For hotel Guests located within the pickup zone Meeting point will be at your hotel lobby. Please plan to be at the designated departure location at least 15 minutes before the departure time. Cruise ships may dock at 3 piers in Curacao. If you dock at Mega Pier 1 or Mega Pier 2 Tula, upon debarkation, Head for the open bar and souvenir kiosks, where you will find the online reservation sign. If you are docked at Mathey Wharf, upon debarkation, proceed towards the information stand at the port. Nearby the information stand, you will see the online reservation sign. This is an approximately 2 to 10 minute walk depending on the arrival port. The local representative will be waiting for you with a sign that says "Aida Travel Services." They will be wearing a hat that says "Aida Travel Services" and an orange polo shirt with the Aida Travel Services logo on it. Please plan to be at the designated location at least 15 minutes before the departure time. If you have any trouble finding the local representative, head to the security building at the port, where you can make a free call to the contact number .

What To Expect

On the day of your Curacao Beach and Hato Caves tour, either head to the meeting location in Willemstad, or enjoy a smooth pickup if you selected this option when booking this experience.

Your first stop of the day is at a flamingo park, where you might see these birds in their natural habitat. Your guide tells you about the flamingos before continuing on to Hato Caves.

At Hato Caves, spend about an hour inside on a guided tour to explore all of its underworld glory.

Your last stop of the day is at Kokomo Beach. At the beach, get about two hours of free time to either swim, sunbathe, or just relax.

After this tour, you can either get dropped off in Willemstad or at your original pickup location.

First off our tour guide was amazing. His knowledge of the island and its history was truly commendable. The Hato Caves was a good place to tour and seeing the flamingos on the way was topping of the cake.

Tour was disorganized (came to pick us up in a van that had only 1 seat open), but fine (nice tour guide). What wasn't fine was waiting 2 hours for cruise ship passengers in a hot bus. Fortunately a tour guide plucked us from the bus so we could get out since we had a 1 year old.

Great Experience

This was a fantastic tour. The guides were friendly and we learned a lot about life on the island. The caves were beautiful. What a wonderful ecosystem they have. The little bats were cool to see. Highly recommended.

Terrible Experience

The tour company overbooked and put us on a tiny van with 30 people. After waiting for 45 mins and having the three women say nothing to us … we finally leave the port and had a guide that barely spoke English and explained NOTHING, took us straight to Mombo Beach told us to get out and said they would be back in 2 hours. We elected to stay @ Mombo Beach for a few hours and then got a taxi back to the port. I called and asked for a refund. Needless to say, we saw nothing Curacao accept the beach! Was very disappointed!!

This excursion with Aida tours was terrible. When we got to our pick up location, they had a big coach bus that did not fit everyone that had booked so they got my family a taxi. The driver took us to all the tour locations however was not informative in the drive none of which was his fault since he was not a tour driver. The Hato Caves were very cool but we felt very rushed. Last stop was Kokomo beach. It was awful. There were no lounge chairs and the ones that were available were broken. The bathrooms were disgusting. The beach and ocean was very rocky. We spent $523 and it was a waste of money.

Our tour guide was great. She was flexible in adjusting times since some carnival patrons incorrectly assumed times where ship time and not local time and arrived almost an hour late.

Poor picking up experience

The tour itself was just fine, but the picking-up experience was not good at all. We waited at the port 15 minutes earlier than that appointment as the tour requested, we tried the message and calling them, but no response. Luckily, the port officer helped us to contact the other port officer to confirm that they would come and pick us up. It was really unpleasant to wait in the hot weather without knowing when they would show up. Eventually, they were 45 minutes late. The whole trip should have been 5 hours but ended up with 4 hours. And don’t expect too much for flamingos, not 20 minutes as advertised. Just drove by the salt lake and gave us 2 minutes to take a picture.

Not a great tour due to snarky driver

We were put in a van cab with 6 other people because there was no room on the bus. Driver was very rude. Actually shouted at us when we complained that while he was arguing with someone on his phone he locked us out of the van for 12 minutes in the heat of the day. One of our tour goers was a young pregnant woman. Not good!!!

Tour guide and driver were very good. Guide very informative. However they seemed a little unorganized putting us on busses. We had to change 3 times before leaving. Once on the road things got better.

So it was 126$ for 2 people . It was nice that company picked us up at the port in a van . Marie took us to the beach for only 2 hours it was going to be only 1.30 min. It all 6 of us asked for more time. At the beach we had to pay more money 12$ for chair . 2 hours not enough at the beach and 12 $ for 2 hours is way too much when people pay that for full day. After that we went to the cave and someone gave us a tour . Cave was the interesting and educational. For maybe 30-40 min and back to the ship by 1:30 pm . After that the beach was too far to go so we walked around hot town. I am really upset that this is what we got for 126$. When people can take taxi to the beach for 10$ each way and the cost of chairs at the beach 12$ . That’s 32$ that’s much better day

Lady and Glen were wonderful! They both were very informative, comical and hospitable. There weren’t many stops but it was definitely worth the price. Cab rides averaged $25-35 usd. So going on this tour with a few stops including beach and shopping was good for us.

The Hato Caves was great but the service at the beach restaurant was terrible. Since we are at an all inclusive resort, we didn't care of the beach. We did expect to see the flamingos from much closer and it was not a set up to actually walk up to the flamingoes
