David was a great guide, he made the tour very personal! He shared lots of anecdotes that you would miss in a self guided trip.
Fantastic bamboo train
Tunc_B, Apr 2024
Amazing experience around Battambang with bamboo train, bats, caves and beautiful nature. Guide Kim made trip funnier and also he shared useful informations during the trip. I highly recommend this trip.
A day very well spent

A very memorable and unique experience made extra nice by our guide Mr.Kim on his tuktuk. After a quick drive around the mail town, the first and possibly the most unique experience was Bamboo train which I think may be only available in Battambang, Cambodia. Imagine sitting on a train but open on all four sides and open top, close to the tracks and still I don't think we can adequately describe how it felt. Really amazing. Then we saw a suspension bridge. Pretty similar to any other shaky suspension bridge but this one had booked plying on it :). This was followed by fruit bats viewing which Mr.Kim made more interesting by somehow making them all fly around. We then drove through rice fields and fruit trees where the aforementioned bats cone to feed on the evening. We then visited the mountain where there is a mountain top temple and the infamous killing caves where the Khmer rouge killed a lot of people. The final highlight was the viewing of millions of insect eating bats flying out in amazing formations close to sunset for their daily feeding. All in all a long yet eventful and unforgettable day despite the 2-3 hours long drives back and forth from Siem Reap to Battambang. A highly recommended experience.
Kim was the best tour guide ever!

We had a blast riding the bamboo train, visiting temples and seeing a million bats fly across the sky but the best part of all was hearing Kim's stories and experiences of growing up in Cambodia. Kim, was an amazing guide and after the trip one we would love to call our friend.
Wonderful trip and guide.

We stayed at a hotel in Siem Reap and this tour started with a three hour taxi to Battambang where we were then met by a tuk tuk ( Remorque ) driven by Mr Kim for about six hours. The only negative on the whole trip was the transfer to Battambang where the taxi driver repeatedly received and sent text/SMS messages whilst driving until told by me to stop. Completely unacceptable on Cambodia's dangerous roads. Mr Kim was a super guide on his motorbike driven tuk tuk. He was also a super photographer for our travels. He had sound knowledge of the itinerary and willingly shared his families experiences of Cambodia's recent past. The bamboo Train was a highlight, 4km each way with a short stop at a local stall. It was always unhurried and Mr Kim's English was superb. Other highlights were to a swinging bridge, tree of fruit bats and a hilltop shrine/temple. The Killing Cave was harrowing but an essential visit. Lunch superb. 5* review thanks to the itinerary and Mr Kim.
You can’t miss this one in your Siem Reap journey

This is a 14 hour journey in a safe and adventurous setting. Together with our 12 year child, we were welcomed by a smiling and caring driver (Mr Ceae) from our hotel to embark our 2.5hour transport to Battambang, then handed to a TukTuk driver Mr Nani, a local who showed the best hospitality ever, taking pride to introduce the beauty of his hometown and country in understandable English. In a secure, self paced, non intrusive manner we have journeyed scenes across the countryside, from a city tour of brief Siam-French-colonial history in 19th century, a 40mins bamboo train round trip, plantation eco talks on dry season rice, oyster mushrooms, chili, local leafy ingredients, a savory lunch in a local household cafe, walking along a suspension bridge, visiting fruit bats resting on high trees, spectacular panoramic view from vintage ship hill mountains, hisotrical walk about killing cave, and ended by immersing ourselves on a manageable hill with an unbeatable sunset, awaiting millions of inset-reliant bats dashing towards their nocturnal schedules against the dusk of the evening. Uneventfully we were brought back to our hotel around 9.30pm. This for those who wanna observe and experience Khmer daily life is highly recommended.
Great Battambang tour

Great tour with a knowledgeable and passionate guide. Bamboo trail, great landscape. Highly recommended
Excellent historical visit!

Our favorite part of the tour was chatting with our guide, Kim. He shared so many stories about the more recent history, which my mom really enjoyed, having left Cambodia as a teen in 1970. Then we absolutely loved the monkeys on top of the mountain! The killing cave was heartbreaking, but we felt it was important to visit and learn about.
Best of Battambang

Kim’s tour was amazing - full stop. It’s clear that he loves what he does, and that comes through clearly in his interactions with you and local people you meet along the way. He brought us into so many conversations at the market and in the countryside as a translator. All of the named stops on the tour are fantastic experiences, but we enjoyed rambling through the backroads with Kim just as much. Definitely don’t miss booking this tour!!
Fantastic trip. If you are considering it, just book!

