Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Feeling Torontonian for a Day, Amazing!

Walking Tour with a Local was a surprise to how diverse Toronto districts are. Our Locafyer Chris was amazing showing us the lifestyle of Torontonians. He is very knowledgeable about history to current trends. I would highly recommend this experience with Chris or the Locafyers. My wife had her exotic favorite fruit with Chris's resourceful ability. Seeing the graffiti wall was great. However guide did not know city well, kept looking things up on phone and using GPS to get us from one site to another. Original guide backed out one day before.

LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION

After reaching out to our guide that we were running late and on our way, he texted back to informed us he was not feeling well and needed to cancel. Would have been nice to have been contacted sooner than 15 minutes before our tour started. Additionally, our guide had a thick accent when we spoke to him about things we wanted to see the day before the tour. We were a little concerned that we would not be able to understand him. Overall we were relieved the excursion was canceled by the tour company.

Guide was from Mexico and although he had been living in Toronto for 2-3 years, I wouldn’t really class him as a local who could give a good guided tour!

As for the Lokafyer not being a native, We screen applicants extensively but do not require them to be natives of the city. Generally speaking, we find our international Lokafyers have a special connection to their cities as they have chosen to call them home.
