My sister and I visited the Sequoia National Park to celebrate her birthday. Krista was so amazing. Her knowledge of all thing Sequoia made all the difference in our experience. Her energy just made the day and excursion move in such a spectacular way. She also understood our lack of this type of activity and adjusted accordingly throughout the day. Krista gave us the quintessential tour of the Giant Forest Grove. She is a trained Environmentalist and discussed the flora, fauna, geology, and history of these giant Sequoias and the forest that is their home. You would miss 90% of the importance of this ecosystem if you just “toured on your own.” To say this tour is a MUST is putting it mildly. With Krista’s knowledge, good humor, and unending patience, she made our trip through the Sequoias one to remember.

This was amazing. We hiked the Sherman Tree and the Crescent Meadows with Krista. She knew every plant and seed we asked about. She had a wealth of knowledge on the history and native American heritage of the area. Pointed out the Chicoree or Douglas Squirrel native to the region. Who knew. Krista walked at a pace a couple of elderly could keep up with. Totally worth the price. There is so much more to learn when you hike with a guide. A perfect day.

I would like to start by saying that I never take the time to write reviews. But in this case, our Sequoia National Park experience deserves a 10 star rating, if that were possible. Krista was an excellent private guide. Her knowledge, personality, preparation and connection to the forest made it a fully immersive, educational, interesting and exciting experience. Everything we could have hoped for and more. We feel our decision to go with a private guide versus one of the larger group tours was the ideal way to experience Sequoia National Park. Experiencing what is very well a once in a lifetime experience at your own pace, through the optics and understanding of private guide Krista is not to be missed.
