Experience and lunch was amazing! Our driver Mr Dustin had a lots of knowledge of the tour and help to explain and answer any questions that we might have had. If anyone would like to see and get a good experience of the Smoky Mountains this is the trip we would recommend. Amazing!!!

Pam was our guide and she was amazing. I have been to the Smokies multiple times. She showed us so much more. It was a great tour.
Beautiful views, nice history lessons.

The views were lovely. Elvira’s was delicious. Our guide was well steeped in the history of the surrounding area. It was a little slow for an 11-year-old, but we got to see a lot of things we would not have known about otherwise.
A good tour but not what was advertised

If you are ever in Pigeon Forge and have a free day, you won’t want to miss this tour. Our tour guide was wonderful, humorous and very informative with the history, the culture, the geography, politics and folklore as well. I really can’t say enough about the day trip with him. The van that we traveled in was excellent and lithe restaurant was a fun place that was not just a name brand, but a local eatery. He stopped often for photos and views of the magnificent Appalachian Mountains as well. A great tour and lots of fun for any age!

Dustin was a great tour guide, and brought Pam along for the ride, who we had toured with the day before to Cade's Cove. We were with another couple our friends, and once again were the only tourists on the van. It was a great day - not rushed seeing and learning about the town of Gatlinburg stopping for great sights, shopping and lunch and seeing the amazingly beautiful Smokies. Learning about the mountains, the establishment of the national park and the people of the area was a wonderful way to spend the day. A must!

The driver was 15-minutes late. He said he had been waiting in line for gas. Our first stop was for lunch around 10:45 AM at a restaurant out on some highway. It had only been a couple of hours since my husband and I had finished breakfast so he and I sat on the porch waiting another 45-minutes or so to take the tour. From the restaurant we were taken to a coffee shop. This took another half-hour for everyone to get off, order a drink, and then return to the van. Then we left for a tour of an old train depot that wasnt even open on that day so we were only allowed to walk around the grounds and look at what was outside. Then we went to an old part of town to a shopping area and wasted a lot more time. When we finally got on the tour it consisted of him pointing sites out and telling us a little about them and then informing us it would be worth coming back to visit if we had a vehicle And, most of the time in the van was spent listening to his stories about growing up in those parts. He was a very nice man, but I was interested in learning about the area and seeing sites I might ordinarily miss on my own but that did not happen. This was the worse tour I had ever been on and it cost 100 for each of the two of us. We both felt like we were taken advantage of.

Getting fuel is important, we don't want to run out while on tour. Everyday consists of a safety check, walk around, refueling, and cleaning. Sometimes there can be slight delays but that is very very rare. More often than not I am waiting on passengers who are running late but I never complain because I understand things happen. We didn't just stop at "some restaurant on some highway" we stopped at Elvira's, one of the best reviewed local restaurants in the Smoky Mountains. People can wait upwards of 45 minutes just to get a seat to dine there but our passengers rarely have to wait more than a couple minutes when we visit. Lunch is included on the tour and if you opted to miss out and sit on the porch there's little I can do about that. We generally stop for lunch at 12 noon though, the route won't even allow us to be there at 10:30. We go from Pigeon Forge through Gatlinburg up to the top of the mountain and back down past Elkmont through Metcalf bottoms into Wears Valley. That takes about 4 hours if you include the 30 min stop at the top of the mountain. The stories I tell on my tours are those passed down to me from 7 generations of family who have lived in the Smoky Mountains, im sorry if they were not to your liking. If you just came to see sights and didn't want to learn about the history then I recommend putting that money into gas for your own vehicle and doing a self guided tour. The park is the park, it doesn't change very fast, there are no hidden areas that I know that aren't listed for you to see on your own. What I add is knowledge about that area and the people who lived there. Having lived in this area my entire life and having family who's been here since 1803 I know more than most about the history of the area before and after the park was established. We drive over 200 miles on this tour and you only pointed out the bathroom stops and the lunch you refused. This is a bus tour, we do not stop at every area we pass because it would be a 2-3 day tour rather than a 6 hour tour. Most people already think 6 hours is a long time to be on a tour as it is. I'm sorry you were disappointed but I'll keep telling my stories and enjoying lunch at Elvira's.

Worst trip ever. Junk old van dirty windows and an unprofessional tour director who stopped at every small local mountain shop. Complete rip off.

You were on a boat in the Gulf of Mexico when I called you asking if you planned on coming to the tour you booked. Turned out you booked the wrong date so I gladly moved you to the correct date at no charge. I guess that turned out to be a bad idea since you didn't like our bus or anything about the tour. Funny thing is you never mentioned any of this while on tour, you were quite friendly and talkative and asked a lot of questions which I gladly answered. You made no indication of having a poor time on the trip at all. Right up until I read this review I thought you had a wonderful time, you even tipped me well which is not typical of someone who had a bad time. You will be happy to know we cleaned the windows and upgraded the bus. We aren't a big company so we can't replace our busses every year but we do try to make sure all passengers are comfortable and safe in our vehicles. Next time you book a tour double check that you booked the correct date not everyone is kind enough to move you.

We really enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the history of the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. He was a local resident, a 7th generation member of his family from the area, and was able to pass on so much information. We saw a mama bear and her two cubs in the woods, in addition waterfalls, streams and beautiful scenery. We shopped at several local businesses, including a pottery store where we sat and watched an employee spinning vases. It was mesmerizing to watch, we could have sat there for hours. The tour was a lot of fun. We learned a lot and we would highly recommend it.

Everything began as it should we arrived at the visitor center early and so did Dustin the tour guide, after all the other guest arrived we started on our trip. We then started our tour through the Smokies and just before the first stop we noticed high wind and limbs falling into road, we stopped at first stop and was enjoying the beautiful scenery of mountain stream and lush vegetation. About two miles after the first stop we saw a park ranger with help pulling a small tree from road we then proceeded on our way and then saw a much larger tree in road, in just a few minutes the same ranger came up behind us and told us we had to get out of the park pronto. Dustin then had to back the bus at least a mile to find room to turn around. All roads into the smokies were closed and Dustin had to come up with plan B. He backtracked and did the latter part of the plan and then showed us Buffalo, art district etc., being a local he knew every pig path in the area so we had a marvelous trip, I know the original trip would have been great but we had an adventure not a tour. You will be in the most capable of hands with Dustin and he is a great communicator. Best tour I have ever been on and if not in capable hands would have been a disaster.

Good Tour! Destin was our driver and tour guide. He does a good job and he picked a local restaurant we could eat at that had excellent food for lunch! I would recommend this tour for anyone wanted to know the history of the Smoky Mountains.
