What To Expect

This Mt Rainier day trip begins with a convenient hotel pickup in Seattle or near the SeaTac Airport. Then prepare for a narrated, scenic drive featuring Alder Lake Park and the town of Eatonville at the foothills of Mt Rainier.

Stop at Longmire, the visitor center at the southwest corner of the park, to explore their museum and National Park Inn. Visit Christine Falls, with one of the signature views in Mt Rainier National Park (look for the bridge). Then walk along the Nisqually River up to Narada Falls, considered the most popular waterfall in Mt Rainier State Park. It’s taller than Niagara Falls at 188 feet.

Then it’s off to the pinnacle event of the day: the view at Paradise, which is 5,400 feet above sea level. Purchase lunch here and take in the incredible view of Mt Rainier and the valley below. Be on the lookout for wildlife wandering around the mountain at any time.

During the wintertime, choose from an optional snowshoe or sled adventure, if conditions allow. During the summertime, simply enjoy the scene at Reflection Lake, which provides one of the most iconic views of Mt Rainier. It’s absolutely stunning. Be sure to bring a camera.

Finally, visit the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center at Paradise to learn more about the history of Mt Rainier, including a brief film about it.

Then it’s back down the mountain to hit the road back to Seattle.

Tour was very well organized. The small group experience was perfect. Spectacular scenery despite not so perfect weather. James our tour guide was excellent and very accommodating. We even had a opportunity to try snowshoes when we were in paradise. We would recommend this tour to anyone that had a free day in Seattle.

Our guide Joe was a fountain of information with a humorous delivery. We were able to stop for bathroom breaks and we stopped at the grocery.
Best experience in Seattle!
Aiswarya_S, Mar 2024
The trip was fantastic! Our guide, Lucas, proved to be extremely knowledgeable about the area, accommodating our requests and offering assistance whenever possible. The team came well-prepared with microspikes and snowshoes in various sizes, ensuring everyone's comfort. The van was clean and comfortable, adding to the overall enjoyment of the tour. I particularly loved witnessing my first snowfall during the excursion. Although some spots like Reflection Lake were closed due to winter conditions, it only gave me more reasons to return. I highly recommend this experience to everyone, regardless of the season, as the team always finds something enjoyable for all participants!
Well worth the money
Joel_H, Mar 2024
Lucas, the tour guide, was funny and informative, very passionate about Seattle and the community. Beautiful views.
Fantastic views with a great guide
Jerlyn_L, Mar 2024
We had a fulfilling experience with our tour guide Lucas, who shared many interesting facts and tips along the way. He always tries to give us the most out of the trip, based on the weather and visibility that we are going through. Managed to see the beautiful peaks when the clouds lifted, and also experienced a mini blizzard in the same day! It was a long journey but it was comfortable, funny and memorable!
Great time!
Amy_Z, Mar 2024
The content is good, our guide Josh is super thoughtful and humorous! Such a good time! The scenery is good and I will sure come again in July!
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Than you for the review. Unfortunately we do not have a tour guide by the name of Josh, but we are glad you enjoyed your experience and plan on returning in July!

Lucas was a great guide! This was great experience and we lucked out with the beautiful weather. The family had a blast and got to see another national park. Don’t forget to do the junior ranger program for the kids.

Our guide Joe, was very entertaining and knowledgeable throughout the day, despite the upper observation area being closed. Still had a great time.

Waterfalls and snow experience on the majestic Rainier.
Alan_T, Mar 2024
Lucas was great! He gave us some options within the scope of the tour, whether you want to tough it out on a vigorous hike in a “blizzard” or be lazy in a visitor center. Knowledgable about the area with funny jokes on the long drive.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
It's nice to have options. Thank you for providing Lucas with a review and touring with us. We are glad you enjoyed our tour.

Ana_C, Mar 2024
This trip was an amazing experience. We were able to witness snow, use spikes or snowshoes (not snow boots; snow shoes are used on top of snow boots or shoes) provided by Joe our tour guide, visit a gift shop, stop at the Mt. Rainier sign, hike and listen to facts and history, stop at a cafe, and much more. Note: It is important to wear snow gear! It can get very cold.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your experience and felt it was amazing. Great advise. It is very cold and the proper clothing and shoes is important. Please let us know if there was something we could have done differently to have received a 5* review.

Great Experience
Donielle_W, Mar 2024
This was a great way to spend the one day I had in Seattle. The hotel pickup was nice and our guide Lucas was very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about Washington’s geography and the park. We did a couple short walks together as a group and then had free time to do what we wanted. We chose to do a hike to a log bridge which offered beautiful views. We didn’t see the mountain until we were on the way home but it was still an awesome experience. Make sure to wear hiking/snow boots and dress in layers.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Thank you for choosing to take our tour. We are glad you enjoyed your day spent with Lucas exploring and learning about Washington and the Park. Great advice about what to wear. We appreciate your review.
I will not recommend to go with group
Asha_B, Mar 2024
I booked this trip recently and Despite adhering to the 24-hour cancellation policy for the Rainier Trip and attempting to cancel within the specified timeframe, a mere 15-minute delay led to my refund request falling into the next bracket. Despite multiple attempts through WhatsApp and a follow-up call the next day, the operator's rude behavior, including abruptly disconnecting my call, left me feeling extremely uneasy about proceeding with this group. Regrettably, I lost my money, and the blatant disregard for customer service raises serious concerns about their reliability and integrity.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Unfortunately our policy and guidelines are strict, I am sorry to hear you tried to cancel less than 24 hours and were not refunded. WhatsApp is not a confirmed form of communication with our company. Our main form of communication is through phone calls and emails. If you can provide the operators name I am happy to discuss the behavior you are mentioning as our staff is very friendly so this is shocking. We wish you the best in your next tours in Seattle.
This was the best tour I...
