It was a pleasant and great experience visiting Mount Fuji with Hussain and Nomi. Very flexible journey where we visited a number of places around Fujisan and finally got a great view at Lake Kawaguchi. Highly recommend if you want a flexible and customized tour to Mount Fuji from Tokyo...!!!

Memorable family experience

We had an excellent trip. Mr Rana was our English speaking driver and he took us to the best locations and also guided us throughout the trip. He was very accommodating and courteous throughout the trip. The trip was fully flexible and at our convenience.

Horrible experience! Driver was 1.5 hrs late, went to the wrong hotel, very unprofessional and driving one handed while holding cell phone for GPS in the other. Went the wrong way several times and reversed on highway exit ramp twice. The area is beautiful but do not book with this agency!

Thanks for your feedback. That hotel have 3 branches that’s why our driver go wrong hotel you just provide hotel name not full address. And the contact number you mentioned in booking it’s was on answering machine. When you called from hotel number on our phone then we know the exact hotel address then our driver arrived on correct hotel. Our GPS was working perfectly fine no problem there was accident offer 1 km that’s why our driver go from other alternative route

The guide was horrible Umar It was a very raining day - we said let’s make the best of it because we know we couldn’t do what was on the tour. He took us to a market didn’t explain anything told us he had to show the pond do not stop Than said you have 10 mins He proceeded to message every stop you have 10 mins Then texted where are you He unengaging every moment of the trip we said just take us back.

Bad experience

The van would not start at beginning of tour, we therefore were delayed in leaving. Van was old and dirty and River told us it was being scrapped next day. Entire time van could not be turned off as driver wasn’t sure it would start again We went out of sync form what website said and had to tell driver where the stops were. He said he was told of only 5 stops yet Viator site lists 8. We never made it to Hakone and never made it to fifth station. Paid very high price for the tour and needed up very disappointed. The tour guide was very nice but he obviously was not given the proper tools for the tour he was supposed to give. I Contacted the tour operator 4 times and still have not heard back. I would not recommend them again.

Effective transfer, but low quality service

I'm not sure I'd call Rana a guide. He did drive us to the tour stops listed, however he had no additional cultural or historical information to share and was surly and unwilling to engage in conversation with our group. He pressured members of our group to participate in a speed boat ride (which they did not want to do) and drove recklessly. I would not recommend him. I gave two stars rather than one because he did successfully get 6 people and all our luggage from Tokyo to our hotel in Hakone, but not before trying to drop us off at the wrong hotel in Hakone (even though we'd confirmed the address in advance)

We did a number of stops and each of it was lovely. Our guide Sarfarez was very patient and gave us good enough time in each stops. The day was long but he was smiling and enthudiastic.He was kind enough to take us to nice place for lunch and ice creams . V much enjoyed our trip

Nice tour to see several beautiful areas and many good views of Mt. Fuji

We saw all but one area on our tour. We don’t know why the guide elected to miss the Hakone part of the tour, as the weather was great, and we had not overstayed at any of the other sites. We are very prompt people. It was not discussed with us and we did not agree to miss the stops in Hakone. Otherwise, the itinerary chosen is very good. We agreed to leave earlier to miss the traffic, and had no difficulty with changing the order of the stops. The driver was polite, and agreed to drop us at Shibuya Crossing instead of our hotel on the way back, which was easier for him and better for us. It was a good tour, if a bit disappointing to realize when we checked the list at the end that we’d missed a bit of it.

Terrible experience

Driver was almost 40 minutes late. I wasn’t able to get hold of anyone to know why no one was there to pick us up. Driver showed up in older beat up van with significant damage and stained dirty interior. Driver also seemed to have trouble navigating to find his way. We received no “guiding” from driver. He simply dropped us off at 3 different locations with no explanation of what anything was. We also did not get to see the Hakone area described on trip advertisement.

