You will pass through strict security checks both at the Colosseum and at the Roman Forum entrance. Please be aware that security check lines are not skippable
Flying drones and knives of any kind are strictly forbidden. Neither trolleys and big backpacks nor animals are allowed into the Colosseum. Glass/metal containers and sprays of any kind are also not allowed
The order in which the sites are visited during the tour can vary; either the Colosseum or Forum and Palatine Hill will come first
The Belvedere is momentarily not part of this tour due to COVID-19 restrictions
A moderate amount of walking and steps are involved; wear comfortable walking shoes
Please note that the group will leave the meeting point 15 minutes before the starting time in order to pass the security check

Disappointed

We were told when checking in that the tour that was at 10:10 AM would only be at 11:30 AM. OK, so we could wait they had to merge two groups into one understandable. But then in the middle of the tour, one of the other members of the tour told us that there was no underground included and they had gotten an email or text from the company. We did not get such an email or text and did not know about not having the underground tour part. We are going to be calling the tour company and asking them for a credit and part of that tour.

Fantastic tour and our guide was informative and fun!

This was disorganised from the start of the tour and the underground tour was cancelled which was very disappointing We were told it was closed however there were people in the underground section and our guide said the company forgot to book the underground section I would not recommend this tour company

Colosseum no underground

Our tour was changed by the booking agency before we went and we were not able to go under ground. The tour guide was excellent. Lots of walking on uneven surfaces and up/down stairs with no hand rails.

We loved this tour. It was so nice to be there at night without all the crowds and when it was much cooler outside. Traveling to Europe in August was HOT! What I wasn't aware of when I booked this was that our tour times were split. We had to be at the Roman Forum for 4:30 and then come back to do the night tour of the Colosseum at 8. The description did not make that clear prior to purchase. None the less the tours were great. An added bonus was the couple out on the sidewalk taking professional grade photos of people in front of the Colosseum for just $5. These photos are gorgeous and the best photos we got of our family on our 2 week trip. They airdropped the photos to us immediately (be sure to look for them they will be the only people holding a huge bouquet of balloons)!

A Must See Tour

It was so interesting to learn about the history of both the under and above ground functions of the colosseum. Our tour guide was great at explaining the details of the workers, spectators, politics and finally, the gladiators. The night tour was lovely because it was cooler and less people. Definitely worth the money for this special tour.

The tour with guides was well worth the money. So knowledgeable explained so much. They made history come alive. The night time trip to the Colosseum was mind blowing. Definitely worth spending the extra money to do the arena floor. Palatine Hill and Forum is a huge site steeped in history explained so well you the guide.

Francesca was a great guide, and doing the Palestine hill, then the Roman Forum ending at the Colosseum was the perfect way to do the tour. The queues weren't too long and when we were in a queue Francesca kept us entertained.

Underground not available

I have you’re the colosseum I. The past. We booked this , no refundable tour, specifically to go underground only to be advised a week prior that the underground tickets were not available and we could not have a full refund. Francesca was a wonderful guide.

The tour operator contacted us a few days before the underground part was removed, I think it was the most interesting part of the tour. We were really looking forward to it and disappointed that we never got to see it.
