we do apology if mistake happened by us.

thanks for your feedback, it's not a meeting point it's a Domus entrance if the entrance is like that so what we can do? That's why we always informed the travelers to go there 25 minutes before the tour starts time.

Total scam - do not book!

Total scam. We bought the “small group tour” (max 12 person ) for 75 euro each. There is no small group tour, all tours are led by the city employee and are 23 people. Same tour that the ticket office charges 16 euro pp for.

hello, you booked a tour with a tour operator company and we don't force you to book with us. and if you can find this tour on your own so why not book them, definitely this tour operates by Domus authority, and in the tour, descreption was mentioned maximum 25 people. you paid for the tour, tickets and service so don't just see the price 23 euro. as if you booked the tour colosseum tour cost different company different prices .but nobody doesn't sell them 18 euro, where is the actual price 18 euro. but you guys never ever find the tickets because the tickets always sold out. so think practical not think about what you paid. nobody not going to provide you with the free service or the price which is the actual, hope next time to book any service think about your budget then book them. thanks

The Domus aurea is an amazing building, a feat of engineering at the time. You can see why successive emperors wanted to cover it up-it must have been so OTT. Unfortunately our guide was not good. Very monotone delivery and not great english which made it difficult to follow him. He clearly had a lot of knowledge but was unable to get this across in an engaging manner. He disappeared very quickly at the end and didn’t check that everyone was out. In fact a few in our group had taken a wrong turn at the end and got lost.

Organisation & Personal mangelhaft, Führung sehr gut

Die Führung selbst ist interessant und war gut gemacht. Aber es wurde nicht informiert dass die für 9 gebuchte Führung erst um 9:30 stattfindet. So hatte ich in der Früh noch Stress um sicherheitshalber ja um 8:45 vor Ort zu sein und habe dann zusammen mit ca. 10 - 15 Leuten umsonst gewartet. Glücklicherweise hat es erst um 9:20 zu regnen angefangen. Das Personal vor Ort machte da auch keine Anstalten eine Unterstellmöglichkeit zu bieten, obwohl die Räumlichkeiten vorhanden gewesen wären. Die haben für sich selbst ein Zelt aufgestellt und den wartenden Besuchern im Regen zugeschaut. Also Organisation und Personal mangelhaft, die Führung an sich ist gut.
