Every participant MUST bring an id or a photo of it. It is mandatory requested by the monument in order to enter the Colosseum Underground.
The tour reservations have strict timing. To join the tour you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
Please provide an active phone number during the booking process in order to be contacted about last minute changing.
Pets are not allowed inside the venue

Tour guide for Colosseum had a lot of knowledge to share on this fascinating tour, however did have a strong Italian accent, so needed to listen carefully.

Tour office was hard to find and was not open at the designated time 30 minutes ahead of tour time.

I have taken a lot of excursions in my lifetime, and this would rate in the top three. Our guide was amazing and loves what she does. I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves history and wants details. She also speaks English like it was her first language. Cheerful and positive.

First I am making a complaint. I know it was stated time may very. Our tour was supposed to start at 10:45 but was notified changed to 11:30 but we did not end up leaving til 12:15. Tour was supposed to last 3 hours but lasted only 2. Also if you would look at attached photo Palatine Hill was supposed to be part of the tour and it was not. When I asked the tour guide he it was because we were doing underground of Colosseum. Well that was always supposed to be part of the tour so I’m not sure why we did not get to see Palatine hill. We paid a lot of money for this tour and in that aspect I am disappointed. I would like a refund of 64$ euro as that is what admittance to the Palatine Hill is. I have sent a request also to Italy with Family tours and they state that Palatine Hill not part of tour. I have proof so please advise. Donna. I will say the information from our tour guide was exceptional he was exceptional.

We were on a cruise and I booked a time that would get me off the ship and time enough to get to Rome but aviator changed my time up an hour and a half and we missed our tour. They did get us on another tour but it was very disorganized.

Not only did we have to cancel for medical reasons, but the time of entry was changed to 2 hours later and we wouldn’t have been able to meet another commitment we had planned for that day. With both these viable reasons we were told we would NOT get a refund!! Very disappointing and a huge rip off! Not impressed!!

This tour, for us, was wonderful! Our guide Rita was engaging, knowledgeable, and had perfect timing. She shared so many facts and stories using comparisons and humour. We started in the Roman Forum, then explored Palatine Hill and then the underground area of the Colosseum. We spent about 30 minutes in the underground, it was not crowded as they are very strict in who enters, then were able to view the Colosseum from a more private, less busy area for a good amount of time while our guide continued her excellent commentary. It was an amazing experience to be able to visit the underground areas and hear about the animals and people who would have been in this part of this incredible structure. Our group was 18 people. Our tickets were checked 4 times throughout the tour and we had to show ID to enter the Colosseum and it was checked one person at a time by the Colosseum staff. When first entering into the Roman Forum area there was a metal detector. Remember your ID! We were allowed to bring in water bottles. There were washrooms by the Forum entrance by a little cafeteria and more inside the Colosseum. Those were very busy-expect a long line. As you exit the Colosseum there is a little book store which sells a few souvenirs. This tour was, for us, worth the price! Total time was about 3 1/2 hours. Also, do check email or WhatsApp for notes from the operator. Our time was originally at 8:45 but was changed to 9:30. Also the office is a bit tricky to find (street seems like an alley) but their instructions are good.

We got to the ticket place early and were told that the under ground tour was cancelled by the Colosseum Management, They would only be able to give us the regular tour and going out on to the platform. They also added 6 more people to our tour. Nice family but they also were tld their underground tour was cancelled. During our tour We could see people touring the underground part. We just felt that they overbooked their tours and did not have people to do that part. It was very disappointing that the tour was changed the last minute. We did not have the extra days to possibly move it and then see it cancelled again. I would think twice about booking with this company as they were not reliable and seems to be the bait and switch practice knowing people cannot change things like that last minute.

We had a group of 7 of us. It was easy to follow the instructions for the meeting point and find out tour guide. Even though he had an Italian accent his English was great and easy to understand. The lines were crazy so we were extremely glad we did the skip the line tour. Also if you just do the regular admission you only get to see 1 or 2 levels. Seeing the underneath and learning the history and things I didn't know about it. Highly recommend this tour.
