    Full day of touring
    Tiffany_F, May 2024
Our group of four loved this experience! We had two adults, a fifteen year old and an eight year old. The activities broke up the day perfectly and they have plenty of bike options for riders, including small bikes and trailers. our guide MoMo made the day excellent. He shared fun stories and just the right amount of information at every stop. He also read the room well and knew when to move us through sections faster and slower. It was a full 6 hr day and unfortunately the tour ends with you going on your own to the hall of mirrors in the main palace. Our group was toast so we saw everything but the grand finale! Overall would highly recommend.
    SO SO BEAUTIFUL

My bf and I loved this tour. Highly recommend the golf cart and bike tour with the picnic. It was so fun and we got to meet amazing people in the process. MoMo is AWESOME! He has such a warm presence with an abundance of knowledge. He is very respectful and patient.

Great tour guide, Viator crap organisers
    Alison_M, May 2024
Not being given correct meeting point nor name of third party company doing tour so we could lookout for them. Therefore missed two hours of a six hour tour.

Hello, we are very sorry you missed the meeting location because of the confusing infos on your Viator voucher. We did our best and you were able to rejoin the group quickly !
    Highly recommend

Our guide Momo was wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding French history and pointed things out to us that on our own we would have missed. I would recommend this excursion, my daughters and I loved it.

Unfortunately, it wasn't good value for money
    Christopher_F, Apr 2024
We enjoyed it, given the historical setting, but feel it wasn't good value for money. Too much waiting around and then having to rush visiting inside areas. Really, the guide is most essential for the non-guided areas (which the advert only clearly indicated the palace is independent of the guide). The outside parts are relatively self explanatory with the map. Also, we didn't skip the line to the Palace since tickets still require you to line up, although the wait wasn't too much. For around £850 for 4 adults and 2 children it should be a fully guided tour, sticking to schedule, irrespective of others in the group turning up late, and slowing everything down through-out the day. Time management by the guide is really important when there is so much to cover.

Hello thank you for your feed back on the tour and we are sorry if you were not fully satisfied. As mentioned in the Tour description, there are selfguided parts, the Palace at the end of the tour and the Trianon Domain (Marie Antoinette's village). before lunch. After receiving historical informations and fun facts about the retreat place of The Queen, guests are kindly invited to explore it on their own while the guide makes all arrangements for lunch. This allows the lunch to be ready and served as soon as guests finish exploring the place :) There are no skip the lines tickets to the Palace (expect for expensive private tours), we offered timed entry tickets and on busy days there might be a little queue but guests very rarely wait more than 10min. I understand that the group had to wait 15min for late comers on the morning. We do our best to show flexibility (people can face trains strikes or traffic issues, welcome to France!) as long as it does not impact the schedule of the tour. The schedule of your tour was not impacted :) Best regards to you and your familly :)
    Wonderful fountains
    S_A, Apr 2024
This tour was perfect to explore Versailles and its weekend fountains. Our guide Nima was excellent and showed great care for everyone. The mix of carts, bikes, lunch and chateau interior was good for our teenager. One tip I would offer is plan 2 hours for comfortable train RER C train joirney from Gare D’Austerlitz ($10 US RT) to meet tour. King Tours communication was much appreciated.

Time of year greatly impacts this tour
    Lori_H, Apr 2024
This tour is a great way to see, experience, and learn about Versailles. It is 6 hours long which is appropriate for prime season. It is much too long for the off season when the fountains are drained and all the marble statues in the gardens are covered until April 1st. Additionally our tour was impacted by a labor strike that day causing the palace to close the Petit Trianon and English Gardens to tourists. This made for a long day awaiting our ticketed entry time to tour the inside of the palace.
    Response from Host, Apr 2024
Bonjour, thank you for your feed back. Going on strikes is kind of a french tradition, we hate it too but unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. We are really sorry that it had to happen during your day of the visit. Marbles statues are covered in the winter to protect them from the frost and the rain. We definitely understand that the strike did negatively impacted your experience in Versailles and you couldn't see the full potential of the gardens. If you plan to come back we will be happy to make it up to you :) Regards,
    Delightful tour

Lucie was a wonderful tour guide who shared her love of Versailles with us. Her stories added depth to the tour. Her humor, thoughtfulness and flexibility made us feel special. Since it was cold and windy, we stopped for hot chocolate twice to warm up. We enjoyed seeing the gardens with the golf cart. Our favorite part was the farm animals at Petit Trianon! The palace was very crowded but the rest of the tour was memorable and wonderfully organized. The lunch (get the red wine) was delicious!

    Meh
    ame_k, Mar 2024
The people guiding the tour were so nice and knowledgeable. It is not their fault that all of the statues on the grounds were covered in tarps, none of the fountains were on or that some areas were completely closed off. They showed us, on their phones, what everything looked like when it wasn’t winter or prep for the Olympics. Maybe this tour should only be done when the gardens are truly ready for visitors.
    Response from Host, Mar 2024
Hello, thank you for your review. We understand that it may be a little frustrating to visit Versailles when few parts of the gardens are not open (Nov- March). Some people travel agenda doesn't allow them to visit Versailles in the summer, so we start our tours from the second week of march. The 250 years old marble statues are covered in the winter to protect them from the frost. We did our best to show you as much as possible, the summer housses and the village of Marie Antoinette were all open :) If you come back in the summer we will be happy to show you the few parts you missed :) Regards
    Great Tour

    Very Disappointing
    Jacqueline_S, Oct 2023
WAY OVERPRICED AND EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!! While our guide was knowledgeable about Versailles, it was most upsetting and unbelievable (SINCE WE PAID DEARLY FOR A TOUR - more than $175.00 US/pp) that he was not with us while inside the Grand and Petit Trianons, nor inside the Palace of Versailles. Instead, he merely pointed us in the directions of the museums, where we were expected to tour on our own. It would have made much more sense for the guide to talk to us about Versailles and French history while taking us on tours INSIDE the museums instead of talking to us OUTSIDE while we were standing in the rain! And because of the rain at times, our bike tour was canceled even though other tourists were seen riding bikes. Other tour groups were also given plastic raincoats, however none were offered by Viator. For the price of the tour, these cheap raincoats should have been provided. A very expensive and disappointing day.
    Response from Host, Mar 2024
Hello, thank you for taking the time to write a review. As it is mentioned in the tour description, our tour is a garden oriented tour, with free time at points of interests such as the Petit and the Grand Trianon where guests get the chance to explore the places by themselves after receiving detailed historical informations from the guide so that they understand what they see. While guests are inside the Petit Trianon, the guide is making the arrangements for your picnic lunch so everything is ready and served when you are done exploring. As it was raining on the day of your visit, the group decided (group decision) to switch the bikes for an indoor little shuttle in order to make it more confy for everybody. You were given the opportunity to keep the bikes. We are an eco friendly company we do not encourage the use of single use plastic items :) Guests are kindly required to dress accordingly with the weather. I am very sorry if the experience did not meet your standards, 99% of our guests are extremely satisfied by our service. If you come back to Versailles, we will be happy to make it up to you. Kind Regards Nima
    Great Tour

It was delightful to ride the carts around for the gardens and the bikes as well to see parts of the grounds I had never seen before. Highly recommend this tour!
