    Matt was a phenomenal tour guide. We learned so much from him. He was very knowledgeable, educational and entertaining. Definitely worth the $. Enjoyed the bus, walking through the museums and having some free time. Very educational tour. We are very glad we chose this tour.

    We had the most fantastic tour guide, Matt! He is well versed in Virginian and American history and gave us so much historical context for our tours. Having been to Boston, Lexington, Concord and Philadelphia, his "history lessons" also helped us to connect the dots in a more linear, chronological American history story. One lesson stands out, he taught us that art both tells a story about what was going on at that time in history and how to interpret the art. Also enjoyed hearing about his personal family history, what a legacy! Highly recommend this trip and Matt!

    Matt might have been the best tour guide we have ever had. He was knowledgeable and fun. Very personable. He even told us the story of growing up very near to the initial Jamestown settlement. The variety of sites we saw and the pace of the trip were just perfect. For us old guys (75+) it was pretty tiring. Pretty much couldn't absorb anything by the last hour or so. But that certainly wasn't Matt's fault. His description of the George Washington statue, at the end, was perfect. Reinforced his mantra of "pay attention to the details!

    Matt was exceptionally knowledgeable. Yorktown Battlefield was a sobering experience. Jamestown was very interesting.

    Matt is one of the most knowledgeable, entertaining and interactive tour guides ever. So good. I tried to talk my way onto another (different) tour the next day as. Not surprisingly, it was full. The bus was clear and comfortable.

    I lived in VA for 2 years and I learned more from Matt in this historic tour today than I learned in the 2 yrs I lived in VA. If only my history teachers were like Matt, I would've liked history. He made the day fun and educational.

    Our tour guide was Matt any we feel very fortunate. We’ve been on many tours and the guides rank from a retired citizen simply working a part time job to, well, Matt. He was more than knowledgeable he was engaging, practiced and entertaining. We enjoyed our tour with him VERY much. Viator offers great tours, but the narrative makes tour and if we gone back here we will book any tour Matt is teaching. Yes, teaching is the perfect word for his tours.     The Jamestown Museum! Matt was entertaining and very accommodating! Lunch could have been better. My fish wasn’t cooked long enough!! I felt that after the tour was over and we were on the bus driving back, I would have liked some silence to think about things! Instead, Matt kept talking and asking us questions……too much talking for me, as I was tired!
