We certainly covered some ground so wear comfortable walking shoes and I daresay in summer it would get very hot so hats and water would be a necessity.
Make sure you have good walking shoes on and are in good physical condition as one will be going up and down multiple steps and hills
It is a lot of history to know in a short period of time, so I recommend seeking small groups, which will make me return to know more and enjoy the guide's knowledge.

Great way to view Rome’s historical sites.
      Caitlin_M, Mar 2024
The guide was knowledgeable and we appreciated being able to skip the long lines with assistance. We learned so much on this tour and highly recommend it. If the check in process had been more streamlined, we would have given it 5 stars.

The trip was good and informative but because we started late we felt it was a bit rushed in places but overall a good experience
Avoid this company at all cost
      Nicky_S, Mar 2024
Had the worst experience ever, I was was early for my colosseum tour at 9am & told to wait aside which I done after the guide changing my times to suit them at 10.20am , then I asked whats happening about 10.20ish then was told my tour guide had already left , I asked to get another time rescheduled or refund & was then told No as staff said I was late ? Even though I was waiting aside in the rain for nearly 3hrs due to the staff member telling me to do so , but obviously the staff isn't going to say its there fault & now its my word against there's! I messaged about my situation and was told I will hear back a response within 72hrs which has now passed & still nothing? I am now down £65.39 which is a disgrace with no feedback whatsoever I had to book another tour from a different website (Get your Guide) which cost me even more money but cheaper rhan (Viator) as I wasn't going to let this experience ruin my holiday I will Never use Viator or ever recommend them to anyone again, So unprofessional and only after your money.
Viator's "slight" time change policy was hours different
      Joshua_C, Mar 2024
Viator changed the time of my tour 2 days before our expected date. The voucher said there could be a slight change to the time so I booked knowing my tour of the Sistone Chapel was 4 hours later. Well, Viator contacted me that the tour had moved almost 3 hours later in the day and there was nothing they could do. I now had to choose between the 2 tours. This was so very frustrating and such a scummy practice. Never using Viator again.
      Fantastic guide, Massimo,...
      Oscar_C, Mar 2024
Fantastic guide, Massimo, gave us real insights into the world of Ancient Rome. The administration of the tour was a little messy. Our original time was moved, not a big problem. We were informed we needed photo ID for each person to ensure that we got access to some sites - this was a surprise and we didn't have any ID with us. Fortunately, where we were staying was close enough to allow us get our IDs - this requirement was not included in any of the emails or WhatsApps received in advance

Great tour. We had to wait an hour to get in, but Nikolai, our guide, kept us entertained with his stories and knowledge of history.
      Book The Tour!
      Casy_P, Mar 2024
Such a good tour, our tour guide was very interactive and made the tour so much fun while we were learning. Lots of walking for this tour and The Roman Forum is very rocky with unstable terrain so make sure to wear a good pairs of shoes with some grip. The sun was out this day and I really wish I had a hat because we were outside majority of the time. So glad we booked this tour, we were able to learn all about Rome and even get some fun facts we had never heard before. Definitely recommend this tour if you’re visiting Rome.
      Great tour
      Lindsey_R, Mar 2024
Great tour! Pleased we opted for access to the Arena. Our guide, Paolo, was super knowledgeable presented the information clearly and with good humour. Would definitely recommend.
      Great guide
      Diane_S, Mar 2024
Paolo was a great guide - I’ve never done a tour where the guide talks the entire time. He had so much information to share and also was relaxed in his presentation and tied informs together well.
      Worthwhile tour.
      Terry_O, Mar 2024
Collesium tour was excellent. Tour guide was extremely informative. 2nd half became a little tiresome. Lots of walking And climbing. On cobblestones. Be aware !!! If your not in pretty good shape, try something else.
Excellent tour, with a wonderful guide
      Nicola_B, Mar 2024
Our tour guide, Francesca, was excellent! She was very engaging, interesting and inclusive, bringing each aspect of the tour to life. Entering the Colosseum through the "Death Gate " was definitely a highlight! We would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Francesca!
      Roman Forum and Colosseum Tour
      Robert_E, Mar 2024
Mossimo aka Max, was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and could speak English very well. Great tour of the Roman Forum and Colosseum. The 2:00 tour was originally booked for 2:15, and it was supposed to be “skip the line” but we had to wait at both sites. Tour seemed kind of short at the Forum and also didn’t leave enough time to visit the gift shop at the Colosseum as it closed at 4:30. The name of the tour should be Ancient “Roman Forum” and Colosseum with Arena Access
      Colosseum Tour
      Robert_N, Mar 2024
Yesterday, we toured the Colosseum and while we had beautiful weather, our tour guide was lacking. We had paid for the English speaking tour, but she spoke English with a very thick accent which made it very hard to understand anything she said. In addition, as soon as we entered the gate to have our tickets scanned, the headsets she had just passed out, stopped working. Therefore, the whole group had to try and squeeze in close to her the entire 2 hours, which was impossible with the crowds, just to try and hear anything she said. She scolded people who stopped to take pictures. I now know only what I already knew about the Colosseum before going, even after paying 151.44! 🙄
      Must-see!
      Bryan_M, Mar 2024
It was an amazing experience. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. She was able to answer all of our questions. Francesca was an amazing tour guide!
      AMAZING!

Stepping back into history & seeing Rome up close is amazing! Thanks for an amazing experience … we’ll do this again!

Interesting and stunning tour of some of Rome’s most famous archaeological sites
      Megan_P, Mar 2024
David was really knowledgeable about all areas of the tour and was happy to answer any questions he received, it was fascinating and was great to have access to the arena floor of the colosseum.
      A must-do in Rome!
      Brittany_M, Mar 2024
Marcus was a great tour guide and very informative! We are so happy we decided to book this tour as someone who doesn’t have a lot of time in Rome, it’s so helpful to experience such great historical sites in a small amount of time but still get a well rounded experience out of it. We highly recommend this tour!
Beware! Italy Wonders changed the time. No cell service, and they dont email about changes. Beware!!!
      John_J, Mar 2024
Beware!! Tour operator, Italy Wonders, changed the time and we missed the tour by 20 minutes. I had limited cell data in Italy and they don't email changes to the time. We acknowledged the new time a day before when I had service, but they texted a confirmation to my cell phone the next day that never came through because I was out of the country. It wasn't until I had wi-fi again that I got a whatsapp message. Never an email. Once I was late to the tour, they stopped responding to whats app. No refunds. Beware!! We missed the tour and lost our money!
