      Worth it!! Definitely recommend going to the Muir Woods first as it was still calm and not full of people. The whole park was absolutely breathtaking as were the views on the drive there and back. Sausalito was adorable with enough time to grab some lunch. The Alcatraz experience was informative and captivating with the most incredible views. William was a great guide! He was friendly, informative and had lots of great recommendations.

      Dustin did an excellent job narrating the tour to the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, and Sausalito. Alcatraz was self-guided. Overall, this tour makes for a great day and you can be back to your hotel just before dinner!

      Our guide Dustin was very knowledgeable and made sure we were all happy and got to see the highlights of San Francisco. Weather wasn't the best, but despite of that, the tour was amazing! Especially Alcatraz and Muir woods were worth seeing!

      i had a great time. This was in April of 2023. The guild did a wonderful job. Met some interesting people in our group. Also had the best Mexican food ever in Sausalito. Would do it all over again.

      The tour is not bad as a combination but the tour operates does nothing but drive you to the 3 different locations and nothing more. Of course he does gives his spiel about San Fransisco b it nothing that is educational or big news to you. However, the tour driver repeatedly talks about our duty to tip brim and almost harasses the clients even admonishing loudly if the amount that is tipped is less than $20 each. he even stops b y a ATM mentioning that he does not want people giving excuse like ‘I don’t have. Change’. Really terrible behaviour. Tips need to be earned and not bullied pout of you.

      The website and the tickets said 8.30 start with a note saying please try to be 15 mins early. At 8.17 I received a text when we were 2 minutes away saying where are you, we should have left at 8.15. If 8.15 is the departure time you need to say that. We went to Muir woods which I thought was the highlight of the trip but we’re only given an hour to explore, not enough. Arrived at Pier 33 for the Alcatraz trip but we’re 2 tickets short for the group. So on the whole wouldn’t recommend.

      The tour guide was great I loved his dry sense of humour and he entertained us and kept us informed. The trip itself was great, pickup and then a drive through the city over the Golden Gate Bridge, stopping for a quick photo at a viewpoint of the bridge before heading into the woods and then later Sausalito. The Alcatraz boat trip and island visit was awesome.

      Alcatraz and Muir woods were very interesting and inspiring. Saucilito didn't have much to see. Our tour leader, Judith, was a good driver but a bad guide. Her commentaries were delivered in a combination of whispering and mumbling and was very hard to understand, even after I mentioned this to her.

      Great experience. Alcatraz and Muir Woods was as expected. Sausalito was nice, but more of a food place and the timing was off for a meal. At the suggestion of our guide Randall, who was awesome, we had Lapperts ice cream and coffee.

      Everything went very smooth on this excursion. The self-guided tour of Alcatraz was very interesting. The van for the second half of the tour to Muir Woods and Sausalito was right on time. Our driver/tour guide Roman was great. Very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. He took us to several off the beaten track locations to enhance our day. I would highly recommend this excursion.

      A good way to see muir woods and sausalito

      This is a good tour to see Muir Woods and Sausalito. Our guide was knowledgeable and maintained a steady commentary during the driving portions of the tour. He also shared tips on the best places to eat in Sausalito without recommending any in particular - pointing us to a great little bakery. This tour is a good option to see Alcatraz in the busier months if you haven't pre-booked, but as the guide simply sends one member of the group a QR code (must have a US phone number) and drops you off at Pier 33 (for the 1pm boat) this activity really is just an "add on". The group needs to stay together through all the checkpoints at Pier 33 - something that wasn't made super clear by the guide who only mentioned the first checkpoint. Fortunately we all stuck together in any event but the group behind us wasn't so organised and consequently had problems at the second checkpoint. This part of the tour could definitely be improved - either through providing individual tickets, or a group escort through ticketing. The timing at each location was good and you can easily do the 3 activities in one day. The tour officially ends with the drop off at Pier 33 allowing you to stay at Alcatraz as long as you like. We were staying near Union Square and found the pickup location an easy (if uphill) walk from our Hotel. And we were able to take the cable car back to Union Square knocking off another San Francisco must do.

      Great Tour and Great Tour Guide! Worth the money!

      Our tour guide, Ben, was wonderful. We were picked up at our starting point and given lots of information on our way to each destination. The trip to Muir Woods, Sausalito, and Alcatraz was wonderful and I highly recommend booking your trip with Ben to see all three places. The hiking trail at Muir Woods was perfect - especially since it was flat and very peaceful. Take a jacket and camera. Lunch and shopping in Sausalito was fabulous! Ben's recommendations for the deli and ice cream afterwards were outstanding! And the view of the bay was beautiful. Easy walking there, too. Alcatraz is very interesting and you can stay as long as you want. After riding the ferry back, it is an easy walk to Fisherman's Warf to eat dinner, shop, or enjoy a variety of activities before catching a cab or streetcar back to Union Square or your hotel. There is a lot of parking available across the street from Fisherman's Warf at Pier PIER 39 GARAGE, Beach St &, Stockton St, San Francisco, CA 94133.
