    Loved the weee Hobbiton. We had a great bus driver who was very funny. She also gave us a nice history of the area and funny stories about Hobbiton.

    Having Hobbiton come to life for me. Seeing in reality what I saw in the movies. Lunch was great too. I really appreciated our Guide Mike, he made it so much easier to visualise.

    Visiting Hobbiton was definitely on our bucket list and whilst our coach tour wasn't going there, we were able arrange our tour thanks to Viator and GreatSights. We broke away for a few hours whilst we were in Rotorua and were delighted that we did. Excellent mini-tour and the Coach Captain, Steve was one of the reasons. He was great. I'm 75 so I'm not likely to return however it left me with wonderful memories and so we will always be grateful.

    Wonderful day out if you are a fan of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit (and probably even if you are not familiar with those). Really impressive. Bring your ID though if you want a drink in the Green Dragon - I’m 33 and they wouldn’t serve me without mine 🤣

    The detail of the movie set and the background information provided by our guide was very interesting. Details of the history of Hobbiton and its development for the movie were very interesting.

    The Hobbiton staff and the whole experience were friendly, welcoming and provided a great experience. The coach driver was in a hurry and bustled everyone out of the lunch before we had time to have our coffee, we ended up back in Rotorua half an hour earlier than expected. That was not an enjoyable part of the day.
    This is one of those actually awesome experiences.

    This was the trip I expected, couldn't have been better. The bus was a bit late but it is a spacious bus/coach that picks up at select hotels and the Rotorua I-site visitor information center. The people that I called from customer service were helpful to let us know it was running late and assured us it was coming. The ride was comfortable and included some pleasant local information. Once we got there, they hit the gift center, cafe, and restrooms first then off again with the tour guide up to the shire. Tour is as amazing as it sounds. A must. The green dragon was awesome, good beer and cider. The lunch was a proper meal with salads, veg, meats, fish and deserts. They are always happy to cater to little folk... I mean gluten free, vegan, etc. Book a trip!

    Poor service from the drivers. I almost miss my flight because my driver placed my suitcases in the wrong place. The tour its not worth it for the price

    Wow, I was impressed at how expansive and extensive the movie set was! It was a whole little magical town! So interesting to hear the stories about various pieces of the set and the great lengths (and expense) they took to get every little detail to their liking. Really neat to see in person!
    Hobbit fan- this is an absolute must.

    A wonderful experience. The coach was on time and modern, and the guide at Hobbiton was very professional. Hobbiton itself was awesome, brilliant to visit Bag End and the party field and other famous locations. Ginger beer in the Green Dragon was lovely, and the quality of food for lunch was excellent, I particularly enjoyed the roast beef. Would thoroughly recommend this tour for all Hobbit and LOTR fans!

    Great all the way. Bus on time and confortable. Driver Anna was very entertaining and good history teacher. Visit was fun and again à good site guide. Meal was good and plenty of sélection. Do recommend spéciales if you do not have a car

    Both our bus driver, Hana, and our Hobbiton tour guide, Inga, were fun and so full of knowledge! The ride out was pleasant and Hana shared information about the local area and Māori culture. She made the process of getting checked in at the Shire’s Rest super easy. We had time to stop in the cafe and the gift shop , of course! The movie set DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Inga have such an engaging tour and we had a great sized group of fun tourists! The lunch and the cider at the Green Dragon were delicious. This tour was also really convenient since I did not have a car and you can no longer get a free shuttle from Matamata. It really was worth the money to pay for the ease and the wonderful, wonderful guides.

    Our driver was terrific. Our guide was helpful and informative. The Hobbiton was beyond delightful. So much fun strolling thru the village and talking crazy pictures and some regular ones also. Lunch was delicious. We hated to leave,

    It was a wonderful experience to be where the movie was made. Also, learning about all the techniques used to have a sunset when the sun doesn’t rise where expected for instance. Wonderful landscapes and good food!

    From start to finish this was such a fun tour! Our guide was friendly & knowledgeable, we had time to take multiple photos & it was all postcard perfect! Lunch was delicious, We did love the green dragon inn for drinks!

    I really enjoyed this tour to Hobbiton. Our bus driver was very knowledgeable of the local area and we learned a lot on the way there. Hobbiton itself is very surreal and absolutely amazing! Lunch at the Green Dragon Inn was also really nice, great selection of different mains and even desserts. And I even made new friends along the way! Definitely recommend!

    Everything went smoothly, the bus driver was wonderful and kept us entertained with stories along the way (can't remember her name maybe sherly). The tour it's self was great and the guide offer to take photo is you need which was handy as a solo travel. Food was really good and lots of vegitarian options. The music really makes you feel like your in the movie :)

    This tour is a must for any LOTR fan! We had time to shop for souvenirs at the gift shop and grab a coffee at the cafe at Shire's Rest before the tour. For the tour itself, we were lucky and only had 10 people in our group, so we were able to take lots of pictures throughout the tour and ask a lot of questions which made the experience that much better. The drinks at the Green Dragon and the buffet lunch were both incredible! Cannot recommend enough!

    We joined the tour because we were not able to get the tickets of the day we desired directly from the Hobbiton web site. The tour is great. I have to say our guide is excellent. She talked about the history on the way to the destination. At the Hobbiton site, she took photos for everyone when these is a chance. I would recommend this tour.