We had a fantastic trip with out driver Ru who took us from Siem Reap to Battambang and our guide Kim who then picked us up in his Cambodian tuktuk. Both were excellent and safe drivers. Kim really managed to bring history to life during the tour and recounted tales of real life experiences which was eye opening. All stops on the itinerary were as described and we saw even more things along the way and learned so much. We did not manage to stop at the killing caves and one of the temples unfortunately because we were just enjoying the company and chatting too long. But Kim was fantastic at making sure our trip contained all of the things that were important to us. Don't hesitate to discuss the itinerary in case of delays etc. And have an open mind when it comes to last minute changes. A few tips especially for us ladies, take tissues and hand gel with you for your bathroom breaks, take comfortable shoes and DON'T FORGET MOSQUITO REPELLENT! A scarf or similar is also useful for the trip back to the driver after sunset as open air tuktuk/speed/bugs are a recipe for squashed bugs on the face! It was a very long (and hot) day but we were so well looked after we didn't want it to end. It was fantastic to see authentic Cambodia. Thanks again to Kim and Ru for looking after us and making our trip so memorable!
Amazing experience!

We had an amazing experience all day long. Our tour guide Kim was very well prepared, very kind and knowledgeable. He told us interesting history both about Battambang and Cambodia in general. All the activities included were great. Lunch at a local place was also delicious! We really recommend this tour but especially Kim! He made us feel safe and comfortable and had very very good English! 10/10
A beautiful day with David
Genevieve_L, Sep 2023
We were a little nervous about having such a long drive from Siem Riep but it actually took much less than 3 hours and went very fast. David, our guide, was waiting for us to hop on his tuk tuk to show us Battambang, than the beautiful country surrounding the city. He added a ton of things that were not listed on our itinerary, stopping at a very interesting market wth snakes, frogs and insects, to a mushroom plantation, etc.. Born in a refugee camp from parents that survived the genocide, he can tell you better than anybody about Cambodia's history.. Thank you David for showing us your beautiful country!
Great experience to know everyday Cambodian life
Ambar_C, Jul 2023
We had great experience with bamboo train. See how the train been assembled and how to move if we pass other carriage. Our guide, Nani took us to the countryside where we can see daily Cambodian life (fruits, vegetable and mushroom farming). End of the day we witnessed a million bats came out from the cave. It’s awesome!
Excellent arrangement. Will recommend to everyone.
Souvik_B, Apr 2023
Very organised trip with attention to detail. Especially our guide Mr. Nani made sure we did everything at our own pace while caring about our food and rest requirements. The tour company also thought of every single thing that we may need. Overall I will suggest this tour to anyone who wants to see Battambang, which is a very unique experience too, especially the bamboo train ride.
An amazing experience of the Cambodian countryside in (and near) Battambang
RonAvraham_F, Feb 2023
A long drive from Siem Reap to Battambang (and back), but this outstanding tour is definitely worth making this long trip. We wouldn't skip ANY stop along the way during the tour. Kim, our devoted tour guide (and Tuk Tuk driver), was out of this world - kind, emotional, punctual and professional. Highly recommended !
An interesting and authentic tour of Battambang and its main attractions
Gary_H, Dec 2022
From the beginning we were pleasantly surprised with our day in Battambang. We were driven in comfort in a Lexus station wagon from our hotel in Siem Riep to Battambang where we were handed over to Nani in his old tuk tuk for an interesting and authentic tour of Battambang. We started with a city tour which we didn't even know was included. The ride on the bamboo train was a real surprise - so interesting and a lot of fun. Next, lunch at a tiny little cafe. As we toured around the back roads of the Battambang rural area, Nani would often stop to show us something of interest. Then a visit to Wat Banan temple (lots of stairs!), followed by the killing caves which were so poignantly described to us by Nani. Such a sad place. The highlight was no doubt the bat cave - watching the millions of bats leave the cave from our special secret spot was a joy. We cannot praise Nani enough, he was a great tour guide, thoughtful and informative. Would definitely recommend this tour for an authentic and fascinating look at the area around the historic Battambang. It was a long day - 15 hours - but worth it. Thanks Nani!
A must do experience

An amazing experience! Our guide was fantastic and gave us lots of information about the history of the area. I cannot recommend enough!
A beautiful day
Katherine_M, Dec 2022
I highly recommend this tour! It was something so different to experience and so much was included in the price! My local guide in battambang was amazing!! I am sorry that I cannot remember his name! Him and his older brother both work for the same tour company and the knowledge they both had was incredible!

This was a wonderful day. We did so many things. My guide, Mr. Kim, was very knowledgeable, kind, and funny. I really enjoyed the experience.
