Thanks for the review. I agree that the Dall sheep was amazing. It’s not always the case that you can view the sheep as close as we did that day.
On this day you had the 4 hr. Wildlife tour which visits the conservation center and travels along the Turnagain Arm. We saw all of the bears and all the animals were very active on this particular day. Yes, the animals are in enclosed areas but the center has over 200 acres that allows the animals to roam freely within their enclosed areas. It is a Conservation Center that cares for injured, stranded or orphaned animals and many of these animals would probably die if it’s not for the care they receive at this facility.
Since we had such a beautiful day on this particular day, your guide extended your tour by an extra hour so that everyone could enjoy the amazing views from high atop the Chugach Mountains. We are disappointed that you felt the tour was “average”. Wish that you would have commented on how we could have made the tour better. This is a very popular tour that consistently gets high ratings from our guests.
