If you are in other municipalities such as San Juan La Laguna or San Maros La Laguna, we can pick you up at the meeting point or at the center of each town as well as we could also pick you and your companion up if there is vehicle access at your hotel. In these following locations we only pick up with an extra private boat cost: Panajachel, Santa Cuz, Jaibalito, Santa Catarina, San Antonio, San Lucas, Santiago Atitlán

Vick is the best tour guide

10/10!!! Vick was prompt when picking me up from where I was staying on San Juan La Laguna. His communication and English is perfect. The van that took us to/from was comfortable and the driver was great. Vick had extra headlamps which were really necessary on this hike. It seemed like we were the first ones to start hiking which gave me the extra time I needed to get to the top. It took me 55 minutes (it's a steep incline and has lots of steps) to get to the top. There were other tours that came along behind us which was great because Vick was able to go with the others that were on my tour and secure the perfect spot on the mountain while I took my time. This was after he asked if I was comfortable with that which I was since everyone was friendly on this hike. He came back down to make sure I was ok and then we hiked to the top together. I saw the most amazing red sun surrounded by volcanoes. For reference I am 45 years old, average weight, and in pretty good health and hike a little during the summer.

We had an amazing time on this tour. Vick was very communicative and even brought us bananas and apples when I told him I was having a hard time finding breakfast for the next morning and was worried about getting hungry on the hike! So sweet and a great experience.

Unforgettable sunrise hike

Our hike up to Indian Nose was magical! Watching the sunrise over Lake Atitlán was unforgettable. It was the personal touches that made the experience extra special. Vick, our guide, shared tons of information about the surrounding towns, volcanos, local traditions, and coffee/avocado growing industries. Lastly, the hot coffee and sweet bread at the top was such a thoughtful touch that made this experience extra memorable.

I reached out to Victor to make sure we could get a ride from our Airbnb and he said he’d pick us up. This was a few days prior. The morning of the hike my husband wasn’t feeling good and actually ended up puking. So I ended up texting Victor explaining we needed to cancel. He said he understood and asked us if we wanted a private tour of San Juan later that day since we already paid. We took him up on that! He walked us around the city. He was very knowledgeable and was so kind!

Hot cocoa & a very early morning workout

If there is one thing you do in Lake Atitlan, make it this hike. The hike was a bit harder than expected honestly, but it could just be because we did a really hard hike the day before. They provided headlamps for us because we did not bring our own, but they were absolutely necessary as it was pitch black when we started the hike. Our guide was wonderfully patient if anyone in our group needed to stop for a break, he left no one behind. Once at the top, they offered coffee or hot cocoa- get the hot cocoa. It’s part of the experience!! A lot of people go for the amazing Instagram pictures but whether you are there for Instagram or just to experience, this sunrise hike will heal you and have you feeling all sorts of amazing things!! Loved it

Amazing experience! Vick was a great guide, he was extremely knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts song the journey. He was prompt and so very kind. We were able to start our hike a bit earlier than others so we got great seats for the sunrise and were greeted with coffee or hot chocolate and pan dulce. I definitely recommend Vick as your guide!

Such a great experience! I highly recommend booking with Victor, especially if you are not a big hiker but still want to see this magical sight. This is a private tour so just you/your group and the guide. If you need to take breaks, it’s fine, you’re not holding anyone else up. Victor was very knowledgeable and told us all about Guatemala throughout the journey. My husband and I are not fit, but we did it and lived it!

Memorable hike with view of the lake and volcanos

Difficult but fun experience

Victor was a great guide, very knowledgeable regarding other outdoor activities in Guatemala. Also liked his information about the farming on the hike back down. He allowed me and my cousin to take breaks during the hike-- it's hard!! For the average person it is difficult don't be fooled by the reviews that say otherwise. Be careful of mud, it gets slippery. Also I hope you are able to enjoy the view, we weren't able to because of the clouds. But still a fun and exciting experience, would try again when I return :)

Challenging hike but worth it!

This was a great hike! It was a bit challenging and steep but the views made it worth it. Our guide Victor was very insightful and gave us great information about the surrounding towns. We were greeted with hot chocolate and a lot of clouds but once the sun came out everything cleared out and we got a great view of the nearby volcanoes.
