What To Expect

Be ready for an early pickup from your hotel so you can catch the public fast boat from Sanur Beach: After check-in and registration, the journey takes about 30 minutes.

On arrival at the port on Nusa Penida, your private local driver will greet you and escort you to two dramatic rock formations: Broken Beach (Pasih Uug Beach) and Angel’s Billabong. Broken Beach is a perfect circle of cliffs fractured by a sea arch; Angel’s Billabong is a natural infinity pool.

Continue to Kelingking Beach to photograph Nusa Penida’s most-Instagrammed spot, a spine of lush green cliff shearing away to a golden sandy beach.

After a break for an included lunch and a swim among the pristine corals of beautiful Crystal Bay, your chauffeur drops you back at the port in good time for your return boat. Another driver will meet you at Sanur and bring you back to your hotel.

Don't waste your time

I wouldn't waste your time and money with this trip. You spend the majority of the time driving on roads that are more potholes than road and waiting to take a few pictures. Whatever you do don't let the guide talk you into changing your schedule. Our guide Kass said it would be better to go to a more private beach club than the final beach location. It sounded nice until the club ended up being the one right next to the boat dock. There was little to no beach there and a good amount of trash on the beach. He clearly wanted to save time by skipping the last stop and end right next to the docks at the expense of our experience with the tour.

This trip could've been outstanding, however, our tour guide in Nusa Penida, Gigi, was not our favorite. He told us he does this tour daily and it appeared that he was over it. It was extremely hot and he walked the bumpy terrain fast, without providing information on any of the locations. He would point us in the direction of the popular location for pictures then ask if we were finished and ready to go. At rhe end, we were able to relax and cool off at the Beach Club. We rented a cabana and having a good time. Instead of asking what time we wanted to leave, he took our ticket and purchased the return boat ride back. He told us to relax and enjoy oursves, however, 15 minutes later he was waving at us saying it's time to catch the boat. We were overpriced for the Bintang beer on board and told him. He agreed and said he would talk to the people, which h he never did. We would like a repeat of the tour with one of the many gracious, informative, and polite guides we've experienced on our trip, until this one.

We didn’t get to see crystal bay. The ride was bumpy and the guide was unhelpful. Only enjoyable part was the boat ride to the island. But you can get that much cheaper else where.

The drivers were great but I did not know the roads were very poor and winding. Made me not feel feel plus all locations were over 1 1/2 hours to get to. Then it was a steep set of many stairs to get to see. Not a great trip for older people.

A great landscape seeking experience.

This was an amazing experience to witness the true beatify of the Balinese landscape. All spots listed on the experience were breath taking and thankful the weather conditions were great. Before boarding the ferry (really a commercial speed boat), you are dropped off at a cafe for optional breakfast. Restrooms nearby for a fee. The only qualm that I had about this experience was the volume of tourists at all the sites. Everywhere was crowded and it was hard to find a good picture taking spots. Frequently I found myself bumping into other people. What astonished me the most is that it was the wet season, so I wouldn't want to be here during the summer months. Also, the restaurant that provided lunch had meals in essentially children's menu proportion, which didn't bother my group. However if you are naturally hungry, I strongly recommend bringing additional snacks or more food. I am overall very glad that I went to this experience and I think that it was well priced.

Very good snorkeling trip. Highly recommended. Let me provide some tips. The pickup was at 7 am from the hotel. Took 45 minutes to reach the harbor. The boat began moving at 9:22 am. While we waited, we had time to order breakfast, coffee, and go to toilet. I'm writing this because we were worrying about breakfast. 7 am pickup was too early to eat breakfast at the hotel. So you don't need to worry. You can eat breakfast while waiting at the harbor. We went to 4 snorkeling spots. I think 2 would be enough. But they probably want to include 4 to make the tour impressive. Snorkeling option did not go to the beaches. The included lunch was very basic although you could order additional items. The trip was organized so that a designated driver took us to good viewing spots after lunch. Our driver was very helpful, took some good pictures. I wanted to try coconut, he picked one for me. Omg it was the best coconut I had. Juice is sweet and the meat was so delicious. The ferry was fast. Try to sit below. We sat at the top one trip. Music was so loud. People were smoking. All in all it was a long day. But the have to say Nusa PENIDA is a must go. Thats why you'll see so many people at the harbor.

We had nice day on Nusa Penida Island. Our tour guide was Kass and he was very nice. He helped us to take a lot of pictures of us, because he knew the right places. We were first driven to the port, where we had time to take breakfast before boarding the speedboat. On the Island we stopped at Paluang Cliff & Klingking Beach and then we were driven to Angel's Billabong & Broken Beach. We had a great lunch then and finally we could swim and rest on the beautifull Virgin Beach, which was our last stop. We have spent nice day on Nusa Penida and thaks to our tour guide Kass we will always remember this tour.

This is a full on day from taking the ferry to and from Nusa Penida you will be tired lol. 5 stars go to the guide Gede Askara for being very helpful and accommodating with his in depth knowledge of Nusa Penida and all the tricks about where to go to see the best sights and get the best pics as well as the Mangku ash team. The snorkeling experience on the other hand wasn’t the best tho- didn’t seem like a big regard for safety in general and not too helpful.

Reference # My name is Lourdes Garcia I booked tour October 25th for Nusa penida all day for 5 adults . I need to do complain how disappointing and dangerous was our tour. I will give you some details how was : 1- pick up from hotel driving to Port The speeding driving almost we got in accident driving in the middle of the road and zigzag between lanes. Arriving take us to table to wait to take boat. 2- his name was kama the tour guy, he only say to us : "the names we are visiting in the islan and if you have questions ask me" that's all interaction we had. He will not give us any explanatory of the island not even ask our names "nothing !". 3- the tour guy " his name is Kama" driving crazy and very dangerous racing with other driver " tour guys" my aunt and I we got sick from the drive when we can even walk to see the spots of the island. 4- the car was dirty with fleas and the front seat was wobbly until almost the end the driver notes and adjusted but at the mean time was sickness to seat there. The back seats was broken too and my family has to jump to get to the seat. We understand the culture and the driving in bali but we had tour guy driver in Ubud and we had phenomenal experience taking care of the passengers and explaining the tour. It not my first time taking Viator tour and I always purchased your tours when I travel because is satisfactory and I enjoy it. I think you should check this company " MANKGU" that you are affiliate how they doing the tour its really bad . After 3 hours we ask to go back to the boat it was not worth it for the stresfull moments that me and my family had in this tour also waist of money we do not enjoy this tour at all and ruin our vacation day at nusa penida. Snorkeling in many locations, everything covered (fees, taxis, etc). All the transfers were smooth, the drivers were friendly and helpful, and the Island was lovely. The ferry played fun music on the roof deck. Great! :)
