Overview

Watch the evening border closing ceremony at the Attari-Wagha border, just outside of Amritsar, with this tour. Every evening, Indian and Pakistani border guards ceremonially close the border with an energetic ceremony complete with military kicks and stunts, shouts, and formations, wrapping the choreographed ceremony up with a lowering of the two country's flags.

Our tour guide Narinder was a lovely friendly man, communicated regularly with us regarding the tour. Picked us up from hotel . Took us to the boarder for the ceremony, explained so much about the culture, traditions and history on the way. Can't recommend this tour and guide enough. Excellent time, big thanks to Narinder.

Good trip!

We had never been to the border tour before. I am very satisfied with my experience with Viator. Our guide was extremely attentive and punctual. He was also quite knowledgeable about the Amritsar area, and made some really good recommendations for food and shopping.

A very enjoyable afternoon / evening. A high energy carnival-like atmosphere of music, impromptu Bollywood dancing by the audience, goose-stepping & yelling. A pity that audiance numbers were not matched on the Pakistan side, but definately worth seeing. It was good to see some light-hearted fun derived from the ongoing political tensions!

Outstanding Tour and Timely Communication

Our Wagah Border tour was outstanding. Narinder contacted me once I booked my tour to introduce himself which was a nice touch. He explained the history in great detail and made sure we got good seats. The wagah border ceremony was very memorable for especially for my parents Also he was able to book my airport transfer as well. He communicated with me constantly to make sure arrival departure went smoothly.

Certainly an experience like never before, great atmosphere. The gem of the whole tour, Narinder. Truly priceless guide cum driver, my Prince of Amritsar. My first trip was certainly made special by his conscientiousness, punctuality & knowledge of all things Amritsar. Narinder was on time. Car was clean, bottled water was provided. His knowledge on the history of Amritsar was vast, I’m a history buff so it was great listening to a fellow history buff Wagah experience was great, what a show. His tips to get good seats and to avoid human and road traffic definitely came in handy

Mr. Narinder the guide was a super gentlemen and so humble and friendly. He has taken extra initiative to make sure we are safe and placed in right seats well before the WB ceremony starts. Mr. Narinder is knowledgeable about the history of Panjab and the Attari stories. we really enjoyed the company of this family man. We truely suggest to use your guide if you plan to visit Amritsar. Our guide Narinder was a great guy and was very knowledgeable. He also took us to golden temple, change money for us and gave us a ride from the hotel to the airport. My sister left her power bank in his car and he was nice enough to drive to the airport to give it back to us. Strongly recommend!

Amazing experience at Wagha Border

The tour was very well managed. It wasn't a simple pick up and drop but Uppal gave us lot of info on the way to Wagha Border, about the Amritsar city, the city gates, khalsa college, attari junction and wagha border. It was worth it.

Brilliant!! The hospitality, the care, the attention to the small things, true customer delight!! From the pre-tour date communication to the actual tour day, Narender was prompt, courteous, and accommodating. We were a group of 4 adults and 1 Kid, the drive to Atari was smooth and we got the best seats in the house all thanks to Narender! My daughter enjoyed the border retreat experience thoroughly. The Golden Temple tour was as efficient as it could be. As a group of first-timers, I do not think we could have managed the entry, tour, navigation of the lines etc without Narender's help. Highly recommend anyone heading here to enlist this package.

Tour leader/proprietor Narinder and our driver picked me up at my hotel on time. Along the roughly 50 minute drive, he pointed out many interesting features, and we stopped at several places (like the huge university) and he provided a lot of background on Amritsar and the surrounding area -- past and present. Being with a guide got us through the VIP line at the border. The border closing ceremony is a major attraction, to the point where they have actually built a stadium (like 2/3rds of a U.S. football stadium) for viewing. There is quite a crowd participation show before the actual closing occurs. You can get previews on YouTube, but best experience it yourself, with Narinder if possible. Highly recommended.
