We met with Sandra (who by the way is amazing) and were taken on a phenomenal tour of the various local food establishments in and around Sienna. Sandra's knowledge of the various types of food/wine, the history associated with it and the overall presentation was fabulous. While we were touring she also gave us an overview of the area and suggestions related to various other activities, not even related to food. It was like a food tour and a city walk with a local, all wrapped up into one. We have use Viator for food tours in Rome too and they are always a high point of our stay. DO IT!

We had Sandra as our guide. Her knowledge was second to none, not only about the local wine and food but also about Siena. We stopped at multiple locations and tried high quality food and wine, learning about the local recipes and culture. Sandra gave us recommendations of the best products to buy and where to eat during our stay Her tour was one of the best we have experienced, would highly recommend.

Our guide Valentina was great. She was really knowledgeable about Siena, all the things we ate and places we went and also gave us a tour around the town and some of the sites. She was so kind and it was a really fun afternoon. I would highly recommend to anyone of all ages! The food was delicious. Everyone we met at the places we went was very nice. Extremely well organized.

Sondra took us to small shop for a local wine tasting then on to a great lunch spot where had some amazing pasta and another wonderful white wine for lunch. She then took us to her favorite bakery for some treats. Sondra shared her knowledge of all the local traditions which we loved. I would highly recommend this tour if you want a truly local experience!

Wonderful tour! Sandra was so lovely and knowledgable of the local history and foods we had. We tried some fantastic local meats, cheeses and wine. We loved the charm of Siena and this tour gave us a rich taste of fresh made pasta and gelato - pour and basic ingredients which we loved.

Our tour guide Alexandra was charming. She recently moved here with her family from Ukraine so her energy and enthusiasm was quite contagious. She also studied as a sommelier so she knew quite a bit about wine. The only complaint was too much food!!! Also recommend buying the drink package.

Worth the money

This tour was what we hoped for. Our certified guide Sandra is born in Siena and a wine sommelier. She told us interesting facts abour the towns history, its districts and the paleo. Sandra made perfect wine recomandations for everything we ate. We ate only at local and never touristic stops, which was great. We had a table everywhere and Sandra managed all the orders. I'm a vegetarian but that was no problem at all. Every stop had vegetarian options and at one stop where everyone had meat, Sandra asked for a variety of cheeses for me which was very nice. We never had the feeling to be stressed to get to the next stop, we always could take our time and enjoy the best food. We learned so much and had a lovely day in Siena.
