Meet your guide at Piazza del Campo and set off your walking tour in the morning or afternoon. As this is a private tour, the 3-hour itinerary can be customized to your interests. Siena Walking Tour With Ellio

Highlight of Italy Visit

The website stated it was customizable and that is an understatement. Originally designed to keep you away from the crowds and take you hidden locations we asked if they could accommodate us to take advantage of the famous Palio preparation days (annual horse race held in largest piazza). Our guide Giulia was perfect. Not only did she move the meeting time up an hour to meet our schedule she took us into the heart of the Palio experience. Extremely knowledgeable and informative Giulia brought to life the amazing history of Siena, it’s contrade (city wards) and of the Palio horse race. We traveled as a family of 11 including 5 children aged 2 to 11. Giulia made the experience extremely pleasant and fun especially catering to the children. Our son-in-law stated it was the highlight of an almost 2 week tour of Italy. Grazie mille Giulia. We highly recommend this tour company.

Marella was an incredibly knowledgeable guide and showed us so many sights we never would have stumbled upon on our own. She knew the history behind every building and tower and was a lovely person to learn from for three hours. We saw beautiful stained glass and great views of the city. At the end, she ran into an elderly artisan she knows who refurbished the marble murals on the floor of the Siena cathedral and he opened up his workshop and showed us all of his artwork! A wonderful afternoon!

On a cold rainy day in Siena we had a fabulous guide, Amber. She was outstanding and very quick to accommodate a ridiculous storm and blowing cold wind. A coffee on El Campo and a lesson on the historical and contemporary Palio. We waited for the deluge to stop and then off to discover Siena made our private walking tour one of the best we’ve experienced in Europe. Amber is a wonderful representative of your company. Because of her I would not hesitate to recommend Viator.
