Meet your guide at Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park in Santa Claus Village (Joulumaantie 5) or at Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park City Office (Koskikatu 25). The city office in the Rovaniemi Center is located downstairs in the Shopping Center Rinteenkulma (Koskikatu 25). You can also find entrance to the city office just across the road from Hertz and Scandic Rovaniemi City. You will recognise your guide by their Snowmobile park jacket. If you have selected a different pickup location, please be ready and waiting by the entrance or lobby of your selected location 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pickup time. You will recognise your guide by their Snowmobile park jacket. The activity provider will confirm your pickup time the day before the tour. If you have not received a pickup time, please contact the activity provider.

- 2 adults share 1 snowmobile, single driving is available on site for 50€ (according to availability)

- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

One of the best tours we have ever done. It is an adventurous snowmobile ride followed by the beautiful view of the Northern lights alternating with hot juice at a nice chalet in the middle of the iced landscape. We really loved it! Beautiful landscape for a Brazilian eye!

Having never driven snowmobiles before, we expected a little more...patience. from the start, it seemed the goal was to go as fast as possible over the washboard trail. My butt left the seat more than once because of the bumps. The only guide was in the lead and--as fast as he was moving--if we, or the riders in front of us has been thrown, the guide wouldn't have known until they were two miles away.

I found this trip a very bumpy ride!… really hard to hold on. I did 4 years ago but it was across lakes & much better. Guides were lovely & forests & barbecue lovely!… just uncomfortable ride for us & kids got cold in sleigh too…

Thank you for your review! We are glad to have you back with us after so many years, and we are sorry that the experience did not match the last time. Many of the tracks are shared by locals and other businesses, so with use the tracks can get bumpy between grooming. We are actively looking to improve the track conditions together with the local authorities, so that next season will be better than ever. Hopefully we will see you then!

If you want to spend a lot of money for being squeezed into a group of 50 people, crawling for 15-20 minutes (driving 10-15 km/h) in circular route near airport with high light pollution than you are welcomed. You will start in a late waiting for them to namecheck all the people and find the snowmobile keys after the crawling I mentioned THE BBQ !!!! they will just bring you to some place with camp fire where they will pour syrup with berries flavor into cattle with water and heat it on campfire telling you “it’s a Finnish national fruit juice” and put some pork sausages they bought in a nearest supermarket which will be covered in paper and served to you (one for each person) during the “camping” which lasts about 1.5 hours (after all they need to justify the reason why they wrote 3 hours activity duration). The guide will tell you funny jokes about how is it normal to see a person with knife in Lapland because people hunt here and etc. and than you will return to the Santa-clause village. and yes the real activity will start late because they need to dress all the 50 people in your group to put at least 2 on one snowmobile (if you are alone they will attach a random person to you). And tell you story like “yesterday the weather was also terrible but we DID SAW aurora !!” Just you won’t loose any hope (I guess they tell that story today about oue group) of course there is no chance you will see any aurora in location like “near airport”.
I RECOMMEND TO SPEND MONEY ON SOME OTHER ACTIVITY because it’s a very high price from 15 minutes driving for person and sausage and water with flavor syrup.

We are sorry your experience with us didn’t go as expected. The Christmas and New Year holidays is a very busy time of year, and many people want to go snowmobiling. Although we instructed our guides to split the groups so there are not so many snowmobiles in the line and in our Kota at the same time, we are deeply sorry they didn’t on that day, it shouldn’t happen again.
The grilled sausages and warm berry juice is the food every Finnish person eats when they go to the wilderness. Finnish people also go to the local supermarket… The lookout next to the airport is mostly for the time of the bbq, the tour goes that before or after, guides will take you driving through swamps where it is dark if the track there is covered with enough snow. Although, we have seen many incredible Northern Lights at this location. Unfortunately, important solar activity is also needed to see the auroras, which is not every night, or sometimes, only during some parts of the night, and hard to predict in advance. We wish we could press a button to make them appear. Even on a cloudy night, a break in the cloud is possible and northern lights can be seen. 15 minutes total driving sounds impossible. It usually takes at least 30 minutes each way.

Incredible experience with top guides!
Could not see the lights but the ride and the bbq made up for it

Well.. it should have been a nice experience if the tour guide gave us the winter clothes( overalls). Even though its included in the tour and we specifically asked for them, the blond guide( dont know his name) said " its a warm night so you dont need the overalls we provide. Well, it was extremely windy, -2 and the real feel was -12. I even mentioned but no its a nice night he said. So after that we took a 30 or 40km ride on the snowmobile in that wind and cold. Finally got to the frozen lake where they set up fire. Then i came to a point where i almost froze. So i told the guides and they had to cut the tour short to take us( everyone) back. Didn't see the lights. So it would have been a nice experience if we were given the warm clothes and were mentioned about the total of 80km ride.

We are terribly sorry your activity turned out this way. It is always the customers decision to wear the winter gears or not, but the guide should never have told you it was a warm night. We know everyone feels the cold in a different way. Thank you for your feedbacks, we have been even more careful with the training of our guides this year and have installed a very strict policy to always suggest to wear the winter equipment which is included in all of our tours.

Nice snowmobile tour. We haven’t seen the aurora but even then it was a nice tour. We started in the light and ended in the dark.

We had a nice trip, a little waiting around in the beginning however once we were off we sped through the countryside enjoying the beautiful scenery, nice young tour guides not a lot of interaction from them however that suited us , sadly we didn’t see the lights which couldn’t be helped, very bumpy mobile on the way out changed on the way back and had a smoother ride, children given plenty of fur and were happy. Got back around midnight but the office were happy to call us a taxi and let us wait in the warm.

All of our 3 guides were amazing and we had a great time on the snowmobiling tour. The 3 guides handled everyone very well and worked extremely hard to keep everyone happy. This would have been a 5 star rating…the only thing that could have been better would have been a smaller group. Viator’s site said 15 max but we had at least 25. It was not a problem on the snowmobile but in the little BBQ cabin it was jam packed. We took off a little later than expected due to some shuffling of sleighs to carry children (the company was expecting mostly adults and 3 kids but instead 3 kids turned into 9 adding some extra time as kids can’t drive a snowmobile on this tour…some lady presumably the owner apologized for the confusion stating she would be getting with Viator to see why some kids were showing as adults) but we were not rushed back and actually had a much longer tour which was ok with us. I just can’t say enough about our 3 young guides…they handled everything professionally and never lost their cool and made extra sure everyone was attended too. The logistics and keeping 25 adults and kids happy is a large task but these 3 guides made it absolutely memorable for us!!

Out guide was really nice and helpful, we saw some beautiful lights and ate delicious sausages in a traditional Finnish Hut over fire. Amazing night!