Driver did not show up

We booked our tour for a Friday at 8:30am. We waited outside our hotel at 8:20am and when it was 8:30am and no one arrived, we tried to contact the tour company. We called and emailed for nearly an hour, all while waiting around the hotel lobby debating if we should continue to wait, what we should do next, etc. It was very stressful and annoying to deal with this while on vacation. The website said they open at 8am but nobody answered the phone until nearly 9:30am. When they finally answered, they called our driver, and called us back and said our driver got into an car accident (so suspicious - our driver got into an accident while on the job, and almost an hour passed but he never contacted his boss to inform them of what happened?? This sounds like a complete lie). He said we could rebook for the next day, or wait until noon to be picked up, or get a refund. Although extremely inconvenient, we rebooked for the next day because it was the best of the 3 options. I requested a discount for this huge inconvenience and unprofessionalism - one person in our group was unable to go the next day, which was a big disappointment for us. We thought it to be very fair to request some kind of compensation for this inconvenience. He said no, but when I insisted, he said he would ask management. He never got back to me. I emailed to follow up on getting a partial refund, and they ignored my email and did not reply. If you read other reviews, similar incidents have happened before and this company has used similar excuses. Someone else said their driver was 1-1.5 hours late due to weather, another reviewer had to reschedule their tour to another day due to car mechanical issues. Read through the negative reviews of this tour/company - they ALWAYS have an excuse for when something goes wrong. You will see their unprofessionalism in their replies to negative reviews. The car itself was clean and very spacious, and the driver was nice. As others stated, it is not a typical tour where they explain the points of interest. This is a car service to drive you to the places and that's it. He only took us to 4 of the 5 places listed on the tour. We would not book with this company again and I would suggest booking a more expensive but reliable tour company. Nobody wants to deal with this kind of inconvenience and stress while on vacation, so spend a little more to ensure you don't end up in the same situation we were in.

the tour guide was very friendly and punctual throughout the trip and ensured we covered all the itinerary smoothly and on time. private transport made this trip very convenient. important to note that the experience of this tour is highly dependent on the weather conditions - if it is too cloudy or raining, mt fuji will not be visible from the spots you will be visiting as part of this itinerary. Regardless, our tour guide put in all the efforts, going above and beyond to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for us. As the itinerary is already quite packed with the spots around mt muji, going to hakone during the same day trip would be even more rushed so it was not covered.

Jamie was a good driver and a fantastic guide. We chatted for hours on our way up to Mount Fuji, which took about 2 1/2 hours. Jami is very knowledgeable about Japan and its culture. I highly recommend him.

Fahad was a friendly, knowledgeable guide. He did everything to make our experience enjoyable. There was a delay in pickup due to traffic and a miscommunication with his office re location, but he was more than accommodating in making sure we got the full time. Unfortunately the Hakone Ropeway was closed and there were enormous queues for the alternative. Fahad was more than willing to wait while we did it but we decided against. We got great views of Fuji from the lake, visited Oshino Hakkai and the Sengen Jinja shrine. Everywhere was extremely busy and crowded and the roads very busy too. If your itinerary allows, maybe avoid doing this at a weekend. We had beautiful weather but this probably also added to the crowds. Still very enjoyable though.

Mt Fuji was beautiful, but we had the worst guide ever. His car did not have seat belts that operated, and my door would not open from the inside. We were pulled over by the police as I did not have a seat belt fastened and he told us not to worry about it. The traffic was terrible, so we spent most of the time commuting in the car. Take the train. Also, the guide did not know any history. He said Mt Fuji erupted 20 years ago when in fact it was over 500 years when we fact checked it. We wanted Italian food and the restaurant he took us to was not Italian, so we left when I told him we had passed one a few blocks back. It was the worst experience, and I would never recommend this guide.

Snow and rain in March

Unfortunately the weather was really bad for our trip, spoiling all the views of Mt Fuji and the lake. The driver Umar though was very helpful and accommodated our request to add in a snow resort visit, something unique to us and helped make our day special and memorable even if not what we planned.
