Experience the bioluminescence of Mosquito Bay, without having to paddle or get wet, with this convenient 1-hour boat tour with a small group of just eight people, which strikes an ideal balance between costs and crowds.
Choose from different nighttime departures to fit your schedule, then make your way to the convenient departure point on Vieques Island to board the climate controlled 24-foot (7-meter) electric catamaran. As you cruise out into the bay, listen to onboard talks from your guides about the bioluminescent phenomenon and the creatures that cause it.
See the waters light up as the boat cruises over the water, or use the on-board sticks to get a closer look at the glow. Weather permitting, also enjoy a spectacle of stars in the night sky before returning to the departure point.

We had a fantastic tour, well organised and a great guide who gave us lots of extra info.
The only negative was the drive to the bay itself from Esperanza. Not something the tour can control, but it might be something to warn about in advance as the road is very rough going.

Loved the bioluminescence tour! What a great experience for a first time visit to Vieques. The boat trip was nice and I agree with others that we had a good vantage point to see down into the water from the boat, which is the only one licensed to be on Mosquito Bay. Lovely time out on the water. The road back to the bay is bumpy but the driver was a pro and took it slow. We had a great time!

Most memorable experience of the whole trip to PR. The driver was so careful that our ride to the boat was not too bumpy. The tour guide on the boat showed us everthing, from the magic glowing thing in the water to fish and the tree of mangrove and even galaxy. Thanks!

Must do! We launched in same spot as kayakers. Because we were on boat we had the added bonus of learning from a very knowledgeable captain. Plenty of parking in lots across from El Blok. You’ll receive a text in the morning with a photo and license plate of the vehicle picking you up. If it rains- don’t cancel! You’ll have the added treat of raindrops hitting the bay!

It was an incredible experience. The tour guides Eddie and Ora were so knowledgeable, funny, interactive and they just made the experience so much better. I am 7 months pregnant and was able to take the tour safely. Between the stars and the bio bay it was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
