    We didn't do the tour
    Tyrone_M, May 2024
I cannot rate this tour. When we went to the address where our GPS led us to there was no address. We didn't know where to go from that point. Suggestion: Please put signs out to let tourists know where to meet and park. Thank u. We did reschedule.

Unfortunately the city of williamsburg and the colonial williamsburg foundation are not good at signage. This is something beyond my control. I have double checked the GPS and the parking suggestions and they are listed correctly.

Lonnie illuminated the history of slavery in the context of Williamsburg with deftness and sensitvity. Along with the Patriots tour, it provided a broader understanding of Colonial life and times.
    Great experience

Very informative! Lonnie was very knowledgeable and engaging. I remember coming to Williamsburg as a child. Slavery wasn’t talked about back then. Lonnie filled in the gap!

Lonnie was a well informed guide. He provided insight into the cultural and moral aspects of the period much more than could be inferred from just observing the architecture of the era.

Great Tour I took the tour with my 2 grandsons, and while the temperature was unforgiving we totally absorbed with our guide (Lonnie). Lonnie was extremely detailed and answered all of our questions. As expected it was very informative 👍🏽. I would highly recommend it. Next year I will take it again.

Our guide, Wally, was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about this subject throughout different time periods. He presented the subject in a clear and understandable manner. We were encouraged to ask questions. We learned much about slavery. It was an enlightening, enjoyable experience.
