What To Expect

Meet your art historian guide less than a 5-minute walk from the Vatican Museums and head over together. Go straight to the front of the line thanks to skip-the-line access, and make your way inside. Put on an audio headset that will make it easy to hear your guide's extensive commentary and begin your tour through the ornate halls of the Holy See’s Vatican.

Take your time to check out the art while listening to your guide before continuing into the star attraction: the Sistine Chapel. Step inside and look up to see Michelangelo’s masterpiece frescoes adorning the ceilings, while listening to your guide’s perspective on the history and significance of this world-famous place of worship.

  • Please note that on the day of your visit certain areas of the monument/attraction can be closed due to either religious events and national holidays.

  • Please be advised capacity regulations and security may delay the tour departure This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays and events.
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • Cancellations, changes or issues due to weather, security and events held by the monument are beyond our control and are directly decided by their administration team. These issues will be reviewed by us and dealt with on an individual basis but are the responsibility of the monument.
  • All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security.
  • The exact timings and reservations can vary, dependant on the monument/attraction’s administration offices availabilities and decisions on the booking day and can be subject to last minute changes. Departure time can differ up to 20 minutes from your selected time.
  • Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.
  • Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.
  • Students booking a reduced ticket must have a photo ID, you must bring a photo ID to be allowed into the monument.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Knees & Shoulders must be covered for both Men & Women to enter the Sistine Chapel
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

It was a wonderful advantage to be on a skip-the-line tour as it was a rainy day during Holy Week and the lines to get in were around the corner. Our tour guide was especially knowledgeable and shared interesting facts on the history and individual pieces. We were able to see more and get more from the tour because of her.

Our guide Kristina’s knowledge of the history of the Vatican was amazing. The way in which she imparted her knowledge kept you interested, engaged & wanting to know more. She was warm and welcoming to everyone in the tour group. She is an amazing teacher & speaker. I would highly recommend going on a tour with her to anyone.

Our tour guide was Christina, and we were thrilled to have her. The Vatican is a very busy place, and she did a phemonal job managing the group and getting us from point A to B, while also teaching us a lot in little time. I have a 10 year old and a 13 year old and even they appreciated her description of Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel. She really came across as an expert on the Vatican and it's artwork.

I have to give a huge shout out to our guide "Debra"... there was 20 people in our group and she had us all herded together in pristine fashion, her family as she called us. She moved us through all the attractions, moving other groups on from Dilly Dallying to allow us all the chance for spectacular photographs.
