    Going into the hobbit hole and seeing all the rooms, it was perfect. The detail was amazing. I wanted to live there forever!

    The tour gradually reveals new things. You start outside at the Hobbit holes, then move inside, which is absolutely amazing. Finally, you end at a sort of pub with drinks and lunch. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.

    I was amazed at how detailed everything was at the Hobbiton site, especially in the Hobbit house that we were able to view. The lunch was more of a feast than a lunch and the drink in the Green Dragon Inn was nice also. We had the most wonderful driver for our bus. He entertained us there and back with information about the area and involved each of us with songs from our own countries. It was lovely!

    Seeing how the movie set was made in the stunning landscapes. Really felt like being in the movie. Being able to go into a hobbit hole as well. Great experience

    Absolutely wonderful. The whole excursion was well thought out. Hobbiton did not rush you through. They really made you feel part of a small group and gave a relaxed, cheerful visit. So impressed!

    Loved our day and the staff were fantastic and lots of fun. But all being over 70 we found we were very rushed but understand the push to get the groups through , but after paying would have liked slower pace at our age

    Phenomenal experience at Hobbiton! And lunch or dinner at the Green Dragon is an absolute must-do! AND if you're lucky enough, you'll get the best bloody tour guide on the planet...NGATA! This beautiful Maori man elevated our 6 hour tour to a whole new level again...he was hilarious, kept us laughing all day, remembered everyones names and stories, got us all engaged and talking, laughing and singing. I loved our international karoke session on the way home (and thats saying something coz I hate karoke... hahaha) His Maori prayers felt so special to start our trip and the knowledge he shared was incredible. We can't thank Ngata enough for making our day so bloody brilliant! If u see this my friend...are a true LEGEND!! Thank you!! 😁

    It was all very enjoyable. Beautiful sunny day, bus comfy, ride and hour to Location beautiful and driver fabulous. When we got their everything perfect. The lunch, my goodness could not have been better. This was all wonderful, don't miss it!

    It was a great day. Had an excellent driver who made the bus trip very enjoyable. Everything was well organised and timed well. Had a very good buffet lunch with good quality food and catering for gluten free. The area is beautiful and it was fantastic being amongst it all at Hobbiton. Good day out was had by all. Guide was very good and made it all come to life.

    It was such a great experience we had on the day; our trip started from Rotorua. Nuttar (sorry for spelling) was so professional and very funny guide/bus driver! He entertained everyone on the bus with multi language skills. Once we arrived at the Hobbiton, Cody was our tour guide, I couldn't ask for more. He's such a great entertainer and guide us around, also great photographer as well! We never want the tour to finished! He's one of the best guides I have meet. It's great value for what we paid. Highly recommended!

    I had prebooked my day at Hobbiton very excited to experience something as great as this. Unfortunately I injured myself the day before and was unable to attend. I reached out to get a refund since it was a grand total of $485. I called Viator the booking company and was told to talk to the Hobbiton company directly. I was told by the Hobbiton company I need a doctors note it is then looked at by a supervisor and it’s a 50/50 chance I even get a refund. I was also told to then call the Viator company which I had already done. I’m saddened by this outcome considering it was something out of my control and I wouldn’t miss this opportunity otherwise. I have booked with Viator on numerous occasions without a problem. $485 may not be allot to a company but it sure is for someone who travelled from Lahaina HI.

    Hobbiton was amazing! Peter Jackson is such a special guy. Loved it. The tour guides were full of energy and very friendly. The lunch was delicious and so well organised. I loved meeting people from so many countries especially my lovely German, Marion. The bus driver was very professional and interactive. He did an amazing job. It was comfortable on the bus and the scenery was amazing. Thank you for a great day.

    As a fan of the books and movies it was amazing to walk through Hobbiton and experience it and the recent addition of Bagshot Row allowing us to step inside a Hobbit Hole was totally unexpected.
