Overview

Combine a trip to El Yunque with some beach time at Luquillo with this group tour. You'll start in El Yunque, where you'll take a walk out through the forest and get the chance to swim in crystalline rivers. You'll then continue to Luquillo, where you can slide down a natural waterslide at Las Paylas and spend time at the local beach before returning to San Juan.

What To Expect

Discover the natural beauty of Puerto Rico on this full-day tour from San Juan that combines El Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo Beach.

Your day starts with pickup from your San Juan hotel or accommodations by air-conditioned vehicle. Soak up the scenery during your drive through El Yunque National Park to a private access point on the Rio Pitahaya.

After a moderate 15- to 20-minute walk along a trail, you’ll reach Las Paylas, a natural playground with a waterfall, two waterslides, natural pool, and a cave, where you can be as adventurous as you want to be.

Afterwards, head to Luquillo Beach and Los Kioskos, where you can shop for souvenirs, refuel with food and drinks (all own expense), relax on the beach, and enjoy the ambience before returning to San Juan.

  • The total duration of the tour from pickup to drop off is 6 - 8 hours depending on pickup location, traffic, and the pace of the group. . For the 10:30 am tour expect to return 4:30-5:30 pm. For the 12:30 pm tour expect to return 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
  • This adventure does not enter the ticketed section of El Yunque National Forest, managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Guests will not be required to purchase additional tickets.
  • This adventure does not make the 2 hour hike to the peak or towers as that trail may not be suitable for all of our guests.
  • The minimum age to attend this tour is 4 years old. Guests who are not 4 years old or older will not be permitted to attend the tour and will forfeit any cost associated with their ticket.
  • The nature walk is a moderate walk through the natural terrain of El Yunque. When there is rain in the rainforest, the trail can become muddy and the walk will be more challenging. We recommend travelers wear a bathing suit under comfortable clothes, a pair of shoes you don't mind getting wet with a pair of sandals or water shoes to change into, and a towel to dry off.
  • Guest will be able to leave belongings on the bus. The tour provider will not be held responsible for items or belongings lost or damaged during this adventure
  • El Yunque Rainforest is monitored by the Puerto Rican Government. If conditions become hazardous and a portion of El Yunque is closed to preserve the safety of guests, the tour provider will extend the time at Luquillo Beach and Los Kioskos.
  • Not recommended for elderly travelers or guests in poor physical condition.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

El Yunque tour was so much fun! The waterslides, the nature trails, the beaches and the food were amazing! The tour guide Bryant was so entertaining and made the tour even better. I would definitely recommend!!!

Our tour guy Luis did an amazing job! He took care of us and made sure we were as safe as we could be during our tour. That meant a lot to my husband and I. Amazing Experience

Highly recommend this tour over others to El Yunque! Bryant picked us up on time, told us stories about the island, and gave us a run through of our day. Before we got to the forest we stopped by a fruit stand that had little souvenirs, and got a tasty and refreshing smoothie. Once we got to the forest, you could tell Bryant's top priorities were our safety and our fun! We slid down 2 waterslides and had plenty of time to go down the slides again or chill in the rivers. Afterwards, we headed to Luquillo Beach for lunch on our own and time on the beach. Throughout the experience, Bryant was communicative and patient, and you can tell he is passionate about what he does!

The water slides in the forest were so much fun. The water was warm yet refreshing. The beach and restaurants at Loquillo were fantastic. So many restaurants to choose from. I am guess because it was a Saturday, the beach was very crowded. Our guide/driver Bryant was upbeat, fun and very knowledgeable. He even arrived early to pick us up. Something we had not experienced in San Juan yet! Bryant was also good at getting a bus full of strangers to gel and interact with one an other. We lucked out with the perfect weather. Not a drop of rain all day!

I enjoyed time with my fiancé and the beach but our van broke down and we had to switch vehicles. Our guide didn’t take photos and informed us they works and for us to leave our phones in the van.

Had a great tour of the El Yunque Rainforest. Our guide David was awesome. Knowledgeable, funny and very engaging with all the passengers. The communications between Caribbean Breeze and myself was excellent. They texted and called to ensure my family was well prepared so we'd have a fun time. Our pickup spot was Frutera Flores. Delicious smoothies. Highly recommend one of the tours they offer.

First awesome trip

Our tour guys were awesome especially Emanuel he is a very funny guy he kept Us laughing and entertained. This was my first hike and definitely after this experience will be doing alot more. The first stop: the food was delicious and had little knick knacks, the second Stop was the hike and two waterslides off the rocks, which was pretty cool and a beautiful scenery the third stop and last was the beach. We got to spend two hours there and there was plenty of places to eat. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you tour Guys ! you were awesome!!!

Too expensive. No value for money

We were a family and friends of 10 along with kids. We liked the Rainforest water slides but there was just 5 min hiking of the rainforest. we really couldn't enjoy the rainforest. This tour does not showcase the beauty of the Rainforest. This tour is merely a tour of the water slides only.. Yes the waterslides are worthy but paying so much per person to just get tour of the waterslides is not value for money.. they took us to beach after that in broad day light when the temperature are souring high you just cant enjoy the beach so all in all its really not worth to spend money on this. I would try to go to rainforest on a tour who can take to explore the forest show us the various species of the forest.

El Yunque was gorgeous and lots of fun. But beware this was not a casual hike! Weather cooperated and we got to sit on Luquillo Beach a few hours. Our guides Ryan and Rafi were lots of fun and really made this outing a great experience!

Great Guide, Dirty and Dangerous Activities

The transportation was on time and comfortable. The waterslides are dangerous (especially the taller one), crowded with cigarettes and glass all over the ground. Our guide was very cautious and helpful, but still people in my group left with bruises. Luquillo beach was nice, but it was also very crowded and dirty (cut my foot and trash everywhere). Overall the tour and guide were great, the places were just very very dirty.
