What To Expect

Your day of Costa Rican adventure begins with pickup at selected locations in a climate-controlled vehicle. If you have your own transport, save time by meeting the group at Rincon de la Vieja National Park

Then, start a multi-part itinerary designed so you can experience classic adventure sports in a single day. You’ll join expert guides for a zipline course featuring eight ziplines, hanging bridge, climbing wall, and more. Next, take a 45-minute horseback ride through lush forest home to monkeys, toucans, and elusive wild cats. The white-water tubing activity covers more than 3 miles (5 kilometers) of the clean, clear Rio Negro.

An included lunch features a wide range of entrees and sides to suit diverse tastes, plus coffee, tea, and dessert. After lunch is your final tour stop: An hour of relaxation at Río Negro (Black River) Hot Springs with option to try a skin-softening mud bath.

Best day ever!!! Our guide Alejandro and driver Miguel were amazing! So accommodating, kind, informative and made sure we had the best time. Zip lining was beautiful, the horse ride was fun, and the rapids were crazy! All in the best way! Alejandro gave us lots of info about Liberia and Costa Rica’s past! I picked with ride ; Alejandro was our guide and Franc our driver. Great experience, everyone very friendly and truly cared for your safety. Tubing was awesome, got to see monkeys and the famous blue butterfly. 🦋 fyi when you go down the rapids lift your bum ; the tub bottom doesn’t have enough cushion lol. Zip line was crazy, so many and different scenarios. Beautiful 😍. The guys work hard to keep you safe all the time. Horseback was not great, very short and just got dust on my face and bit by mosquitoes; even with spraying a lot of off. Hot springs was good at the end to just freshen up and head back to hotel. A lot of hiking so bring tennis shoes and water shoes; they give you time to change. And they provided towels when needed. Pura Vida ✌🏼

What an amazing day!!! The pictures don't even do it justice!!! The horses were beautiful and docile and it was a perfect length ride. From there we did the tubing which was SUPER fun! There were actual rapids at times, but never felt unsafe. The water was refreshing but not cold. From there we were provided a DELICIOUS lunch with authentic food and local musicians in a beautiful outdoor restaurant. After lunch we did Ziplining. Words don't really explain how much fun and how beautiful it was. There were 8 lines I think, plus a Tarzan swing, along with an optional rappel and rock climb up. The lines go over the river at times, through the forest, and between high rock walls. I wanted to immediately go again. From there we ended drove over to the hot springs. Amazing how they stay warm right from the earth. Very relaxing and an amazing way to end the day. We WILL come back next time we are in Costa Rica for sure!!

Everything was well organized and we all had so much fun! I had the most kind helper on the zipline! He calmed my nerves and helped me thru my fear! Those guys along with the tubing group work hard and deserve any and all tips! This adventure was definitely worth the money. Food was good, scenery was gorgeous, and our driver and guide were amazing! Shout out to Ivan! Highly recommend! But not for the faint at heart!

This is an experience not to be missed! The scenery while zip lining was breathtaking, and the men working were very skilled. We felt very safe as we moved through the forest and canyon. Horseback riding was good, as well, but we were all grateful when it was time to tube, as it was quite dusty on our ride. Very refreshing…. Again the guys running it knew what they were doing. The hot springs and mud bath were the perfect icing on the day!. Great day!

As a group of 3 teenage girls and their Mom’s, we took this excursion from Tamarindo. It’s 2-4 hours each way, depending on traffic, so be prepared. You can watch You Tube videos on how the day will play out, but our tour was extremely rushed. There was minimal explanation as to what was to come and when the time came to do something different, we had 10 minutes to do the following…finish eating, pay for our drinks, change for river tubing, oh, and pay for pictures. Overall, it was a great day, but a long and rushed one.

Paid extra as collected from Planet Hollywood but well worth it. Maybe we got lucky but we had the mini bus to ourselves. Kenneth, the driver and rep for the day, was a gent. Informative on our journey about all things Costa Rican and was with us the entire trip making sure we got around without issue. 1) zip wire - really good amount of lines around the circuit. Don’t forget to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. 2) Horse riding - surprisingly relaxing and the horses are clearly well looked after. 3) River tubes - unbelievably good. Mixture of lazy river and rapids. The guys running this work hard keeping everyone moving when it gets too lazy. 4) Lunch - decent buffet. Fresh and tasty 5) Mud bath and hot springs - nice way to end the tour. We were stupid, don’t wear light coloured swimwear or at least don’t smother it in mud.

What an amazing day for my son’s 13th birthday! Our group was amazing and we encouraged and loved doing all the activities together. We kept saying “We are river tubing in Costa Rica! We are zip lining in Costa Rica!” The zip line was my son’s favorite. The tubing was my favorite. The guides and photographers are amazing in the Adventure Park. Highly encourage the photo package and keep your camera in the car for the zip line, horseback and tubing. They got plenty of shots of really good shots. Ask the photographers to take pictures for you of the waterfalls and creek through the canyon. I bet they will. This was the only thing I wish I had picture of that we didn’t get because the canyon you zip line through is stunning. Take your camera for the mud bath if you want photos here. I had read tons of changing clothes. I think the girls in our group that wore quick dry athletic wear were the smartest because there are several times you are sitting on the bus going to the next stop in your wet clothes.(which dry pretty quick because of heat) We also had one more change to change from our wet clothes back to street clothes before the hour trip back to the hotel and no one in the van took it because we were so tired from an amazing day of adventure. We travel a lot and by far this was the best tour at such an affordable cost! Our driver, Frank and guide Kevin Pina were so kind and helpful as well. Kevin shared lots of information about the region. Worth every penny

As a family, we’ve done quite a few zip lines in different locations around the world including Costa Rica, this is one of the prettiest zip lines we’ve done. Horseback riding good if you’re comfortable on horses. they do a great job chaperone through. The white river tubing was adventurous and safe. The lunch at the restaurant was really good. Try to avoid the crowd

The excursions themselves were all fantastic. We didn't realize this booking is basically a rebranding or resale of the One Day Adventure Pass offered by Hotel Hacienda Guachipilen that we could have gotten the same exact deal for $25 less by going directly through this hotel (we had our own transportation there). There is no Native Waters guide that accompanies you at the property. Basically you get to the hotel and you get added to a group of ~100 others customers from other outfits and there is no consistent guide provided by them, just get bounced around from excursion to excursion, which again were all great, but not personalized at all. Lunch buffet was good. Also I felt like this was at the base of the National Park and not inside it. Our pass did not gain us admission to the park if we wanted to go in. Also be aware this does get you in past the private property toll collector for free if you know which tour you are on otherwise you will have to pay something like $2 per person to get to the hotel.

Great value. We’ve zip lined before a a this was the best experience so far! Being in the canyon and jumping off platforms and a slide was so fun. The horseback ride to the river was short and sweet. Tubing in rapids was far better than rafting. Lunch was delicious and then to end the day with the mud and hot springs was perfection!

We had a group of 15 which fit into one van plus the driver and guide. We were able to leave our things in the van and get to them between activities. The tour starts with either horseback or zip line. We wore shorts for horseback because it’s only about 45 min on the horse. The mud and hot springs were last. Photography package is nice because you don’t have to worry about a phone on the activities. We had one boy with autism who struggles to walk. They allowed us to do the zip line together. A guide helped him the entire way down the river tube. There is a decent amount of walking on trails through the woods. You have a fair amount of time in the shade so sun exposure isn’t as much as if you’re on the beach all day. Lunch is in a restaurant buffet style and was better than expected. The tour is well organized and definitely worth it. Highly recommend.
