Overview

Indulge your taste buds with some wine and tapas on an amazing wine and tapas tour in Albufeira. Our tour guides will take you on a short trip to a local winery, where you will learn the winemaking process, taste wines, and enjoy delicious tapas while you're at it. Afterwards, we take you on a drive through the off-road tracks so you can see some astounding views. The last treat of the day is the chance to try the local firewater.

Lovely day out where I learnt a lot about the wine making process in the Algarve and tasted some lovely wines. Miguel the driver was super friendly and helpful, as was the staff at the storefront who let me charge my phone pre tour and leave my wine purchases there after as I explored the Old Town. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent trip, well worth the money

We were collected from the town centre by two amazing drivers. They were really kind, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area and did everything they could to make our experience as positive as it could be. The wine tour itself was amazing, definitely worth the money. A great experience.

We really enjoyed the afternoon at the vineyard, very interesting listening to the information on how they are reducing their need for water and how the overall approach is to be less demanding on the environment. A big plus that the wines we tasted were great, especially the red. Would have been 5* in the tapas had been better.

An excellent half day excursion

We were looking for a half day excursion for the last day of our holiday and this was perfect. We were picked up from our hotel at 10:30 and we're back in time for lunch, meaning we didn't have to get up really early and still had a free afternoon to relax. The vineyard is just outside Albufeira so the journey didn't take long at all. At the vineyard we met Edgar, one of the owners of the family run business, who gave us a really interesting talk on grape growing and the wine making process. We also heard about the building design from Edgar's niece who is an architect. The wine cellar and other buildings were built to make the best use of natural sunlight and reduce the need to use air conditioning. We then were given 4 glasses of different wines to try, as well as some tapas style snacks. It was proper glasses of wine not tiny samples! We purchased a bottle to bring home which was extremely reasonably priced.

Wonderful experience

The experience exceeded my overall expectations. From an unexpected city tour on our way to the vineyard, where our very friendly guides explained the history behind the city to a very passionate owner of the vineyard where he kindly showed the in and outs of wine making in Portugal. The wine portions were very generous and delicious as well. I would totally recommend the tour and I find it as being great value for money for what it offers.

Great experience

Had a great time at the winery, Cody and Sofia was great telling us about the history of the vineyard and all the grapes that they use for all the different wines, it’s not just wine it is also bread and olive oil which they happily make in store with all natural ingredients, no chemicals go into the wine making process which is great. When we finished in the vineyard Cody gave us a small but really informative tour about the old town Albufeira , his English is amazing as well there was no language barrier and he was a great guy, fully recommend !

Knowledgeable and friendly people that ran the vineyard. Driver was also chatty and helpful, however his van did have some rattles and dents! Wine and food was good and weather amazing

I sent my mum on a surprise for her birthday with her 2 best friends. They got picked up by Cody and he was amazing, he went along with our plan and made my mum think she was going bungee jumping (her face was hilarious 😂) The feedback from my mum and her 2 friends was really good. They really enjoyed the wine tour and found it informative and interesting. They loved that they could get some time together with and experience that they will remember forever. In came 3 tipsy ladies all emotional and happy with their day. Thank you so much!

Cody was a great host. Communication was good. He went above and beyond to show us the best viewpoints of Albufeira. The visit to the winery was great. Eduardo the owner who showed us round was very passionate and knowledgable about the subject. The wine tastings were amazing and the portions were generous. Topped off with a try of the firewater and a pastel de nata. To summarise, it was a fabulous way to spend a few hours. I would highly recommend Cody for this tour and other tours. 5*

Talking at the table with some Australians about wine and other things, while sipping the tiny measure of wine given to us,it was possibly 10 minutes drive from our hotel,I just think for £53 each it wasn't value for money at all.
