Overview

With vineyards aplenty in Croatia’s Istria region, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed if you want to plan a wine tasting. This small-group tour puts the itinerary in the hands of a local guide, giving you more time to focus on the region and its wine instead. You’ll visit three carefully selected Istria wine estates to sample their produce, and then finish on a high note with an early 4-course dinner.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

I can’t imagine a better wine tour. Augie (I’m not sure how to spell her name) picked three very nice wineries, a visit to an art community, and a wonderful local place for lunch. She shares interesting information all along the way. We had a great day.

Agnieszka was an amazing tour guide. She offered us a locals insight into the history and culture of Croatia. The day started off seamlessly as she picked us up right at the edge of old town Rovinj where we were staying. The entire day was well thought out with the 3 beautiful and tasty wineries we visited. We especially appreciated taking a quick break in between wineries to take in views from an old town located on the hilltops of Istria, as well as an early dinner at a local family run restaurant that is popular among locals. This was among the highlights of my wife and I’s trip. We will be recommending this tour as a must do for all of our friends and family visiting Istria!

A Spectacular Day in Istria

What an amazing day! Our guide was fun, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Each element of the day was carefully chosen and helped better understand the food, wine, and culture of Istria. Each winery was distinct, giving us a range of experiences. The late afternoon lunch was over-the-top delicious. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

Fabulous Istria Wine Tour

My husband and I visited Rovinj for the first time this past week and were eager to see the Istrian countryside and wineries. We have had many wonderful tours in the past through Viator so we researched again and were so lucky to find the Wine Tour the Best of istria hosted by Agnieszka. It was an incredible day, Agnieszka or Agi for short, picked us up near our hotel and we were off to explore the beautiful wine region. Throughout the entire day she showed us so many beautiful sights in Istria, explained the history and was very knowledgeable about the wines and cultures in this region. We visited 3 incredible wineries, toured their cellars and tasted many of their wines including delicious local foods along the way. In the late afternoon she brought us to a beautiful restaurant specializing in local dishes with truffles for an incredible early evening meal. We ended the day at a gorgeous winery with views to the sea, it was an incredible day with a very engaging, lovely tour guide. We fell in love with Agi and her beautiful Istrian home. We plan to return next summer and plan to tour again with her again learning about truffles, olive oil and more wine. We highly recommend this tour, it was a full 10 hours and fabulous!
